Hello Cadre. Happy St. Patrick's Day. I was gonna so hopefully you're wearing green. I am not being festive and not wearing the green. But this could be you reminder to maybe put something green on. I hope you're having a great Monday. Halfway through March. Starting to get warmer out there. Okay, so let's start how we always start, with the three things of three. Hello, welcome. Starting with the three things of three, which is the first is what are you feeling right now? Could be emotions, sensations, kind of, kind of anything that you.

It's coming to mind. Thoughts. What are some feelings right now? Halfway through the day, Halfway through Monday. Let's just ground ourselves, kind of use this as a time to reset. So three things that are feeling right now, Hungry or sad. What are three things you're feeling? And then what are three intentions that you have for the rest of the day? So what are three could be goals, could be things on your to do list. What are three intentions that you have for the rest of the day? Could be showing up a certain way, could be getting something done.

Three intentions. And the last are what are three gratitudes that you have? Could be from this morning, could be from the weekend, could be from last week, could be going forward. What are three things you are grateful for? For right now, use this as a time to reset, kind of reframe, look at how you want to be show up intentionally how you want to show up and then feel gratitude. Hello, Speak, wonder. Welcome. Just wrapping up the three things of three. Three things that are feeling, three intentions that you have and then three.

Three gratitudes. Now today I want to bring you some research that goes with leader mindfulness. This is a big topic for me as that's what I'm doing my current thesis on is leader mindfulness. So I'll be looking at an article from ZAO in 2023 which is a meta analysis of leader mindfulness. Which is basically a meta analysis is bringing together all research that has been done that they could find on leadership and mindfulness and bringing that together, finding what are the big overarching findings so far in all past research.

So first, leadership mindfulness. This is means being fully present, aware and engaged in the moment involves focusing on the present moment without automatically reactively react, without automatic reactivity or judgment going on. So it's being fully aware of of how the internal and external environment and so why does this matter? Leaders often manage high stress, complex relationships and constant uncertainty. Mindfulness can help leaders handle that stress, make better decision and improve relationships.

There's been research done on the mental health of leadership and it can be very draining depend, you know, with a lot of people coming at you with different issues and having to deal with that on top of your work yourself. So key benefits of leadership mindfulness. This is improving well being. So reducing stress, anxiety and emotional exhaustion. So kind of burnout it's getting at enhances performance so increases job effectiveness and cognitive flexibility. A huge component of leadership that is being researched right now is leadership adaptability.

So adapting to different environments. This was really prevalent during COVID when often a lot of organizations had to go through changes rapidly. So now a lot of organizations are looking at the adaptability and flexibility of leadership. Strengthens relationships. So more empathetic, fair and supportive leadership styles. A lot of transformational aspects, a lot of servant leadership aspects which are great have found to be very effective. And then it boosts team performance as well. So followers of mindful leaders report better well being and job satisfaction.

A lot of there's been research on emotional contagion which is leadership emotions tend to be passed down to employee employees. So you know, more mindful leaders that has been shown to pass kind of that reduced, you know, the well being aspects and job satisfaction tends to be passed down through emotional contagion. How can leaders cultivate mindfulness? So there's some leadership development that is using mindfulness but you know, daily mindfulness practices like meditation, deep breathing, intentional pauses, mindfulness interventions.

So mindfulness based stress reduction that program and then more awareness and decision. So I like to talk about AIM which is awareness, intention and then make it happen. So awareness, what am I feeling? What what do? What does the environment call for me? So as a leader, am I feeling stressed right now? But the environment needs me to create more certainty for my employees. So that's that awareness and then that intentionality is how can I make that happen? You know, how can I be more intentional about this and then make it happen?

You know, how can I effectively produce this behavior? So that's one way that we can do it. So the main takeaway is that leadership create mindful leaders create a ripple effect where leaders practice mindfulness positively impacting themselves and the team's stress level satisfaction performance. So my one kind of takeaway question now I like to take move this question for the broader audience because you know, leadership is not just about a formal position, but it also is anyone. Leadership can be anyone.

It could be just leading yourself. So my leadership question for you is to what is a leadership moment that you can take a moment and pause before you take action. So what is when is a time that this might be consistently arising for you? Or maybe this is something that is about to happen? But what is the time where you can pause, take a breath and intentionally move forward to make it happen, Aligning your actions with maybe your values more so that's kind of the research I brought in. Speak Wonder thanks for sharing about your three Things of three so sending out cards to loved ones, bringing a meal to family, taking along walk.

Great. Those are great. Great. Three things of three. It sounds like you're being very, you know, value to a lot of people right now. You know you're thinking of a lot of people and that's awesome. And then taking a long walk for yourself as well. Awesome. 3 Gratitude saw a great high school musical last week. Awesome. Getting to see my granddaughter today, ballet class and meaningful conversations with phone on friends. A lot of connections and relationship building. I love it. Speak Wonder oh no, my phone fell.

Sorry. That's all I have. So hope you have a great rest of your week and a great rest of your Monday. I'll see you next Monday at noon. Happy St. Patrick's Day. Goodbye.
