Happy New Year. It’s officially 2026. For some people, today feels like a clean slate. For me, it feels more like a transition. Not an ending and a beginning, but a continuation of the same season with a little more perspective. Nothing magically reset overnight. The progress, the routines, the lessons, and the small wins all came with us into today. And that’s not a bad thing. Sometimes growth isn’t about starting over. It’s about continuing with a little more intention and a lot less pressure. Does the new year feel like a fresh start for you, or more like a natural next step? You’re allowed to ease into it.
Do you feel like this is a fresh start for you or more like a transition into what's next? If today doesn't feel like a big reset for you, that's okay. Sometimes the healthiest thing we can do is to step into the new year gently.
Happy New Year, Everybody. It's officially 2026, and I think it's really interesting how much pressure we put on New Year's Day to feel like a hard stop, like yesterday was one life and today we're supposed to wake up to a completely different one. Because for me, it certainly doesn't really work like that. It doesn't feel like a brand new chapter. It feels more like a segue, a transition into the next part of the same season. Because I didn't suddenly download new software overnight. I'm still me, my kid, my kid.
And the routines, the needs, and the progress we made last year, all of that came with us into today. So you know what? I like thinking about it that way because it takes the pressure off of having to reinvent everything and lets me focus on continuing what already works, carrying forward the small wins, adjusting the pace when I need to, and letting growth build instead of forcing it. So if today doesn't feel like a big reset for you, that's okay. Sometimes the healthiest thing we can do is to step into the new year gently.
So here's my question. Do you feel like this is a fresh start for you or more like a transition into what's next?
