Back to a little Uptown Funk and the rest of your day. Have a good day, y' All. Take cassette. Time to check. Julio Stretch.

Styling, willing, living it up in the city. So pretty. Good morning, Cadre. How are we doing today? Hot dance. Hot dance. Hey. Speak. Wonder Cafe. Marisa. Nice to see you, my friend. We'll hit the pause. Don't believe me? Just watch. Come on. And hitting the pause button. Nice to see y'. All. Smzobbs. Nice to see you too. Marisa. It is so great to see you back here in the Cadre sphere this morning. Whether you're doing great or whether you're not doing great, you are in the right place. I hope you're doing great.

But if you're not, guess what? You still have worth. You still have capacity. You still have everything you need to be in this moment, even if it doesn't feel like it. I'm glad that I'm here. I'm glad that you're here. I know the things I know and I care about you. It's Monday. It's November 10th. It is chilly where I am. There's been some snowflakes sputtering the last 24 hours or so. It's gloomy, it's all those things. And whether that makes you happy, whether it doesn't make you happy, that's evidence.

That's evidence that the world is always different for every single person you see and every person you meet. But here in the Cadre sphere, you're gonna find that there's lots of waves, lots of ways and lots of waves. I said waves as soon as. Marisa, your word waves came through. We must be aligned today. Lots of ways to be well, to be present, to be nourished, all those things. I am underdressed for Cadre today. Today on purpose. So I used to. In an earlier chapter of my life, up Until April of 2024, I used to do a lot of running for reasons.

I used to run for connection, to hang out with people I didn't know yet, to go ahead and be in conversation. Me and Marisa used to, many most Wednesdays, spend some time moving around Normand Lake doing exactly that. I also used to run for COS to raise money for organizations like American Cancer Society or National Ms. Or a lot of Puppy Foundations or Second Harvest Heartland. And then all of a sudden, April of 2024, I ran my 40th marathon in Boston, so the biggie. And then I didn't run a mile until last month because I've been sicky.

I've been not well. My body's said, no, do not, do not do a lot of things. And all of a sudden, one of my really good friends. Mickey said, hey, do you want to go ahead and do the Twin Cities Marathon 5K for Second Harvest? And Vicky was like, and we can walk. We can not even show up. We can raise money and not even do that, do the race. But it may be fun to get back into the game again. And I was like, you know, let's. Let's try. Because I'm all about raising money for things that need money. And if I could do it, great.

If I couldn't do it, also great. So the second signed up, it felt really good because I extended the space before the start line. Whether I got to the start line or not, I was able to enjoy the idea that I was going to be having this experience in the future. I always offer the advice, and I'm not an advice giver, but when people ask about, it's like, hey, I'm thinking about signing up for this race. Should I do it? I go, well, whether you end up doing the race or not, signing up is one of the easiest ways to bring joy into your life.

If you place something in your future, the chance that you're going to do it increases immensely. If you place something on your schedule in the future, the joy you get to experience knowing that that thing, the anticipation of that thing is coming up increases. And you know what? 1 miles, but on the day of this race, I did, and it was great, and it was fine. That was that boom. I don't really care. I don't like running. I don't like races. It just doesn't interest me. But being around people I don't know yet does, and raising money for causes that, that, that need money, that interests me.

And being able to know that I'm doing those things for a longer amount of time also interests me. So American Cancer Society reached out a couple weeks ago. C. we know that you've. You've run the six world. Now they've added a seventh world major being Sydney. Sydney, Australia. And like, do you want to. Would you run. Would you raise money for. For our. For American Cancer Society, for City Marathon. And I'm like, another marathon. I'm like, there you go. Speak. Wonder what do you mean by. By best 5k.

Yeah. What. What do you. But like, like, like, like was best meaning your. Your favorite. Like, it was the most enjoyable. I mean, I'm curious as to what you mean by the word best. And congrats on Having something in your life that you deem as. As. As best. I know that. That the best things often have really good energy attached. So I'm like, okay, yeah, American Cancer Society. I will raise money for you for city marathon, which is August 30th of next year. Will I be able to run? Probably not. Will I be able to raise the money?

Sure. Will I get to feel good between now and August 30th that I have maybe this thing in the future? Yeah. Because you know what? I may not be able to run again. And that's not okay. That's not bad. That's not glass half full. That's not making lemonade out of lemons. That is what it is. A lot of life is things that don't have positive perspectives on them. And that's. That's. That is. That is. That is a true statement. But the one thing I can do is extend the space before the start line to go.

Oh, so I played a little Uptown Funk this morning. That's a song I used to always hear whenever I'd be out on the road in. In races. Felt good to play for you today. Speak Wonder. Because everyone stayed and cheered me across finishing. Yes, like, that's what I was hoping the best of experience was, y'. All. If you've ever tuned into Speak Wonders live streams before, please do so. Speak Wonder is a master of shifting perspectives. Best often is a word that's attached to. I did it in the cultural normative way.

I did it the fastest. I stuck to my training plan, yada, yada, yada, which that may bring you some joy as well. I know a lot of people who do doing things faster. Doing things the way that other people say you're supposed to do things actually doesn't bring joy, but they still think that that is the best. So notice what Speak Wonder said here. The best was that the experience with other people was so, so joy filled. That's a lovely thing, y'. All. Back to a little Uptown Funk and the rest of your day.

Wait a minute. Take cassette. Time to check. Julio Stretch. Harlem, Hollywood, Jackson, Mississippi, and wherever you are today. Have a good day, y'. All. Bye.
