JC introduces himself, welcomes viewers to the Cadre Sphere, and affirms that he cares about them to establish a compassionate, intentional space for the short session.
He alerts people—especially in northern Minnesota and the Twin Cities—about smoky conditions, reminding listeners to take it easy and seek fresh air if they're struggling to breathe.
JC names common experiences of burnout and low energy—feeling beat up, overloaded, or unable to continue—and normalizes those moments as part of life.
He reframes the internal statement 'I can't' not as a sign of incapability but as evidence that you've already been doing the work or that you already are what you hoped to become, challenging self-criticism.
JC advises concrete steps—taking a break, rescheduling commitments, asking for help—and offers the Cadre Sphere as a place for audibles and support so viewers can pause and recuperate.
He closes with a friendly farewell and a short counted breathing prompt to help listeners transition calmly after the message.
I'm glad that we are different. We've better things to do. We got better things to do for these couple of minutes, y'all. And those better things are spending a little bit of time here in the Cadre Sphere. My name is JC. If we've never shared time and space together before, thank you for the opportunity to spend some time with you. right now. I'm glad I'm here. I'm glad you're here. I know the things I know and I care about you. It's first of all, it's smoky outside. If you're in the north, Minnesota, the Boundary Waters, our hearts are on fire and down in the Twin Cities, it is smoky.
So if you're up here, be mindful. Take it easy and make sure you're finding places to find some fresh air because it's hard to take a breath today. Here's the deal. There are times you may be going, wow, I'm tired. I'm beat up. I can't do it. Whatever it is. You may have had a long week. I've had a long week. You may have a lot of things on your mind or be caring for a lot of people, a lot of passions. And you may go, I just don't have anything. I can't do it. I think an important reframe here, and not a reframe to be like, oh, let's make up a different truth, but let's acknowledge that there is plurality, there's broadness to truth.
Quite often when you're like, I can't do it, it's not a sign that you can't. It's a sign you already have, or even more so, a sign you already are. So if right now you're in that space where you're going, I can't, consider how that can't may also be a I already am. I can't do all the things. You may be going, well, it's because you already have been doing those things. It doesn't change the moment in terms of your output. You may need to take a break. You may need to say, hey, I need to cancel that meeting today, or I need to reschedule, or I need to ask for help.
But when you look at it as a, well, I thought I was good, but I'm not. I thought I was capable of it, but I'm not. That's an untruth. It's probably you are. And now you need a little bit of an audible or a little bit of support. The good thing is right here in the cadre sphere, we have your audibles. We have your other pathways to consider. And being right here, this is your break. Take it, live with it, and we'll see you tomorrow. Have a good one. One, two, three, 4, shallow.
