Hello, Cadre. Good morning. Happy Wednesday. Craig Thielen here, 1% better mindset. I'm gonna let some people join here and tee up this topic. A lot of times things that happen to us personally are the most meaningful things. And so the topic is around growth. And that growth is not a straight line. And I learned it in a very real way this weekend when I blow up my back. I'm not going to bore you with all the details of how and all of that, but I have a bulging disc and so there are certain things that can.

It's been great for the last two or three years and so I hardly even think of it. I think, you know, my back is just like new and nothing's. Nothing's wrong. And so I overexerted it. And on Sunday I was essentially on my back and couldn't hardly stand, couldn't walk, couldn't breathe, couldn't do anything. Very painful. For those of you that have had back troubles or severe pain, it's very humbling, let's put it that way. But it made me think about a lot of things. And one thing is that when we are all trying to grow, improve, get work done, go, go, go.

There's, there's a line there and sometimes we can do too much and we don't even know it. And what I had a lot of time to just sit and, or not sit, but reflect because I couldn't do anything else. And what I realized is that I had a lot of clues leading up to it, indications that my back was getting tight and there was probably about a week in advance at least, and I just ignored it. And then I did a workout and it got more tight and a small amount of pain and I ignored it. And then I did back to back workouts and, and then it got really.

And whether we do it. Hi there, Craig dealing, 1% better mindset. Welcome Cadre. I just recorded another live stream here. I'm not sure if that one completed or not. So I'm gonna start where I left off with, which is around the idea of growth not being a straight line. And I blew up my back this weekend, so it was a great reminder. And what I realized is that I had a lot of clues and I ignored them that probably could have prevented it from happening. And so it was a very painful reminder to be able to listen, observe and reflect on what was going on in my body, you know, as much as a week and days before it happened.

But it also is a bigger reminder to me that to be more present and to listen, observe, reflect on just everything in life and that you can just learn so much from doing that. It reminded me that sometimes you need to take steps backwards to go forwards again. It's not a straight line. We think we like to plan it that way. We would like to think. I've got a whole journal full of all sorts of improvement and goals and things, and we'll cover some of those techniques later. I think they're very powerful techniques.

But it never goes as we plan. It never goes like this. And even if we plan it to go like this, it never does. Sometimes it's going to go down and then it. We might have a spike and that might go down and that might plateau. So I think that's a great reminder. I think that the less that we observe and pay attention to feedback, whether it be physical feedback of our body or from friends or loved ones or other feedback, the more that we are going to be likely to have taking two steps back or going backwards before we go forward.

So I think that's a skill. It also makes me very grateful and we take things for granted. I took my back for granted. I had three years of just great health, no pain. And so my mentally. My model was, it's great. It's fixed. Well, it wasn't fixed. It's something I always have to be aware of. And so I'm grateful for when I'm not in pain and when I can sit, when I can get in and out of bed, when I can shower, stand, move, breathe, sneeze, all of those things. And there is.
