Foreign. So happy to be back in the Cadre sphere. It's been a while. If you are new to my stream, my name is Brianna and I am a health and wellness coach. I am a yoga teacher, a personal trainer, a. Hi, Emily. And my, my passion really is just health, wellness and living our, our best lives possible. And a lot of that has to do with our mind. And so I'm also a big meditation junkie as well. So. But wanted to first just say, I know it's been a few weeks. I have been dealing with some grief with some family members and some loss.

And so I do appreciate having some of the, the space and time to process that. Hi Steph. Nice to meet you and see you. But you know, we all have our ways of grieving and so it was a, you know, a dear relative and what I mean by that is we, we come to earth, we get a body, we will live in this body. And how are we going to treat this body? How are we going to show up in this body? It, it's, it's, it's a gift, right? This temple we have is a beautiful gift and it's very hard for us to learn how to take care of it.

Well, given the fact at least in the United States, don't get me started on our food and all that. But we're also just not really taught. Like, you know, I think they're doing a better job now with teaching like how did have a good school platform and, and things like that. But like back when I was in school, they didn't teach you how to do that. You really had to like seek out that information. And so January is at the time where a lot of people started a new physical routine and they, the gyms are busier and things like that.

And so I, the worst thing about starting a routine is sometimes people are not in their body. They're just doing what they think they should do and they're not listening to their body. They're not feeling the move. So let's just take a bicep curl. They're not feeling the movement, the, their bicep moving. They're just doing the motions. And when that happens, people get hurt. And. Which is the word, like you're, you're starting this new journey, you're trying to get better and you get hurt, right?

Like how many times has that happened you or have you heard that happen? And the biggest problem with, with injury is that it, it sets us back, right? And then we remember that we're in this body because a Hi Steph. Because a. Healthy person wants everything and a sick person only wants one thing and that is their health. So I would argue that health is one of the great. Like we need this. And so taking care of our body is huge. One thing that has really helped me with body dysmorphia, Chronic, chronic illness and ailments is this book right here, one of the best books to change the relationship with your body.

And Louise is awesome. She goes into basically how when we don't let things like we don't want reality pass through, we hold on to it and it caused these emotions and stuff just cause physical ailments. There's not an outlet. Like for. She says like a lot of cancers are about deep sea seated resentment. Now take. If you're into metaphysical stuff, great. If not, like just don't worry about it. You don't have to believe me, right? Just it's in the book though. She goes, she does a really good job about it.

And she has this like this chart of like every ailment that one could have and typically. The belief that someone that you're carrying that's that could be contributing to it. Now of course there's always physical issues and that happen too. So this is just like an idea of like what might be going on on and like the subconscious arena. And then on this side is the affirmation to heal it and to like set yourself free from it. And I told you before that I experienced pretty miraculous dealing with my back or I didn't tell you it was my back.

And it was because of this book. To be honest. I was going through some of the emotions and looking at what back meant. Usually means like you're not feeling supported. You were not. Just telling you why not. Fear of money, lack of financial support. That's your lower back, your mid back. Is guilt stuck in all that stuff back there or like get it off my back. I mean it goes into the whole thing. And she even goals like through every organ and like it's pretty crazy stuff. And so when I did this I also am like energy worker.

And so I literally just like kind of replace the beliefs and put. Took out the bad, put the affirmation in and like I could feel my lower back just like, like it was it released, it was good. Still some stuff in there. Not going to get drunk. But the pain went away, which was huge. And I now that's one side of the coin, right? Let's get back into the physical reality we're truly working with now. If your neck Is like kind of bothering you. You got some shoulder stuff. Like it's probably not a great idea to do a, a ton of.

Shoulder presses, right? You're already having something that's aggravating you. We don't need to put more fire on the flame. So listening to your body really comes down to like being present with yourself so that you can see like, okay, this is how my body is showing up today, right? Like right now. Like, yeah, my neck is a little bit sore, I feel a little stiff in my feet or whatever it might be. Like this can change. Like our body can change day to day depending on are what we're doing in our workloads and our mental state.

But so number one, like meet your body where it's at, like where is it at right now? How does it feel? Do you feel lethargic? Does it feel light? Does it feel like there's a lot of like pulsating energy in there? The best thing is to take inventory. So number one, just where's your body at? Number two, what do you need to do for your body that day? This is. You're non negotiable. My non negotiable. I need to walk for at least 25 minutes every morning. That is. I know that the days that I don't, I feel like.

And I, and doesn't mean I do it every single day because I just want to chill and relax, read a book. But the days that I don't, I really notice it, right? I need to move where I'm. Bodies are made to move. Like years ago they were farming, they were hunting, we were gather, trying to find new places and building things like our bodies are made to. We have meat muscles on there for reason. So that is number two is okay. What I need to know my body well enough to know what I need to do do for it every single day.

If you get an injury and you have to do physical therapy, that's another thing, right? You're trying to get your joints to, to go back to, to its full range of motion and just to alleviate pain. So figuring out what your body needs to be well is going to pay off in the long run so that your body remains healthy. And in a healthy body that can allow the mind to flourish and be healthy. Which is number three, How are you thinking about your body as a woman? It's not good. Very often it's not good.

We are so mean to our bodies. We're so mean to other women about their bodies. And I don't mean like I Am. But I'm just saying, like pop culture, you know, or on Instagram. We have to reframe our relationship with our body. We have to look in the mirror regularly and say, and this can be for men too. Men have it bad as well. That we love our body. Like my. I don't know, my knock. Something you don't like about your body, like, you need to, like, learn to love it. It's the only one you're getting.

And when we're hating our bodies or working out as punishment or starving ourselves or overeating because we can't handle emotions or whatever it is every. Or doing drugs or doing, you know, everybody has, like, their way of, like, thing, and it's due to not being in their highest embodiment. They're not feeling their deepest self in their body at all. And I invite you to really just kind of like in the morning I go like this and I just, Thank you so much, body, for all that you do. Like, you can say whatever you want to.

That makes sense for you. But I try to honor my body every morning because I grew up hating my body so much. And it's a little hard time with it. So really trying to own this new, higher, more authentic version of myself as I grow and evolve. Like, my body needs to have the capacity for it. It'll tell you, like, if you're so I'm a hair tooler, then I know that that means that when I do that, I'm anxious and I'm not, like, calm, right? Like, I'm just not letting her go. So. Hi, Dr. Leslie Davis. Welcome.

And listening to that or catching it allows me to go back to my relaxation. I am in my body. I'm in this beautiful temple. What. What is it trying to say? What is. What is this. This nervous tick that I'm doing? Or what is this pain in my shoulder? Like, what is being about burden to me lately? Or, like, be curious about the body's messages and signals because it will always share that we're probably not letting something go or we're holding on to something that we no longer need to. And like, our workouts are our way to investigate.

Like, what is this body? How can I feel into my soul, into my womanhood, into and into my. My mind? That gets a little wonky sometimes, but I breathe, I notice it, and I come back into my body. Because when we are caught up in that, we're not in our body. And again, that's when people get hurt at the gym. That's when you're starting this new routine, this fitness routine. You're so excited and you're just like yeah, yeah. You know we gotta feel our bodies so that we can say like this, you know, this lap pull down is not working for me today.

I need to find something else. And that's okay. So the more, the more you exercise, the more you work out, the more you just move your body. Finding your non negotiable for the day. For example, my 25 minute walk. That is gonna allow you to like prosper into this. Good, Not good. That's the terrible word to say. But this like open vessel of this temple is the best thing I have ever lived in. That's all I'm getting. And I'm going to make it the best ever even whether I like it or not. You don't have to like everything about your body.

You just have to feel what, what she's giving you, what he's giving you and be grateful that you are able to walk. Some people can even walk, some people can't see like we should be so lucky. And so if there's anything that you're like struggling to find gratitude about, look no farther than the mirror. Your jaw, your hands grabs it right every single. And so I'll leave you with the recap as doing. 3. Define your most pure embodiment within yourself regarding the body of course. One. Pay attention.

What. What is your body saying? Take inventory. How's your body today? What hurts? What doesn't? How are you feeling? Two. Notice go find your non negotiables. What your bare minimum to treat your body well every single day. Like one healthy whatever it is just non negotiable. Find it and try to stick to it. Forgive yourself if you fall off and get right back on third. And finally a healthy body only supplements a healthy mind. And so and they both work together. So have your mind and your heart open in to who you're becoming and blossoming into while you're taking care of yourself.

And know that everybody else is doing exact, trying to do the exact same thing from the level that they're working at. So. Deep breath. Relaxation is the antidote to resistance. So just keep that body nice and relaxed and love yourself so that when you are relaxed you can hear when your body is bringing to you. And that is how you are able to build this more positive relationship with your body over time and hopefully free yourself from any like societal judgments or shoulds or. Should should how you should be your look or whatever.

Whatever. Right. But. Take a deep breath. Yeah. Feels so good to, to be here and, and live. Right. Live. And it does everything own like it digest food. We don't have to do anything about our heart beats and circulates blood. It's just, it's so amazing. So if you can't find anything to be grateful for, be grateful for your body and listen to what it has to say. Because it is such a wise teacher. Thanks for your time today. I will see you next Friday, hopefully in between there as well. But if there's anything else that you're like, yeah, when I feel this, it means that, I don't know, I'm probably a little closed off or whatever it may be.

I would love to hear what your providing messages are for you. So Happy Friday. We'll see you again. But be well. Drink a lot of water, eat some good foods and stay active. Sa.
