Good morning, Cadre. Happy Monday. I hope you're off to a great week or will be very soon. This is Craig Thielen with 1% better mindset livestream t North. Welcome. You're the. You get the prize today. You're the first one to join. The first thing I do is I always ask with the 1% better mindset is what did you do in the past week to improve and what are you planning to do this next week? The reason I asked that at the front and the end is I would just want to get the conversation going. And it's amazing when people share their own journeys, their own steps, their own techniques, how that inspires, Inspires everyone who's listening.

It inspires me to hear what people are doing. And that's the name of the game here. So with the 1% better mindset, I've had a chance to speak with so many people. I do a podcast called the one percent better of a Podcast. You should be able to find it in my bio. And I have an opportunity to talk with a lot of people that have some just really inspiring stories. And one of the things that often comes to mind is that's great. I mean, after somebody has accomplished something or gone through something tough, it's always easy to go.

Yeah. But they don't. They're not where I am, or they don't have the obstacles and challenges I have or am having. It's an easy thought process to go through. But in reality, everyone has challenges. Everyone. And many, many of those same folks that had have accomplished great things. Inspiring stories really came from really difficult places. So. So the question is, where do you start? If you want to get on this 1% better journey, where do you start? It's a wonderful question. The first place, and I think perhaps obvious, is starting with purpose.

Starting with what is your purpose? Who are you? Who do you believe you are? Who do you want to become? What is your true authentic purpose? Self, etc. Etc. But what is your purpose and mission in life? Why are you here, so to speak? And there's a lot of great. The good news is we have a plethora of information. Many of the books behind me talk about that. I've just grabbed a few here this morning. There's a great book called Find you'd beat by Ting Ingerbraten, longtime police chief that realized his purpose just before he retired, and now he's living that purpose.

Great book called 4000 Weeks. It's a time management book, but it really helps you understand how finite our Time on this plan is. And what's really important to you, the last lecture, Some of you may have heard of this. It's powerful. It helps you sort of envision those last days and what do you want to show for it, so to speak. And why wouldn't you start acting on that now? Hey, Speak Wonder. Great to see you. Another book I like is called Life the Whole Enchilada. John o', Neill, who also wrote the Paradox of Success.

Great book. And then there's also some books that actually are written or built to help you find your purpose. One is called the Power of Purpose by a gentleman, Mitch Larson, who I have spoken to. And there's also another piece of work website called 100 Year Manifesto. All of these are tools and these are wonderful tools that we can all use to just help us reflect on ourselves, help us understand what's important and really start to direct our life in a certain direction. So if you don't have your purpose, some of you do, some of you know exactly what it is, some of you can state it, you know what your purpose is.

Wonderful anchor to it. Okay, if you don't, which I fall in that category. And so I'm in the process of sort of exploring and I can get into more of that later. Some wonderful resources. The third and last thing I want to mention is to start the journey, you actually don't need perfect clarity on your purpose. The most important thing is to look where you are right now. Reflect upon that. What do you like about where you are right now? What don't you like about it? How close to your true self are you living?

And then start to look to make changes. Going to get up and start acting and taking steps right now in a physical way. I've got my purpose. I love it. Love to have you share it. Speak Wonder. Okay, so I'm going to just start moving and start walking and talk a little bit about purpose. So when you start moving, when you start taking steps, it's incredible how that process can engage your mind and your body and just the act of doing something. Let's say you're in a bad relationship. Let's say you're not enjoying your work.

Let's say you've got substance problem, let's say anything, you have friendship issues or you just not inspired you, whatever the case may be, you want to lose weight, you want to be more healthy, you want to be have a better relationship with your kids, whatever that thing is, just to see.
