And we are live Cadre. Welcome to Wealth Wisdom Wednesdays. In today's session, today's live is all about investing yourself the best ROI you'll ever make. So when I started off in my financial like financial knowledge journey, gleaning wisdom. Steph T. Welcome to the live. Happy to have you here. Like long, long ago when I started reading rich dad, poor dad, at age 11, on the school bus, going to school, elementary school, it all started from a place of curiosity. It all started from a place of wanting to learn, wanting to do better, wanting to show up.
And from that learning and curiosity, I've always been a really curious person and, and then through that it Molly. Molly Diets. Welcome to the Live. Happy to have you here. It all kind of created this career that I have now where I've been in financial services for seven and a half years. But I've always read about it, I've always looked, searched for it, I've always like seeked it out, wanted to learn about it. So pay attention to that too. Like when we invest in ourselves, we typically invest in ourselves in areas where we're super passionate about.
We have a healthy curiosity. We're always looking to learn about those specific areas. And for myself, those two areas that have always been the same, regardless of whatever career or role or job. I'm in financial, so finance and fitness, so health and wellness. So those two sectors have always been prominent in my life. And because of that, that's why I was able to narrow down one career path right in finance. So that's why investing yourself, what you're passionate about, what you're like, because everyone that's passionate about something is they tend to want to learn more about it, they tend to absorb more about it like really quickly, like really, really a lot more quickly than other people.
So anything that you're super passionate about that you're like jazzed up, like you wake up, you're like, I gotta do that, that's a sign that that's something you're passionate about and you should invest all of your time or the majority of your time in that area. So for myself, it's definitely paid off in the financial services field, although that's not where I want to be forever. I want to move into the fitness, health and wellness field eventually and become my own boss and full time personal trainer.
I'm still going to do the, the financial services field because it pays the bills, it's helped me build my career and I'll use that as the catalyst to help feed the main Field which I want to transition into over the next few years. Now it's going to take some time because my knowledge and expertise is in this area. But when you really, really want to do something and you want it bad enough, it's yours. So just think about that. Whatever it is that you want to accomplish in your life, it takes a lot of energy, takes a lot of enthusiasm and it takes a lot of passion because if you're not passionate about it, you won't be able to sustain it over the long haul.
So that's why, like Warren Buffett says, the best invest, investment we can all make is in ourself. And when he says that, he's speaking to learning, learning as much as we can about what we're passionate about, about. It'll never be, it'll never be a net loss or it'll never be, it'll never be a waste for you to invest in yourself and your education and continuously learning. Because things are changing so rapidly nowadays, and because things are changing so rapidly nowadays, like I, for myself, I feel like I really like to be on the forefront of whatever is coming down the pike.
So something that I do for myself, you, you, you, you all might do this yourself as well. But I, I like to tap into kind of emerging trends because it's, it's, it's relevant in finance and to my field as well, staying on top of that kind of stuff. But a big thing I'm really intrigued by and interested in is AI. And it, it is definitely having an impact on the financial services field. People are always going to need human being advisors and people giving them advice and stuff like that because that, that will never replace, be replaced by AI.
I highly doubt it. Because talking to a computer or an algorithm or a program is not the same as talking to a real, live, real live human being. Right? Totally different. Everyone's still gonna need coaching, advisors, consultants to assist them in their financial journey and their health journey. AI will just be kind of a tool, a resource along the way. So I just want to mention that, I just wanted to say again, best investment you can make is on yourself. It's never let me down, regardless of whether I switch fields or switch jobs or by investing my time and energy into learning new things and learning more.
It's always been helpful. It's always created faster change, like down the road helps like, you know, look at emerging patterns and so a few other things you can do. Key takeaway, investing yourself, regardless of the field that you're in, whether that's continuing ed or prior to pursuing a newer education or brushing up, refining your skills, like new skill acquisition, it's all going to benefit you. So invest in yourself. Yeah, look into emerging trends or for myself, I read an AI newsletter by this guy I found on LinkedIn called Zain Z A I n and he's got a hundred thousand plus subscribers to the newsletter that are in tech or their CEOs or CFOs or people in HR that are wanting to learn about AI.
They want to learn about, excuse me, all of the emerging trends around AI and like how it's impacting businesses or how it's enhancing businesses or businesses being built solely by AI and then with like a handful of founders or startup founders. So I find it really intriguing, really interesting. So, and this is like a two minute read because people's attention span is everyone's smoking busy, right? People got families, people are working full time, people got full time businesses. So it's people's time limited.
So that's why I like it. This is a quick scan. I can just do a quick skim, see anything that's popping out and emerging and changing. So invest in yourself. Sign up for something that's emerging trends. Newsletters, podcasts, audiobooks. Always be learning, always be adding something that you enjoy. But also it kind of like can help you stay ahead and think ahead. And then what would be the third thing? Third thing would be give yourself enough time. So that's something I've been learning to do is like, don't be so hard on yourself.
Give yourself enough time. When you're investing yourself, it's not all going to happen right away. You're not going to like see the patterns or, you know, make changes necessarily right away. It's going to take time and it's going to take patience. So with time and patience, you can create significant change and that significant change will start small and lead to big, big wins for yourself, personally, financially, psychologically, and so on. So hopefully I'll enjoy this live and thank you all for tuning in.
