The presenter shares feeling accomplished after getting car maintenance done and lists simple, non-life-changing tasks—like haircuts or taking out the trash—that can provide dopamine hits. This section normalizes small achievements as meaningful.
A short list of micro-actions—listening, considering, breathing, and more—frames how to convert small accomplishments into momentum, and the host closes by inviting viewers to take action. This wraps up with encouragement to do something productive.
Hey everybody, happy, happy Tuesday. It is Tuesday. I'm glad I'm here. I'm glad you're here. I know the things I know and I really, really, really care about you. I had three reallys, so that's 20 words today rather than 17. And hey, I hope you're doing okay. And if you're not doing okay, I still think you're pretty amazing. And I'm still convinced you're going to do some pretty remarkable things today. Your capacity may change, but your worth does not. And something you can do today to be reminded about that, reminded of that, is to do something that makes you feel accomplished.
I just parked my car And before jumping on here, I cleaned up all the garbage that was laying around and I squeezed it into this empty can. And now I'll go recycle this can and the recyclables inside of it. I'm going to sneeze. Nope, not going to sneeze. It feels really good for me to pick up the little trash in my car. I feel accomplished when I do it. Before I parked here, I was getting a recall done on my Jeep and I messaged my partner saying, gosh, I always feel very accomplished any time that I get maintenance done on one of our cars.
Hey, Cole, nice to see you, my friend. I always feel accomplished whenever I get maintenance done on a car. It's like, okay, Check that off and now we get to be on the other side of doing this thing that is innately good. Doing things that make you feel accomplished are really good. And sometimes those things are not life changing. Sometimes it's getting a haircut. Sometimes it's taking out the trash. Sometimes it's cleaning off the kitchen table. And these little things can serve as dopamine hits for you.
You're feeling stressed, you're feeling stuck, or you're feeling low energy. Doing something that makes you feel accomplished, whether that be realigning my ducks in the front of my Jeep here, whether that be jumping into cadre and spending a few minutes going, hey, I'm going to connect with someone here. I'm going to listen. I'm going to consider. I'm going to try. I'm going to stop. I'm going to breathe. These things are innately good because they will lead you to going, ah, I did something. And this feeling of accomplishment sets me up to do something that maybe you needed that little boost in order to do.
That's what I got. I feel accomplished. I jumped into cadre and recorded a cadre today. What are you going to do? Go do it. Bye.
