from now we'll all be gone All our friends will move away And they're going to better places But our friends? Good morning, Cadre. How are we on this Thursday morning? And it's October. By golly, it is October. For over three years now, I've been doing this Cadre Today thing, and it is a great thing to get to do. every darn day getting a chance to remind you that we are glad that we're here. We're glad that you're here. We know the things we know and we care about you. And because of that, we're here to remind you that there's lots of ways to be well.

These are those daily familiarities that you get again and again and again and again that make you go, I'm onto something. You are onto something out there, people. That was a little head and heart the head and the heart, the band, but also music for your head and for your heart that, everything changes. That's the one beautiful thing. We can get really good at change because we're always doing it. We'll never feel like we're getting good at it, but that's part of the point. The message for you today, an invitation for you today, is to consider when you need to use your head, when you need to use your heart, and when you need to use your hands.

And maybe if you're a leader out there, consider when what people need from you is the empowerment, the encouragement, and the clarity on how to use their head, their heart, their hands. If someone walks up to you and they say, gosh, what's going on? I don't understand. And all of a sudden you try to speak to their heart. They may get frustrated and then you'll need to speak to their heart. So if they're asking for understanding, give them some information. If all of a sudden they're walking up and they're down, they're defeated, they're deflated, they're depressed, they're mad, they're frustrated, and all of a sudden you go, well, just go do your work, they may get even more mad because they're saying, hey, my heart needs something right now.

So how do we speak to the heart? Well, we either listen or we help. We go, how do we How do we help what you're feeling move through that change and loss curve, through the stuff that we do, that we process with our emotions, until we're ready to move back into a more homeostasis? And sometimes people want to help. And we try to tell them, well, here's what's going on, or we try to tell them that we appreciate them, when in reality, they're wanting to bear the load with you. And they may need that for their own well-being of brain, of heart, of hands, of body, of spirit.

They may need to get to be a part of the thing. So let them. My invitation for you today, consider when people need head, heart, or hands. Guess what? You're part of people. What do you need right now? Do you need some information? Do you need some inspiration? Or do you need some action? Figure it out. You're good at these things. See you tomorrow.
