What's going on cadre at your boy, Alex, not count again with another live today. It's lunchtime. 1:00 PM Pacific. Looking for my dog here. Always let him out at lunch. Bring him back in here. He is. There's Pinot. Good boy, pop. And, um, want to talk about the art of slowing down. Because I think I talked about it in my last slide. Yesterday, um, oh, check out this ready pop. Good boys. Um, I talked about it the other day. Because, like I said, me and my wife are in a different light. We're gonna be.

Entering a new life phase without having a baby. I'm gonna be a father and my wife's gonna be a mother. Um, in approximately February 10th. So very grateful or very appreciative. Um, we're very excited. We're very scared. Um, we're very optimistic. Um, yeah. And we're just, we're stoked that we get to have this experience. Cuz not everyone can, uh, have kids. Um, so we're very grateful. Um, and so speaking to that, I've been working on over the last few weeks of. Learning how to slow down. Cuz I, cuz I've talked about it in previous lives.

I think that. Um, I was going at such a frenetic. Frantic pace. Since my early twenties and I didn't need to do that. And I'm learning now that. I can remove remove things from my plate. And still succeed. And now I think it was like FOMO, like fear of missing out fear of like, oh, I don't want to miss out on this opportunity. I, I gotta say yes. I gotta, I gotta do it. I gotta give it a shot. Um, but you don't always have to do that. And in order to be truly. Optimized and maximize your time and be effective and efficient.

You actually. Have to do less to do more. So the art of slowing down is teaching me. Um, to be more intentional. To be more thoughtful, to be more mindful. Um, to be more, it is helping me refocus. Um, and I gotta say, like, I've taken a break from social media, like I'm, I've been trying to be. Barely on it besides like cadre I don't, I don't consider cadre's social media. I consider it. To be like a, like a. Uplifting app like a self-improvement self-development personal development app, right?

So I don't, so I don't feel it to be social media, like other social media. I'm like TikTok, Instagram. YouTube like that social media. Um, so I've taken a step back from. Uh, I was just posting so much on my YouTube channel on, uh, I would edit it in TikTok. I would create a, I'd create a post in TikTok, edit it in TikTok. And then export it and then like post it on TikTok and on YouTube. YouTube's my main platform. For my brand and it's been growing, it's been growing very steadily. Al almost a thousand subscribers on YouTube.

I'm at 9 62. And then TikTok is 8 44. So it is growing, but. It's been at the expense of my mental health to a certain extent. Because I've been just always on it. And I feel like it's been like kind of a brain extension of me a little bit, but. It. And then my subconscious is constantly ruminating on content to make and stuff. When I, when I'm on it, every. Day. So I've had to take a step back because I'm gonna be a dad because I can't. Can't be always on all the time and no one can. My wife, isn't gonna be able to be constantly on all the time.

I'm not gonna be able to be constantly on all the time, mentally, physically, spiritually. Um, so the only way that I can be more present is by. Reducing or removing more that was on my plate. So I just wanted to. Uh, share that with y'all. That, uh, it's okay to slow down. It's okay. That the art is slowing down. Uh, teaches you how to speed back up. Um, but at a more sustainable pace. Cuz it's really about the long haul. It's about long term. It's about. Doing things at a sustainable pace that, that works for you.

Cuz you don't have to do it at like warp speed. Uh, and that's kinda what I was doing before. And all it did was it burnt me out and it caused more stress. Which is what I don't want. And I'm, and. Another thing that's helped me. The art of slowing down to speed back up. Is meditation. And I talk about it a lot. I talk it about it a lot though, because I'm someone that's. That's can get anxious easily. But with um, the daily meditation. Right. I integrate breath, work into the meditation. I listen to a guided meditation on a, on.

An app called Oak it's O a K. I don't know if it's for Android, but I know for sure. It's for our. iPhone. Um, and I, listen, I, I do half an hour a day and try and. Do half an hour, every single day, I, I fall off of it sometimes for sure. But. Um, but it's just so helpful to, to sit with our own thoughts. Thoughts not judge our thoughts. Thoughts it's taught me just to not analyze the thoughts or judge the thoughts, but just. Sit back, let the thought, let the, the, the thoughts fly. Let them fly by let them.

Like feel them, but don't judge them. Um, and that's been very helpful for me. And it might be helpful for you as well. Um, so that's all I wanted to say. I wanted to keep this live very short today. And I wanna keep posting daily lives. Uh, that don't overlap with other people's at their contributors. Um, but yeah, I just wanted to say. It's okay to slow down. Life has different seasons and I'm in a slowing down season. With my wife to become more present for my wife. And for a future baby. So.

Thank you all for tuning in cadres fear, cadre fam. To this live, the art of slowing down. How to slow down to speed up. Um, and I'm super grateful to be here. So it is Thursday. And it is 1:07 PM Pacific. So have yourselves a fabulous Thursday. And I'll see if I can do a T G I F Friday tomorrow. At lunchtime, same around same time. As long as I don't overlap with someone else's life. So, whether you're tuned in or you're not tuned in, or you watch this, uh, live on replay. I appreciate you. I appreciate your time, energy and tension.

Intention and as always, may be happy, may be healthy.
