Hello Kadre. Hello, hello, hello my good people. Come on into the room. Hello, hello, hello. It's so good to see you. So good to be with you. Hello my Kadre family. Happy Wednesday. Isn't this an amazing day? We're almost to the end of the month. We have one more week and we are Almost starting a whole new season. And we did start a new season. Let me just tell you that we did start a new season. So I'll explain that in a second. Hello. Hello. Hello. So I'm happy to see you, Nate. Come on in. I am your friend and coach, Rachel.

I am a Christian based counselor and coach. Hello, my friend. What's up, Dr. Leslie? Nice to see you. Yes, it is time for coffee. It is time for us to get together. So I will text you later so we can get something warm and cozy. What's up, Jen? Hello. Nice to see you. Nice to see you. Come on in. We are talking about safety and today we're talking about safety in your faith. Safety in your faith. That makes me think of something. I'm going to pull it up here. Safety in your faith. Okay, yes, coffee is a must.

Was coffee with us? You know, Hello. Okay, so We're talking about safety this month and my area of focus and specialty is Christianity, faith, Christian-based counseling and coaching. And people come to counseling for various reasons, but lately I've been receiving influx of individuals coming because of their faith and wanting a faith-based counselor. And it's interesting because sometimes people who are walking in the faith experience hurt and then they don't feel safe. And what do we do with that?

When we know that faith and wherever you believe, there's this sense of like this unspoken rule or expectation that faith should be safe and those who are in the faith, those who are in leadership in the faith should be a safe person too. But sometimes people experience church hurt and sometimes they experience pain or hurt while going to church, serving in the church. Maybe they're a leader. And I don't know if this applies to you or not, but I want to reinforce safety in your faith. Because sometimes people can be unsafe, but God is always safe.

And I want to just share some scriptures with you to strengthen you and empower you, to remind you that there is safety in your faith. And sometimes we may interact and encounter people who may make bad decisions or make poor decisions, but God, Jesus, is always safe. and we can find refuge in his word and we can find refuge in him. And I want to remind you of that today. So I want to read to you a scripture, multiple scriptures actually, because when we take time to read the word, something happens and we don't always see it, but we can feel it and we can sense it.

And I want to just remind you that you can find safety. And so remember we like definitions. So the definition of safety means the condition of being protected from unlikely from or unlikely to cause danger, risk or injury. So it is a form of protection from harm. And we can find that in the word of God. So I have a I want to read to you Psalms 91. Psalms 91 and I'm going to go with the new NLT version, the New Living Translation. Again, we find safety, protection in his word. And when we read the word, we don't always see it, but we know it's happening.

It is forming a hedge of protection. And we can find that always in God. Psalms 91 Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord. He alone is my refuge, my place of safety. He is my God and I trust in Him. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly diseases. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. I'm gonna stop here because it's a long verse.

But I encourage you to go back and listen. It is Psalms 91. And in this Psalm, it reminds us that if we are walking with him, if we are talking to him, if we have given our life to him, if we pray to him, if we go seek him in his word, and I'm reading online, okay, or if we have a physical Bible. When we do that, when we go to him and we say, God, you are our refuge, we find a place of safety. Now, I'm not saying we're not going to have trials and tribulations. I'm not going to say that things outside of us may or may not be chaotic, but under him and with him, he covers us.

He gives us strategy. He gives us a way out. He gives us provisions and blessings. He gives us insight and revelation on things on how to handle and manage things that do come up, dangers that we do face, trials and tribulations that we do encounter. But when we allow and declare When we allow ourselves to live in him, when we allow ourselves to trust him and to learn more about him, we do find safety in God. And so we can find safety in our homes. We can find safety. We can find safety. If we're out in the rain, you know, we may rely on an umbrella or we may go to our cars to, you know, so we won't get wet.

But there's this thing that we need covering everywhere we go. We do. We need covering with our ears, with our heart, with our eyes, with our emotions. And God can do that. And so I want to just remind you today that if you are one who is outside, this is a metaphor, but if you're outside and it is stormy and it is rainy and it is heavy and you're drenched, I encourage you to find rescue and safety and an umbrella in God. And how do you do that? I'm glad you asked. You simply pray and you receive him as Lord and Savior and you go learn him.

Like we are not in relationship with people that we don't know. Right? We don't find safety in people that we don't know. We find safety in people that we do know. And the way that we learn him is we study him. And how do we study him? We open the book. We read the scriptures. We ask him what does he mean when he say that he is our armor and protection? We ask questions. We worship. We may go to a Bible study. We may go to a church setting. We may go to a Sunday service. We may ask a friend to do a devotion with us to help us understand him more.

Thanks, sis. But we only find safety in people that we know, that we trust. And sometimes we don't know God. and we don't have a relationship with him and we don't even know where to begin. com and it will open up the Holy Bible for you. Or you can put something in the chat that you say, hey, Rachel, I do want to know more about God. I do want to find safety in my faith. How do I do that? If you say that, I will reach out to you. This is a reminder. This is a reminder that people may fall, people may fail, but God doesn't.

And the Bible says that his arm is long enough to reach you. So if you ever need rescuing, if you ever need comfort, if you ever need strength, if you ever need hope, if you ever need guidance, This is the place to go. He is the one. So I pray that you are blessed today. I pray that you are renewed today. And I pray that you are reminded that your help comes from the Lord. And if there is any need that you have mentally, physically, emotionally, financially, relationally, you can find rescue and guidance in him.

He is more than enough. His word is more than enough. If you need guidance, it's more than enough. I keep looking over here because this is where the scriptures are. So I just want to remind you what he says. I'll skip down to verse 14. The Lord says, I will rescue those who love me I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer. I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation. This is it.

This is the ultimate safety. This is it. This is the ultimate hedge of protection. This is it. He will rescue you. He has your back. He's never left you. He's never forsaken you, and he won't ever leave you. All you have to do is call on him today. This is your reminder. This is your invitation. Psalms 91. Go find your rescue. Peace out. One love. See ya later, Cadre.
