Good morning, friends in the Cadre sphere. Happy Thursday to all of you. Happy caregiver Thursday. I have my hug in a mug here this morning and today my hug in a mug of choice is some protein shake in my coffee. So something interesting I'm trying out and it's pretty good. I hope you guys have your hug in a mug or your little piece of self care this morning. Good morning, Luke. Good morning, T. Brown. Good to see you guys on here. Welcome, welcome. Hey, Kel, good to see y'all. So for those of you who I have not met yet, I am.
Yeah, do more yoga. This is my reminder to myself. Maybe I need to squeeze that in today too. So for those of you I have not met yet, I am Steph Irwin and I live in Savannah, Georgia. I'm a caregiver in a couple different forms. Oh, yeah, AG ones. I've heard they're good. I'm gonna try that, Try that out. Yeah. So I'm a caregiver in different forms. I have two neurodivergent children. My daughter was diagnosed with autism last year and both of my kids have ADHD and anxiety. So we, we are living in the neurodivergent household.
And then professionally for work, I work with kids up with cancer and supporting their families in the hospital and in the community as well. So caregiver in a couple different forms there. I do have parents who are getting a little bit older. I don't care for them full time, but I do provide care when they need it with their. With their health issues. So this past week I read this article about the bison. Oh, good morning, Jules. Snowy, Minnesota. Is there a ton of snow up there right now? Well, this kind of goes along with my chat for today about bison.
So I found this fascinating article, and it was saying that most animals don't turn away from storms. And what's really interesting about the bison is they go and face the storms head on. Aw, thank you, sweet Luke. So the bison face the storms head on and they power through and they go through these snowstorms, they go through these blizzards while most other animals are going to turn the opposite direction. And some say it's because they know that they're going to push through the storm faster than just waiting it out or going the other way.
And you know, they're built to withstand these storms. They've got their heavy winter coats, their bodies are powerful and strong, and that's something that allows them to push through, to push through that storm, that blizzard, all of that snow coming. Their way. And, you guys, we are strong like the bison, too. And we may not realize that until we have the courage to turn around and to look at the storms we have gone through and know how far we have come. And, you know, life storms, they're always going to be here.
I mean, y'all feel free to share me. Share with me. If you guys are in a storm right now, maybe you've been in a storm recently or you're in the process of going through one, and they're going to keep coming our way. But how can we channel the courage of our inner bison to get through that storm and to take it head on and to embrace these storms that are often inevitable? But what can we do to control the small things that we can control? And that doesn't mean we can't rest by pushing through. That doesn't mean we can't rest.
Like, please rest. Please take care of yourselves. Give yourselves the respite and the love and the rest you need. But in a bigger picture overall, how can we just keep pushing forward like the bison and channel that. Channel that courage that they have. Good morning, Kelly. So that is my message to you today, you guys, to just put one foot in front of the other. And even if it's a slow travel through your. Through your blizzard that you may be going through, just one foot in front of the other, you guys, because you are stronger than you know.
All right, guys, my challenge to y'all. Channel. Channel your inner bison this week. Jules. Four to five inches overnight. Oh, my word. Okay, you guys stay warm up there. My northern friends stay warm. Okay, guys, cheers from my hug and a mug to you. Hey, Shannon. I will chat with y'all next week. Bye.
