  1. 0:02Hello, Sunday. I hope you all are having a lovely Sunday

Hello, Sunday. The countdown has begun for our retreat. I think I will be wearing a hat and a hoodie for every live stream for the next three months. I hope you are having a great Sunday.

  2. 1:08Type one thing you are grateful for today in the Cadre chat

One year ago, one year ago. Type into the chat one thing that you are grateful for today, right here, right now. What do you remember about last January? Type it in the chat if you have something. January is really where we start kind of that new mindset of 2025.

  3. 7:31December is a great time to take screenshots because our bodies crave slowing down

In December, we are invited to speed up at light speed. Our bodies know when it's time to create change. What I do in December is I go back through the screenshots. I have like 1200 screenshots. It's my way in 2025 to capture moments.

  4. 14:37Looking back on the seasons of this year, what story did it tell

The world is built on opposites. Summer, spring, fall, winter, all of them are about change. World around us is always going through a birth, a renewal, a growth. As humans, we mirror the world around us in those transformative moments. And at the end of the day, I get to look back and celebrate.

  5. 18:53Your word for 2025 was illuminate and 2026 has yet to dawn upon you

Your word for 2025 was illuminate and 2026 has yet to dawn upon you. This year was a year of gratitude. Share your story with us. If you're listening on replay, share with me. I'll see you on Monday. We'll talk about leading with authenticity.

Hello, Sunday. Hello, Cadre. I hope you all are having a lovely Sunday. It is cold here in Minnesota. I think I will be wearing a hat and a hoodie for every live stream for the next three months. Just kidding. Well, maybe I'm kidding. I'll try to do less than 70%. Hello, speak. Wonder have here hanging out Z and his cute little self saying hello to everybody. Hello, Jules. The countdown has begun for our retreat. I'll be sending out some emails coming up soon. I hope you are having a great Sunday.

I'm gonna give everybody just a hot second here. But on our Sunday, today, as you are jumping in. Ooh, a monastery retreat. I like this. Beekwonder. As we're jumping in today, my invitation to you is to type into the chat one thing that you are grateful for today, right here, right now. What is one thing that you are grateful for today? And I am going. We're shedding. We're letting go. We have the year of the night formation. In order for us to be able to even arrive in those new spaces, we need to let something go.

So it really is a transformative year that we've been in. Now, if we look back to the beginning of this year, here's my invitation to you. What do you remember about it? What do you remember about last January? Type it in the chat if you have something. Last January, for me, I was. And it's December. I get it. But January is really where we start kind of that new mindset of 2025. So that's why I jumped there. But let's go back to December. December, one year ago, one year ago. What do you remember?

I remember getting ready for the holidays. I remember feeling a lot of overwhelmed, overwhelmed emotions. It was only going to be the second Christmas without my mom and the third without my dad. Oh, first without my mom, second without my dad. And so it's. It's time, right? It's time. We feel a lot of things. I remember preparing to doing all these winter runs outside training for marathons. Because in April and in March of this year, 2025, I ran two big major marathons. So when you look back, there's a lot.

We had different dreams, we had different ideas. Maybe some of those dreams and ideas came true. If we look back, Jules, you were in a different job and you had feelings about that job, you had emotion about that job. And now look at you today. Unbeknownst to you, you created change. You started something new, a new adventure. You came down to Minneapolis. You came to some sound baths. You met us, a few of us in person, Live, Speak, wonder Kathy, you became one of the amazing contributors this last year.

So when we take that pause to look back, look at how differently things were, but also think about how different we were, now, we might not look fundamentally different, or maybe what we woke up and started our day with and ended our day with isn't fundamentally different. But no matter what, we had ideas, we had ideals, we had dreams, we had goals. The world was doing one thing, and maybe it plot twisted and now it's doing something different. Change is literally inevitable. But every single day we show up here at Cadre and every day we wake up investing in ourselves.

It truly is an investment in that. That mindset in our bodies and our. In our lives and our mental health and wellness. Think about a year ago. Were you on Cadre or not on Cadre yet? Did you kind of think, I don't know what this is, I'll just give it a little try. I'll try for a few days and then I'm gonna bounce. But yet you're still here, which is amazing, which means you feel connected, supported, held. You've created space, you've met people, so many different things. When I look back at the beginning, or even December of last year, I still can feel the heaviness that I felt in my heart.

I can still remember the rides that they taught at the studio. I look back on my cameras now. Here's what's really fun. You might not be able to do this right now because we're on Cadre, but I'm gonna give you a couple of invitations. My first invitation is to go back to December of 2024 in your camera, in your photo album and go back and look at the photos that you took in December of 2024 and maybe cheat and look at the photos that you took in January of 2025. What did you look like? What did you wear?

Do you remember the feeling you had when you took those photos? The dreams, the ideas that you had when you took those photos? What were you doing? Who are you with? And now, if you think forward to today, right now, here, this moment in time, what's changed when we go into winter? The transition of seasons, it doesn't matter where you live. There are plenty of states that really kind of only have like 1 ish season where it's sunny all the time, there's no snow or changing of the leaves, and that's okay.

But our bodies know. And when it's time to create change, our bodies know when it's craving that slowing down. It's really interesting in December because we are invited to speed up at light speed. Holiday parties, holiday events, Christmas shopping, wrapping presents, decorating. Whatever holiday you celebrate, there's a speed up, but our bodies are craving slow down. Go within, reset, renew, refresh. If you look back at last December and you go back into your photos and you take glance, you might see how busy you were or happy you were or whatever it was in that moment in time.

And if you start to scroll into January and February and March, you can look at all the beautiful things that you did. So the one beautiful thing about our new phone technology is that it keeps a running record of our history of the things that we thought were important enough to take a photo of. It's funny because on iPhones, if you have one of those, you can go to categories of photos where it tries to put things out there for you. Like, is it a live photo? Was it a burst? Did you take a cinematic video versus a panoramic photo?

But there's one out there that is for screenshots. And I always look at that one because I'll. I'll take screenshots of things that they think are really cool and then I want to come back to them. And then I either forget to go back to them facts or I'll forget to delete it after I've kind of completed it. And so I have like 1200 screenshots. Yeah, I guess as well to that number. It's a lot. But what I do in December is I go back through the screenshots. Now here's what's funny. I would say I have this 1200.

I bet there's 300 of them that are screenshots of songs where I've been somewhere. And I really loved the song song that I was hearing and I wanted to remember that feeling. So I Shazam it. And then I screenshot it. And yeah, Shazam keeps a long running list of all the songs that you should exam so you can look at them later. But I screenshot it because there's something about that moment in time. And also then it reminds me at some point to go out and make a playlist of all the songs that they screenshot and then I can listen to that again.

So it's my way in 2025 to capture moments. And I do that sometimes through music. Sometimes I capture screenshots of inspiration because in that moment I needed something. And it seemed like the universe or Instagram decided I needed that particular quote in my Feed at that particular point time, and I'll go back and I'll read them. And it's funny because some of them, I'm like, ooh, I was having a bad day when I screenshotted that one. And some of them, I'm like, oh, I bet I know somebody that might need that one today.

And then I'll take a photo of Ocean and I'll take a screenshot of that, that quote or whatever that saying is, and I'll it on my Instagram and. And just put it out into the world. So when we look at and reflect back on 2025, we have a running archive. If you're someone like me that does screenshots or takes photos, or maybe there's someone like Kathy speak, wonder that way. It's poetry. So what if you look back over the seasons of this year at the poetry that you wrote, the words that you put on paper and that you shared, what story did it tell?

And how different are your words today versus your words from a year ago. Think about the healing that you've gone through, the joy, the change in friendships, the change in jobs, the releasing of an old version of yourself, an old truth that you would tell yourself all the time. Maybe you find that you had friendships or love or sadness and. And you've captured those moments that way. All of it is beautiful. We can't have light without dark. We can't have fear without love. The universe is built on opposites.

The world is built on opposites. Summer, spring, fall, winter, all of them are about change. Even if you are in California, where my brother and family live, they might not have snow, but they have rainy season. They have flowers that bloom at some times and not at other times. So we are always wherever we are located. World around us is always going through a birth, a renewal, a growth, a sunset, a healing, a silence, a quiet. So as humans, we mirror the world around us in those transformative moments.

So when I look back on 2025, I had laughs, I had tears, I had friendships that came. I had a couple of friendships that went away. And at the end of the day, I get to look back and I get to celebrate. Because no matter what it was, I'm here right now with you, sharing these moments together. And so whatever it is, I get to remember that on any given point in time, on the days that I feel the most alone, I'm not alone. I have a whole world around me. I have a voice that I can choose to share. I can feel an emotion.

If I'm crying, that means I'm feeling. And if I'm not crying, that means I'm holding something back. And then I get to ask why. So as you look back on 2025 and you take a few moments to just look how far you've come, if you write in a journal, go back and read last December. If you wrote something in January, check it out, see if you're almost there. Speak wonder. You put out here that cotter is a blanket fort. You're the launch pad, your tribe. Your word for 2025 was illuminate and 2026 has yet to dawn upon you.

I like to do themes for years. This year was a year of gratitude. I felt like I really needed to explore what that meant because I was in a space of heavy sadness and I know that lightness is always around the corner but sometimes we have to open up the door. So when you look back, celebrate it. Celebrate every step of it. The easy, the hard, the happy, the sad. And just remember that wherever you're at in your journey, there's no right or wrong. But you're here and we got you and we're in it together.

So share your story with us. Share it in the comments. If you're listening on replay, share with me. I always go back and listen again. Whatever your word is for 2026, don't get there yet because we still have a little bit of time in 2025 to keep our words alive, keep our dreams in that space. So for me it's another 20 some days of gratitude. Maybe I'll keep gratitude next year. Maybe I'll flip to illuminate. But whatever it is we choose, we get to be right here, right now, looking back, celebrating so that we can look ahead and plant the seeds.

Hope you all have an amazing day today. I find so much pure joy in spending time with you and when you type it in the chat. So thank you, Jules. Thank you. Speak wonder and anybody listening on replay. And I hope today you find just a little extra space and time for you. I'll see you on Monday. We'll talk about leading with authenticity.
