The presenter notes the day's possibilities, introduces pets and companions, and asks the audience how they're doing to create connection. It reinforces that viewers are capable and worthy as a segue into the main message.
Using running and life-process examples, the host invites viewers to notice incremental gains and to reframe big challenges as many small steps. The repeated phrase 'it all adds up' is offered as an encouraging invitation to recognize progress.
The video wraps up by returning to the song lyrics mentioned at the start, briefly restating the refrain and saying goodbye. It's a concise, familiar close that bookends the message.
Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you got till it's gone. You pay paradise, put up a parking lot. I love that song. I think I always say that, but I do. I like songs. It's part of my thing. And isn't it funny that the tree museum that they talk about, that they charged a dollar and a half to see them? A dollar and a half. I think the tree museum would be a little bit more expensive today. And yet, here we are, doing another day, and incredibly capable and incredibly worthy of accomplishing some pretty remarkable things.
You'll hear, I think that's Franklin out in the hallway chewing on his bone. I got Jeffy down here sitting and chilling with me and Willow's out in the living room soaking up some sunshine. How about you? What are you up to this morning, this afternoon, this evening, whenever it is that you're watching this? Are you getting ready for a long day? Are you wrapping things up and going, it's time to rest? No matter where you are, I hope you're doing great. I'm glad I'm here. I'm glad you are here. I know the things I know and I care about you.
It's the deal. And it all adds up. I think the one thing, if there was one thing that I would say that I've learned and been reminded of doing the marathons, I've done a couple of them, is that when you keep going, each time you look back, you go, wow, I've really gotten somewhere. Sometimes when we're doing the thing, we go, gosh, there's so much left to do. And we look at it as one more big thing versus a lot of little steps, a lot of moments, a lot of keep going. Then all of a sudden we look back and we go, wow, I've gotten someplace.
Whether it be through the week, whether it be up the mountain, or through the hard time, or through the process that doesn't have a great finish line. maybe you're in a grieving process that doesn't have a finish line, or maybe you're in a process of having to say goodbye or letting go, and the end of that process is the last place you want to get to. And yet, you look back and you go, there's so many good moments and so many hard moments and so many well-earned moments that have gotten you to where you are right now.
It all adds up. That's my invitation for you today. to see that it indeed all adds up. Seem to go that you don't know what you got till it's gone. To pay paradise and put up a parking lot. Say it again. Hey, man, name paradise and put up a parking lot. See you tomorrow.
