Hello. Hello, Cadre. Welcome to Wealth Wisdom Wednesdays and today is about the connection between mental health and money building wealth through a wealthy mindset. So a lot of what we do in our lives is heavily related to personal psychology. Kelly 1803. Welcome to Live. Happy to have you on live. And tuning in. So a big part of Speak Wonder. Welcome, welcome. Happy to have you on live. A big part of why people. A lot of people struggle with finance or building wealth, attracting abundance to them.

Building abundance from inside out is. That's. This is where it starts. It starts from from within. And an interesting thing. I had an epiphany not. Not too long ago because it was like, back in 2017, I was in banking already for three years. Three. Yeah, I think it was. Yeah, four years. And I was with one bank for three and then another bank for one at the time. And I just was really struggling mentally. And I always had a passion for finance. I always had a passion to help people manage their money, build their wealth.

See, that clear vision of where they want to go, like, that is the funnest part of finance is like, building a vision, a clear picture. Just like when you see a CEO or like, Luke, he's a visionary, right? Good evening from Erie. Yeah, welcome. Welcome to life. Like, when you hear visionaries speak, when you hear a CEO speak that you really resonate with, right? That Luke is a prime example. Luke Wendland, the CEO of Cadre, had him on my podcast. Amazing guy. Everyone that I met in the Cadre community, amazing people, and, you know, they.

That's what I helped my clients with. And even I'm still in the financial service industry now, and helping them see the vision of, like, what's possible, right? That's. That's the funnest part of what I do. But when I had been in the industry for a little while, I was still pretty young. I think I was 26 in 2018, something like that. I'm 32 now. I was really struggling. It was. It's high stress, right? Managing people's money. It's. It's fun, but it's. It has its moments where it's really difficult.

Um, and. And I was really struggling mentally with, like, just, like, it was very high pressure because on one hand, they're teach. They tell you and teach you, like, how to help people manage their money, how to grow their wealth, how to build good credit, all these amazing things, right? Which is financial literacy, which. Which is super beneficial, right? I'm. I learned it myself. And then I'm relaying that knowledge and education, my clients, educating my clients on how to build, build their wealth, build their financial abundance and their wealth mindset.

But I was, I got to a point where I was like, well, you're telling me to do all this, but you're also putting pressure on me to make sales. So there's a, there's a disconnect, right? So I had a really hard time with it because I, I know that we all have to sell, we all have to sell product or service, a vision to people. But the way that the bank teaches you how to do it, I didn't agree with it. It was against my morals, my ethics and scruples. So that's when I was like, I went, I had to go within.

I had to go within it. And I didn't know how to do that at the time. So that's when I found meditation. And I know I talk a lot about meditation in a lot of these lives, but it's because it's so helpful for helping to see things as they actually are, to help visualize a clear picture of really how things are versus how they, how we make them up in our minds. And a lot of us, I feel like, get caught up in that. And that's where our mental blocks stem from. A lot of the time is because we're obsessing or fixating on something that a lot of times is out of our control or it's within our control.

And we just need a little mental tweak, a little mental adjustment. And that's something that I had to do for myself to be able to show up better for my family, my wife, my friends, my clients. So meditation, building wealth and abundance mindset takes time. I started in 2017, we're now in 2025. I started with three minute or two to three minute meditation sessions. And it's taken me years. And it doesn't happen right away. It doesn't happen right away. And don't expect it to happen right away. For you to, like when you're putting in the work, when you're putting like the daily, the, the daily habits of building a better financial mindset, building a, a better, you know, career business, it's going to take time.

And I feel like when we're younger, we're like, we want it now, we want it right now and we don't want to do the work or we want it right now and it's just not happening fast enough. I had to, I had to teach myself to get out of that mindset because it's easy to get caught up in. Like we want to, we want it now, we want it immediately when I went faster. But that's not the way life works. Life is like this and like this and like this. So when what I'm getting at is use meditation or use positive affirmations as a tool to help you rather than chasing after what you want.

I have, I've been flipping the switch and I want to share with that with all of you rather than chase after what you want, flip that script and go, how can I attract to me what I want? Because when we attract to us what we want and then we mentally rehearse up here and through how we speak to ourselves and others, we're going to be in the best possible position to prime our, our mind, our abundance mindset, our wealth building mindset, to be in the best position and to create the best opportunities for wealth to come to, back to us, to attract wealth to us.

So it's, it's a lot of it is psychology. It's. And just for an example, something that I, I've been doing, I, I do a little kind of prep, like mental rehearsal before I do my meditation. So 2017 started with two to three minutes meditation sessions per day. Just, just focus on breathing. I didn't have any imagery I was focusing on. I didn't have any positive affirmations at the time. Fast forward to 2025. So started with 2 to 3 minute sessions, 2025. I'm now at 20 minute sessions to 30 minute sessions in one sitting.

And then I'm basically trying to do two sessions a day right now because myself and my wife's dog got attacked by a pit bull in our backyard. It busted through our fence lob, bottom fence panel and it was very traumatizing. So because I've been able to calm my adrenaline, calm my nerves a lot better and I've been able to manage it better, it's made managing sometimes chaotic moments better for me because when things get chaotic or when things go awry, sometimes we, we're in that fight or flight mode and when we're in fight or flight mode, we're not in creator mode.

We can't be, we can't be in creator mode when we're in fight or flight mode. So we have to find ways to switch out of that mode. And the way that I've been able to switch out of that mode faster and more quickly is through meditation. Daily meditation. Yeah. Yeah, I really appreciate that. Speak wonder. Yeah, it happens. It's, it's it was unfortunate, but thank goodness our dog's okay. He's healing, he's on medication right now and stuff. But definitely was a, was a shock. And it was literally as soon as I got home, I was visiting my parents in one city and then come back home and then we went outside and it was super nice day.

And then all of a sudden my dog's barking at the other dog and then have our fence up and everything. And then all of a sudden the other dog bust through the fence and, and snapped and like latched on my dog. So I had to get that dog off. So it was, it was scary. But that's why don't be, don't beat yourself up. If your mental agility, your mental resilience doesn't happen right away. It's taken me years to build and I'm someone I feel is pretty, pretty mentally resilient. And it's. But through time, through a little bit of effort, thinking, long term vision, long term vision, you will attract wealth to you.

You will build those financial habits to you. So I want to end this live with a little tip. Start with a great book that I listen to as an audiobook. The author's called James Clear and the book's called Atomic Habits. And basically he talks about if you're trying to start anything new, if you don't already have your own kind of mental rehearsal practice doesn't have to be meditation. I want to preface this. You don't have to meditate. This is just something that I've found that works for me and I've seen through research and trial and error that it's worked for a lot of other people that they're able to focus on a higher level.

They're able to sustain focus for a longer period of time, but also handles stressful events better through meditating. So yeah, so start for yourself. If you've never meditated before, never done any sort of mental rehearsal, start with 1 to 2 minute sessions every day. And this can be meditation, this can be just positive affirmation statements and all I want you to do, set a timer on your phone. You use your clock, if you've got an iPhone or Android, whatever phone it is, and start a timer for one to two minutes.

Focus on your breath. Look up any YouTube video or if you're having a stressful moment, focus on your breath. When we get stressed, our breath becomes more shallow, but our breath can be used to reset our stress. So if we're in a heightened stress environment to help bring us back down from that, we can physiologically release that stress through our breath. And then when we do that, it will enable us to focus better and recover better. And then when we're looking to tackle whatever it is that we're looking to tackle next on our to do list, we'll be better equipped to handle it.

So start with a one to two minute session of breath work, and then also use it to imagine the best case scenario of what you're trying to achieve. Have a have like a little vision. Write it down on a piece of paper before you do your session, and then mentally rehearse it. Mentally remember it in your meditation session. Give it a go. Let me know how it goes in the comments of this or another post, or on my Cadre page. So really appreciate you all listening in and stay tuned for Sunday Spark sessions this Sunday.

All right, take care.
