Faith Hunter introduces you to Somatic Healing. Somatic practices support you in tuning into your body's wisdom. Healing isn't just about changing our thoughts. It's about how your body feels, how it responds.

Hello there Cadre fam. I am Faith Hunter, author and wellness expert and your guide to meditation and Somatic healing. I am here to support you in your overall well being and I'll drop a few wellness tips along the way. Today I want to introduce you to Somatic Healing. You may have heard of it, you may have experienced it before, but here's the thing. If you've ever felt overwhelmed, stuck in this state of stress or anxiety, or you seem to carry your emotions right there on your chest, this video is for you.

Somatic practices support you in tuning into your body's wisdom. It is about reconnecting with yourself in a way that goes beyond thinking and constantly talking about how you feel. You see, your body remembers everything. Your body remembers every experience, every moment of joy and pain, all those sensations of tension and stress. And yes, it's stored in your nervous system. And when you don't have space to process those experiences, they show up in the body as tightness, as pain, as fatigue, and as numbness.

I want you to think about the last time you felt anxious or stressed. Maybe was in your shoulders, right? You felt a little tension and stress there, tightness in your jaw muscles, in your neck. Or maybe your breath was shallow. That isn't just in your head, it's how your body is responding. Somatic Healing helps us to shift from our survival mode into a space where we feel safe, we feel grounded, and we feel present. Healing isn't just about changing our thoughts. It's about how your body feels, how it responds, how it holds on to all of those experiences you see without realizing it.

Many of us carry old patterns, old behaviors from decades of moments and experiences. It could be from our childhood, pain, loss, all the layers of grief, or even just daily life. And over time, it takes a toll on our body and yes, a toll on the nervous system. Somatic Healing helps us break those patterns, allowing us to move through life with a little more ease, a little more softness and self awareness. And the really cool part about Somatic Healing, you don't need to feel like it has to happen immediately.

You just take small practices, take small steps of mindfulness, deep breathing, gentle movement, and even just being and feeling and observing. So I want you to try something with me. Place one hand over the center of your chest and the other hand on your belly and start to breathe slowly in and out of your nose. Feel the rhythm of your breath, feel your heartbeat. Notice if there are any sensations moving through your body. If your jaw muscles are clenched, your shoulders, and as you breathe in and out.

Allow each exhale to ground you a little bit. Now don't force it, just allow it to be a soft invitation to let go, release and be present and right. There is a simple somatic practice. You're simply bringing awareness to how you feel, and you're allowing your body, the time, the spaciousness, and the grace to align. Here's what I'm going to encourage I encourage you to try this a few times today. And as you do this, notice how your body speaks to you. Because ultimately, healing is about awareness.

Now, if this resonated with you, I want you to stay with me so that we can travel along this healing journey together. See you soon and stay spiritually. Fly. Ciao.
