There's a big difference between winning and not losing. Are you trying to win in life or are you attempting to not lose? Do we actually want to live fully? Or are we okay protecting ourselves from the loss?
Well, hey there. Good morning, Cadre. How are you doing on this Wednesday? I think. I think it's Wednesday. I hope you're doing great. Two days in a row. Coming to you from the automobile on my way to the next thing, just like you are. If you're bopping in right now, this is your. Your in between. This is your opportunity to be in the space that you are in, not the space you were. The space that you're going. Morning, Josh. Nice to see you. My friend. Cole, how are you? It really is a good thing for your mind, your heart, your body, your spirit to go.
You know, I'm gonna be where I am right now, and clicking on the Cadre button is a way to do that. I'm glad that I'm here, junk food junkie. I'm glad that you are here. I know the things that I know and I care about you. Those 17 words always say them with me because that's what makes the Cadre sphere happen. People risking to be with each other, to care about one another, and to share the things that they know and have experienced. From a space of expert, from a space of professionalism, from a space of pureness and personality and personability and personification.
You saying, this is the life I'm living now. I'm going to start with other people. Nice to see you, Emily. There's a big difference between winning and not losing. I was a high school prep tennis coach for a long time, and I would always make the point that sometimes your opponent, you're going to need to beat them in order to win. And other times you could work to not lose. And because you didn't lose, you'd win. Why? Because your opponent would lose. Are you attempting to win in life or are you attempting to not lose?
And that may sound kind of machismo and kind of like. Which is very much not Normally my. O. and my vibe, it's actually the opposite. The people who spend a lot of time trying to not lose are the people who are afraid to appear soft or broken or maybe less than at moments or tired or fatigued. The people who are attempting to win quite often are the ones who are saying, I'm gonna get down and dirty. I'm gonna stumble and struggle. I'm gonna. I'm gonna do the things. I'm gonna actually attempt to give of myself to see what would happen.
That's attempting to win. Attempting to not lose is going, you know, I think I'm probably good enough that I don't have to risk. I don't have to show up, I don't have to be present. We're probably going to not lose if we simply boop boop, boop, boop boop. I'm about to walk into a meeting that I'll facilitate with a very high performing company. And I remember when I walked in about a year ago for the first time, I'm walking into the same room today. And the first thing I said to them was a lot of high performing teams and individuals, they exist in a we're trying to not lose mentality because they haven't experienced a lot of losing and they're afraid of it.
Now again, they experience quite a bit of winning in a not losing mentality. But sooner or later you hit that ceiling, you stop growing. But even scarier, you get to the place where you go, well, why are we doing this? Do we actually want to live fully? Do we actually want to maybe lose in our journey to winning? Or are we okay protecting ourselves from the loss, even though we may never get to where we could get to if we tried? So today I invite you to consider. Are you attempting to win whatever winning is, or are you attempting to just refrain from that feeling of being the loser?
Junk food junkie says another version of not trying to lose is just simply surviving. Yeah, and junk food junkie, simply surviving is really hard. Right. If we get to that place, like, survival is a place where we have to exist sometimes. But in those moments where we can run, where we can put the chips on the table or we can go, what would happen if we learn a lot from losing, y'? All? We learn a lot. As I say, progression is awesome. Rugression is awesome. Stagnance is scary. People who are attempting to not lose often arrive at stagnance and that's where they burrow in.
Make your choice today. They're all good. You can find a lot of opportunities in a lot of different spaces. See what you find. Byeeee.
