Hey there, Cadre. Happy Monday. Another Monday, another day right here in the Cadre sphere. Cadre, a special group of people with a special intention. Rose 612 is a part of that. I'm a part of that. You all are a part of that special group of people with a special purpose and intention, and that intention is to show the world that there's lots of ways to be well, lots of ways to navigate this world, lots of ways to try and feel and think our way to a place where we can go, huh, I am on my own side.
I'm glad I'm here. I'm glad you're here. I know the things I know and I care about you. You know, Monday for a lot of people is the beginning of the process of doing the things that you do with your life, right? Work, passion, vocation, mission, vision, all of that, right? Monday's the traditional cultural normative beginning of the week. And so, so often you see contributors like myself going, hey, here's something to think about or a little morsel to be nourished by as you start to do the things that you do with your life this week.
And one of the things that One of the tools in my belt that I bring out all of the time, no matter what hat I put on, is the act, the art, the tool of noticing. You know, as a coach, as a consultant, as a colleague, as a leader, as a mentor, as a follower, as a person who's invested, one of the best things you can do is to share what you're noticing. Noticing in the world or within a conversation, noticing within someone's individual mannerisms or processing or within a group or a team. It's a really great way to do two things.
Number one, to own what you're adding to the conversation. You know, I'm noticing that everybody has a lot of ideas. Right? I am noticing that. But what it also does is it allows everybody else to go, huh, why is that person who's here noticing that? Is it true? Is it not true? It's a really great way to, with the right amount of distance and respect, maybe share some of the things that need to be shared in the room. You know, if you go, well, everybody, everybody's just speaking over one another, that can be seen as combative or it can be seen as as you not investing in the space.
Shifting that to, you know, I noticed that everyone has a lot to say right now. They could go, well, thank you for sharing what you're noticing. And it lives in a space of you. You get to own that. But number two, it allows people to consider how they are being perceived in this world. So much of assessment work, so leadership or personality assessment, all the, you know, in the assessment world, you hear DISC, you hear Hogan's, you hear StrengthsFinders, you hear all these different ways of assessing people.
My favorite assessments are the ones that don't assess, some of them be like, I am this, but they are the ones that say, The world perceives you as. The way that you are perceived is really important. Because at the end of the day, the energy we're putting in the world, one of the reasons we put it in the world is because we want it to impact people in the way that we want to impact people. Having the power to say, Hey, I noticed that something is happening right now. I'm observing something happening right now.
Then asking people, Is there truth to that? And if not, the second question is, So why is that what I'm picking up? And it becomes an opportunity for you to grow. Notice today, y'all. That's my invitation. We'll see you tomorrow. Bye.
