JC describes the airport environment, mentions his phone setup and that he's headed to Hartford, and wonders whether people are traveling for work or vacation. He raises the idea that trips can go as planned or encounter curveballs.
He contrasts people who follow plans closely with those who roll with unpredictability, noting labels like 'hot mess' and the perceptions attached to each group. He invites viewers to consider potential positive outcomes that can come from messy moments.
JC encourages viewers to pause after a chaotic moment and ask what they gained—what lesson, memory, or opportunity emerged. He suggests looking for the 'fruit' of those experiences instead of only seeing them as negative.
JC closes the video by wishing viewers safe travels and saying he'll see them tomorrow, ending on a warm, supportive note.
Hey there, Cadre. How are we doing on this Saturday morning? I hope, hope, hope, hope you are doing great. Even if you're not, here's your daily reminder that you are still incredibly worthy and capable of doing some pretty remarkable things. My name is JC. If we haven't done this together before, shared space and conversation and consideration, Thanks for spending some time with me today. I'm glad I'm here. I'm glad you are here. I know the things I know and I care about you. You know, right behind the camera here, my phone's propped up on the wall on the other side.
There's people walking left and right who are taking their luggage to go to their flights to fly off to far off lands. I'm heading to Hartford, CT today and I'm one of those people who has my bag and I'm going off. It's interesting because I think about all the people here and are they going somewhere for vacation or for work? Are they going somewhere where things are going to go as planned or there's going to be curveballs or unseen variables that send their trip to directions that they weren't planning?
And as we know, some people are more susceptible to things going not as planned as others. Some people are very much like everything by the book and other people are, we're on the journey and we'll see where it takes us. And sometimes people on that side of the spectrum are maybe more in the hot mess category and people on the other side are maybe more the straight line by the book category. And then there's perceptions about those two groups of people, right? and what they experience and what they take away from those experiences.
But I invite you to consider what are the great things that come out of maybe the hot mess moments of our life. Not that we should retune ourselves and go, well, I need to be messier or be less messy, but maybe that when messiness naturally shows up to go, ah, what is the opportunity here? What is the experience I'm going to have, the memory I'm going to make, the lesson I'm going to learn? Because it's true. We could go ahead and experience something that has a lot of value and bear a lot of fruit.
And because we perceive it as being not a good thing, we can blind ourselves from the true value of that moment. So whether you are a straight line by the book person and everything always goes exactly as planned, or a hot mess individual, My invitation for you today is to consider what does each experience hold for you? My invitation for you today is to go, okay, when you're getting ready to say the day is done and you look back and you go, oh my gosh, I can't believe that thing happened. Maybe you're embarrassed or frustrated that it didn't go the way that you planned.
Maybe take a moment and go, huh, what did I gain from that experience? Because there's probably some fruit to pick off that vine. Y'all, wherever you're going today, safe travels. See you tomorrow.
