End of summer! Pitta energy shifting. Why physical health is more on your mind.
Bree opens the video as your wellness coach, greets the Cadre, and announces the focus on the shift from summer into fall.
She describes how summer accumulates heat (pitta) in body and mind, notes common signs like irritability, and prompts viewers to rate and reflect on how their summer went while noticing early signs of fall.
Bree offers concrete strategies—deep breathing with longer exhales, open‑mouth sighs, self‑massage, and seasonal activities informed by Ayurveda—to release inner heat and reestablish routine as summer ends.
She urges viewers to notice impatience or anger, pause and breathe, and reminds that each day is an opportunity to start over, reframe relationships, and recommit to routines with gratitude.
Bree advocates adapting rather than resisting darker, cooler days, reflects on a lunar eclipse and the vastness of the universe, and uses that perspective to shrink daily worries and embrace inward time.
She highlights Cadre and other community options, encourages signing up for classes or tutorials, and shares a client's example of starting water aerobics to emphasize companionship going into winter.
Bree summarizes the three core practices—release the heat, begin again, stay adaptable—asks for viewer reflections, and closes with friendly tips (hydrate, smile, eat vegetables) and well wishes.
Hello, cadre. It is Bree from Attaining Alignment, your wellness coach, your yogi, your fitness and nature enthusiast, and coming at you on this lovely Friday to discuss this transition. It's the end of summer. I am very much looking forward to fall. And We are not only shifting energetically, but also our bodies are going through a lot. In the summer, we accumulate a lot of fire and heat and pitta energy. So you may notice that sometimes that can manifest as being, Speak wonder, so good to see you.
Great to see you. On a scale of 1 to 10, rate your summer. Look back. How did summer treat you? How do you feel now? And are you excited for fall? Because I know I'm super stoked for fall. I am ready to cool down. I'm ready to calm down. Pitta energy in the summer is very, very In your face, very, yeah, I'm ready for coffee as well. Very, it can cause like irritability, anger, just like kind of overdoing it, right? Six plus for the summer. Yeah, I would say I'm probably about a seven myself. And I have learned a lot, but I can feel the crisp fall air in the mornings and in the evenings.
I know it's coming. I can smell it. And I have crazy fall allergies. And so it's I know it's here. It's coming. And so I want to give a few examples of how I use this sweet, this lovely time where You know, we're still everyone's trying to fit in their last minute vacations. You're trying to get your kids ready to go to school. You're kind of over not having a great schedule and you want to get back on track to get more routine and momentum in your goals or health routine or eating, whatever it might be.
And there's a way to release heat and it's through deep breathing, open mouth, sighing it out. And also, self-massage. There, we accumulate this heat and it's now the time to kind of try to let it go, try to calm down, calm the mind, right? Pitta energy is so like, go, go, go, go, go, go, go. And We are transitioning to air, so we're moving out of fire into more air mental energy. And so I'm excited because I know I'm going to read more. I always am more motivated to read in the fall. And when we are setting ourselves up to match the season, you can let things go more easily but also you're working with nature and not against it.
And I have really picked up a ton from Ayurveda and my yoga practice to not only eat seasonally but do activities that resonate with the seasonal energy that you're in. And the first part of this transition period is releasing the inner heat. Release irritability, anger, or just this angst, whether, you know, it could be conflict that you're having in a relationship. It could also be that, you know, the world makes you angry, right? So, like, take note of that. We don't need to rage bait or click bait everything and buy into all this stuff.
Like let's control us. So let's release our inner heat through going outside more, touching some grass, doing some deep breaths, having the exhale be longer than the inhale. And just like knowing everything's going to be okay. Because right here, right now, you're okay. Secondly, begin again. You're going to get angry and things will come up or you're going to be like, why aren't people, you're going to get impatient? Why aren't people doing this XYZ? Why is this person so incompetent at their job?
Whatever the example might be, just notice it and breathe. Begin again. We can always start over. We can look at somebody from a new lens. We can start a new routine from a new lens. We can, every day is a chance to start over and express gratitude and learn something from the wisdom that we attained the day before. Always begin again. Finally, staying adaptable. How can we flow with reality rather than resist against it? So people are like, oh my God, fall's coming, it's getting darker. Like, don't fall into that.
You notice it, it's going to happen. We're only human. And How beautiful. We get more darkness to dive inward. We get more time to look at the eclipse. I saw the eclipse last night, the lunar eclipse last night. It was gorgeous. And it just makes you think, then you're looking at the stars and you're like, we literally are so minuscule. It's like we're this baby little salt piece and you realize, Our problems are not that bad, even though it seems like at the time, the mind makes it seem like it's such a big deal.
When in reality, like, it's, we are tiny. We are very small. We can't even travel to another planet. That's how, like, crazy big the universe is. And so, staying adaptable with with how other people are growing, how you're growing and changing and maybe shifting out of an old identity or old habit and realizing that life is always going to change and the seasons are a great reflection of that. So honor this stepping into fall and even if you don't like it or if you're somebody that is affected by seasonal affect disorder, then Cadre is a great place to be.
It's a great place to reach out to somebody. It's a great place to find and recommit to community. Sign up for a class. Sign up for an online video tutorial of something, try to get involved so that we can make these connections going into winter and setting ourselves up for success. And I had a client, she's so excited. She is starting a water aerobics class and I'm super excited for her because we need community, we need companionship. Yes, Cadre is a great place to get that. And hopefully you can find another solution to fill that cup of yours for the fall and into the winter.
So final thoughts here, release the heat, begin again, and stay adaptable as we transition into fall and as we let go of summer. If you have any reflections from summer that you had pop up, I would love to hear it. If you have any wisdom to share with others going into fall, feel free to share. I know we all need all the strategies, especially if you live in the northern part of of the country because it gets really dark, it gets really cold, and we're all in this together as we transition into my favorite season, fall, autumn.
Yay! So have a great rest of your day. We'll catch you next time and speak wonder. Always great to see you. But stay hydrated, smile at strangers, Try to eat some good vegetables and stay calm, stay calm.
