If you have breath in your lungs, if you have the movement of your limbs, drop a heart. Enjoy this calming music. Risk taking is allowing yourself to step out of your comfort zone and face challenges. Andi, Max, think about some of the reasons why you haven't acted on that nudge.
Happy Wednesday. If you have breath in your lungs, if you have the movement of your limbs, drop a heart. I just want us to show gratitude by acknowledging that we are alive. Enjoy this calming music.
And I posted earlier in our Cadre feed about learning how to be a risk taker. Sometimes we find ourselves complacent. We need to go outside of our line of comfort to experience something new. Risk taking is allowing yourself to step out of your comfort zone and face challenges.
And so my challenge for you today, I'll give you the challenger in a second. I want us to identify the hindrances so we can see it, name it, and reframe it. Why don't we take risk and what are some of the areas that we do want to take risk in?
What are you feeling the nudge to do? If you can share? Anyone? All of you. Tell me what are some of the things. If you are bold, I won't say if.
Jules: The top few reasons why people do not take risk are fear of failure and limiting beliefs. What will take me to the next level is getting to be with you in person. Andi, Max, think about some of the reasons why you haven't acted on that nudge.
The call of action is to go. Be a risk taker. Start something new. Take the risk. Because complacency limits you. It stifles the abundant life you are called to live. I will see you next Wednesday, 11 o' clock central time.
Foreign. Hello. Hello. Hello. Welcome, welcome. Come on in. Happy Wednesday to you all. Happy Wednesday. Come on in. It is an honor to be with you today. I'm so happy to be with my Cadre family. Come on in. This is a wonderful and blessed day. So come on in. I hope you are enjoying this calming music. Hello. Hello. Nice to see you. I mellow. Hello. Speak wonder. Nice to see you. It is an honor to be with you. This is a glorious day. I am strengthened by the Lord. I hope you are as well. Come on in.
Yes. Thank you for the hearts. I appreciate it. If you are feeling well, if you have breath in your lungs, if you have the movement of your limbs, if you are able to speak, talk, hear, taste, drop heart in the chat, drop a heart. Because this is. We can't overlook the things we're grateful for. We cannot overlook the daily things that we're able to do. So if you can hear me, if you can see me, if you can taste, touch and feel, if you have breath in your lungs, show gratitude by putting a heart. Oh, hello, granddaughter.
I hope you are enjoying this day with your grandma. You are lucky and blessed to be with her today. That is so sweet. Hello, Andi Mack. Welcome. Nice to see you today. Yes. Hello, Anna. Thank you, sweetheart. Thank you for the hearts. Yes. I just want us to show gratitude by acknowledging that we are alive. I want us to show gratitude that we have this space, this sacred steel space in Cadre. It allows us to come together. Awesome. You on vacation. Enjoy. Enjoy it. Andi Mack, I'm happy that you're timing in chiming in on this wonderful day.
Listen, I have my music. I wanted to create an ambiance of stillness. Hello. Hello. Listen, we are grateful today. And I posted earlier in our Cadre feed about learning how to be a risk taker. And I was with a client the other day and we were talking about becoming and one of the words they used was becoming a risk taker. And that did something to me, you know, have you ever been like with a person, they say something and you like, man, that was good. I need to meditate on that, right? About becoming a risk taker.
And then it made me think about my own self. And then I'm like, oh, I want to share this with Cadre, that we ought to be risk takers too, in our own way. Because sometimes we find ourselves complacent. And if you ever found yourself in that comfort zone or in a place of complacency, let me know. Have you ever found yourself in a place of Just doing the mundane and not allowing yourself to evolve into another level because of fear or the unknown. If you've ever been there, let me know in the chat.
And so I was with her and I sat in that and then I just after I call out self reflected and I realized, hey, I can find myself in a place of comfort. I can find myself in a place of not taking risk. But in this day, in this time, we need to take risk. We need to go outside of our line of comfort to experience something new. So just like Andy Mack on vacation with their sister, they took a risk, booked the plane, booked the trip, you spent the money, right? To get out of the comfort zone of their mundane comfort of every day.
So that takes risk. Like risk is not just like those really big things like when people jump out the jump out of the plane. You can be a risk taker on that level. That's cool. But sometimes we have to take risk in our daily lives. Sometimes we have to take risk in our family, in our relationships, in our communities, at work, in practice, if you are a therapist, sometimes we have to take risk with our clients. Sometimes you have to take risk and promote yourself. I'm talking about those everyday risk.
Now if you talking about a big risk like, I don't know, I don't know, swim with the sharks, you gonna take that big risk, I will watch you on tv, okay? But I'm talking about these small everyday risk like networking or speaking up in a meeting or inviting a person over for dinner that you really want to get to know or asking the person out on a date because you really like in, in and want to get to know this person. Maybe it's asking for a mentor, maybe it's, it's launching a program or sharing something new on Cadre, right?
Speak wonder. Risk taking is allowing yourself to stop, to step out of your comfort zone and face challenges and yet still do it. Sit with that everyday risk. Yes. Sometimes we have to accept the fact that when we decide to get outside of our comfort zone, we will face challenges. And I think that's the biggest hindrance. When I think about why people don't take risk, it's that we don't want to feel uncomfortable and we don't want to deal with the, the hardship or challenges that it takes to take big risk.
And so my challenge for you today, I'll give you the challenger in a second, but I have a good challenge for you. Are you ready? I'll give it to you in a moment. Speak one in a moment. It says you are nudging me to. Yes, yes, yes, yes. Listen, I want us to identify the hindrances so we can see it, name it, and reframe it. Okay. I want us to identify, why don't we take risk and what are some of the areas that we do want to take risk in? So. Speaker 1. If you are bold, I won't say if. Since you are being a risk taker and you're feeling the nudge, you and everyone else that's on this timeline with me right now, what are you feeling the nudge to do?
If you can share? If you can share, what are you feeling the nudge to do if you can share? Anyone? All of you. Tell me, what are some of the things. Oh, thank you, sweetheart. I appreciate that. Hello, Jules. Thank you. What are you feeling the nudge to do? So let me tell you, I have some notes here. So the top few reasons why people do not take risk. Fear failure. Number one, we. We don't want to fail. We don't want to lose. But what if you don't? But what if you, like, really do it and you see that you're growing and it's successful and you know, it actually turned out better than what you can imagine.
Another reason we have limiting beliefs. Sometimes we tell ourselves and not even realizing it, I'm too old. I'm not smart enough. I'm not good enough. I don't know enough. It's limiting beliefs, a belief or a reason why you can't do it. Maybe because you're a woman, maybe because you are male, maybe because you have children or don't have children. Maybe you're too early in your career. Maybe you beginning in your career, maybe you're like later in your career. What are the limiting beliefs? Hmm.
This is one of the reasons you have to identify and get to the root so you can like squash them and dismantle those limiting beliefs. So get to the root of those limiting beliefs. Sometimes we avoid risk because of past trauma or failures. Failure, I'm not gonna lie, it does happen. But it's not failure that defeats us. It's how we see the failure. So sometimes, for instance, maybe, you know, if I think about my own life, one of the things that I'll be transparent, one of the things I feel important or nudging in my heart to do is to network more.
I'm comfortable behind the screen. I am comfortable talking to you. I am comfortable speaking in front of the camera. I'm comfortable with that. But what will take me to the next level is getting to be with you in person. It's nudging and talking to you one on one. It's. It's going beyond the screen and chat and really calling you up and saying, hey, speak, Wonder, how you doing today? That will be my risk because I'm comfortable here, right? And so one of you know, I. Because I've experienced rejection before.
I've experienced, you know, people not liking me, people not calling me back. And so I'm like, I won't do that again. Mm. But sometimes we have to override it. Right? And we have to heal and we have to try again. We have to heal and try again. So think about some of the reasons why you haven't done it yet, Jules. Speak, Wonder. Andi, Max, think about it. What are some of the reasons why you haven't acted on that nudge? And so I hear you. You said, yes, speak, wonder. The nun should speak up. And we are not called to complacency.
Nope, nope, nope, nope. Now, you know, here we are, a Christian show, a Christian segment. Jesus wasn't silent. Jesus wasn't. So speak one. I don't know if you are a believer in Christ, but even in his day and time when there were political leaders and people of different denominations, if you will, or groups of people who believe that he was Jesus or who did not believe he was Jesus, he still spoke up even if he knew he's going to experience persecution. So if you feel the nudge, and you know it will benefit or shift or uplift or educate or bring new insight, yay.
You're called. You're called. You're called. And that nudge. Speak, Wonder. We know who it is and what it is, don't we? Yes, we know who it is and what it is. And you're called. You're called. Yes, it is the Holy Spirit. It is that fire. And it's not going to go out. So either you do it now or later, you're called to be obedient. So I say that with love. I say that with all absolute love. So listen, sometimes we can. People, please. Sometimes we can find ourselves not taking risks because we are trying to please others.
We don't want other other to feel bad because of a choice that we're going to make or we don't. We want other people to feel good for us or like us or accept us, but we don't want to disappoint others, right? And we don't want people to disapprove of us. And so we find ourselves people pleasing. But we're called to live beyond that and just to know our worth. I know this is a good topic. This is a good topic. And so this is the call. This is the call of action. Go. That's it. The call of action is to go.
To know that no matter what, if you take the risk and you fly and you soar, great. If you take the risk and it plops and it doesn't land the way you hope it's a land, recover, address it, comfort yourself, right? But you still go. Still go. Go. The call of action is to go. Go. Do it. Experience the struggle, experience the challenge. But still go. Do what you're called to do. Lead how you're called to lead. Speak up the way that you need to speak up. Start something new. Start a new routine. Do it.
Take the risk. Because complacency limits you. It stifles the abundant life you are called to live. So grateful that this is a timely topic. I'm grateful that if it's. If you're called to do something and you know where you feel it, literally in your bones, you are dreaming about it. You are rehearsing it in your mind. It is time. Be a risk taker. Be a risk on the small things and on the big things. If it's a conversation, if it's signing up for a class, if it's, you know, leading a conference or if it's, you know, taking on big, big roles or small roles, saying yes to something or no to something, that can be a risk too.
Saying no when people automatically expect you to say yes, that's a risk. So take the risk. I shared in my Cadre suite as I wrap up a picture of my Fitbit and I took the risk of signing up for half marathon. Now I'm sharing this because when we share, we're held accountable for it, right? And so I took the risk. I signed up, I'm going to do it. I talk about it now every single day because I'm telling myself in my mind and my body, this is what I'm going to do. So this is the challenge for you. To go to talk about it and to be about it.
That's it. Talk about it. Be about it. Okay. Take the risk. You are risk taker. You got it? You can overcome anything. Good, bad or ugly. You can overcome everything. Alright? Be a risk taker. I will see you guys next Wednesday, 11 o' clock central time. We're getting to the root. Even the more on how to be a risk taker. See you next time. Peace out it.
