A strategist plans but a joyful one plans for joy. When did you last feel rested? What are you good at that comes so easy you assume it doesn’t count? Who’s in your corner? Whose rules are you still following? What made you smile today? We’ll tackle these questions with heart and extend an invitation to experiment trying something new and joyful.
The host greets viewers and leads a brief one-word check-in, asking about body and spirit and reminding that all emotions are welcome. It's meant to ground viewers and invite honest reporting of how they're feeling.
She reveals she's nervous because she's pitching a new keynote and book to people who could give feedback and open doors, describing fears of rejection and freezing up. This gives context for her vulnerability and the session's relevance.
She contrasts past tendencies to 'grin and bear it' with her current practice of being open about nerves, talking, and journaling, noting that this made her feel less alone. This offers a concrete shift in coping strategy.
She invites viewers to respond in chat and outlines common myths—needing to handle things alone, fearing that talking magnifies fear, and that vulnerability equals weakness—then labels these beliefs as false. This normalizes fear and reframes vulnerability.
She invites viewers to try sharing a fear with one trusted person to see what happens, offers encouragement, and closes the session with well wishes for the week. This provides a simple actionable next step.
Good morning. I'm coming today live for your med week boost. First, let's do our one word check-in that we've been doing every week with how you're feeling today. There's no right answer or wrong answer. How's your body feeling? How's your spirit? All emotions are welcome and you are welcome. I'm feeling a lot of nerves because I'm doing something for the first time today. You might have noticed, got a suit on, but I am pitching my brand new keynote and book idea to a room full of people that could help me with feedback on the idea and potentially open doors.
to share the idea. And honestly, I am so scared and feeling really, really vulnerable. This is an idea that I'm so proud of, but I'm scared that nobody will either like it, the fear of rejection, fear of like not being good enough, fear that I'm gonna freeze up and forget everything that I like prepped. But I did something different leading up to today than what I've done in the past when I was starting to feel fear. I was open about my nerves to the people closest to me. I talked about, journaled, and really sat with my fear.
And in return, I don't feel alone. In the past, I thought I just had to grin and bear it Drop in the chat if you feel like this. Feeling like I should be able to do this without support. Believing that thinking or maybe talking about my fear will only multiply it or make it worse or go away. Or that by being vulnerable and saying and naming that fear out loud that I was somehow or you were somehow less capable. That is furthest from the truth and it is a lie. So my invitation for you today is to share with just one trusted person something that you are fearful of and see what happens.
See what happens for you. Have a great week.
