Hey Cadre, how are we doing? Take two today. Tried earlier today and. The interwebs weren't weren't being friendly, but I'm here now. OK, Brock, how are you doing, my friend? Nice to see you on this. Hmm. Thursday. It's Thursday. It's Thursday, y'all. I hope you're doing great. 15 Central Standard Time where I am and I hope where you are. It's a good time. Good time for you to jump on in. Oh, gas station snacks. Emily, you know me. Chicken sandwich, pickles, ranch dressing. Protein drink. Baja Blast.

Let's talk about Baja Blast, the invention of Taco Bell and McDonald's and Mountain Dew. I'll tell you. Baja Blast out of the bottle does not taste as good as Baja Blast out of the fountain. And then I got some cookies too. So those are my GSSs for the day, my gas station snacks. It's lunchtime. I'm in between coaching sessions at one of my clients and had to jump on to say howdy. I hold space for people quite often. What I mean by that is so often when people are doing their lives, they walk into the space to do the thing that they do.

And then they, once the thing is done, they leave. You go to work, you go to, you know, you walk into the conversation with your loved ones. You are always the one having to do within the space. And my work across a lot of different enterprises and industries is quite often being like, Hey, What if right now you didn't have to do something in this space, but there is someone saying, Okay, how are you doing? What are you thinking about? Here are other questions that are playing off of the things you just shared.

In that act of holding space for people, people quite often find some pretty wonderful, miraculous things that they maybe wouldn't have found without the space being held. I often set the prerequisite for my success, for my contentment with what I'm doing is did I hold space? That's it. If I held space, most times I will consider myself to be content with what I provided. There are times that I will hold space, maybe in a performative space, like let's say Like last night, I was the musician at Maggie's Piano Bar at Crooner's Supper Club.

So when you walk into the supper club, there's a bar and there's a grand piano in the corner. And my job last night was to make music for people who are in that space. Other times I hold space for conversational movement. So I'll be like, Hey, if you'd want to move with people you don't know yet, outside for a walk at this time on this day, We will be there. And by we, I mean me and anybody else who shows up. And there are times that no one shows up to those conversational movement spaces. And last night, nobody really showed up at Maggie's Piano Bar.

That's not completely true. People moved through this space, but no one came there exactly for that moment. In a lot of segments of the world, we maybe consider that That was not a successful endeavor or a successful use of time. I played piano and I sang for a relatively empty room. And yet, there's great success if your prerequisite is holding space. Because I'll tell you, the amount of people who knew that space was being held for them, even though they did not choose to step into it, This is bountiful.

It feels good to know that people are holding space for you or thinking about you. So my invitation for you today is sending a message that says something like, Hey, I just thought about you. I hope you're doing okay. What's going on? That is holding space for people. They may not reply back, or they may reply back with a thumbs up, And you may go, Ah, I put myself out there. I said, Hey, I'm listening. I'm thinking. You, I'm thinking about you. And that person may not respond. The impact of knowing that space is held for you is bountiful.

It's kind of what we're doing here at Cadre. You know that we are here, literally. We're here. We know that the impact of knowing that someone is there for you, it's powerful. So hold space for one another. I'm glad I'm here. I'm glad you are here. I know the things I know and I care about you. I'll see you tomorrow.
