Hi, Cadre, how are you? Hello. Hello. Hello. Welcome, welcome, welcome. Come on in. I'm gonna play some music, some soft music in the background. How are you feeling today? Happy Wednesday. Excuse me. Hello, new land. How are you today? Happy Wednesday. I'm gonna play some soft music. It's. It's the almost, you know, lunchtime. And if you are like me, I've been up since 5, since 5am and so I want to kind of just slow down and allow this time to be fruitful for us. So thank you for chiming in. Send me a heart so I know that you're with me, you can hear me well.

And in the chat, if you can tell me where you are tuning in from. I'm in Illinois. I'm in. Well, close to St. Louis, Belleville, Illinois. So if you can share where you from. I'm just playing some soaking music. If you are connected to me. Throughout the app last week, I shared how we can soak, how we can slow down and soak and be soft and still for a moment. And even for men, men can learn how to be slow and still. And we have to insert this throughout our day because sometimes our days are really fast, sometimes our days are busy.

And so I just wanted us to slow down today. I have an interesting topic that I wanted to share with you today. Hello. Speak Wonder. I love your name, Speak Wonder. I just got off of a training. I do webinars for organizations and I want to share with you. This is why I was a little late today, because we were having a conversation about compassion. Compassion. And it. I just want to continue this conversation with you. Compassion is a feeling that requires action. Hello, Jules. Compassion is a feeling of caring.

And I want us to think about this word, compassion, and I'm going to charge it to you today to be more compassionate towards yourself and others. So compassion means to care, to see someone in need and react to it. And I want to. I want to know, when was the last time you were compassionate towards someone or even yourself? Compassion, it's that golden rule of treat others how you want to be treated. It is practicing empathy through action. So empathy is having the perspective. It is knowing and perceiving someone else's feelings and thoughts.

When was the last time you were compassionate? When was the last time you perceived someone's thought and then took action to help them write it in the chat, or when you wish someone was compassionate towards you? That's such a great definition. Compassion is overlooking an offense that's deep. That is really deep. Just overlooking in offense yeah, that's so good. I'll share something. I've been telling myself, do not be easily offended lately, and so I wanted to share that with someone. So I think what I'm hearing from you is Speak Wonder.

If I tell myself, don't be easily offended, I am telling myself, be compassionate. That blows my mind. That blows my mind. Speak Wonder. Yeah, no, that's really good. Jules, what do you think? When was the last time you were compassionate or desired someone to be compassionate towards you? Yes. Thank you, speakwander. That's so good, though. I love that compassion's overlooking an offense. So I'm telling myself, be compassionate. That's so good. Hello. Hello. Hello, Tremaine, if I'm seeing that right, Pickering has joined us, and we're talking about compassion.

And Speak Wonder just gave us an amazing definition. Compassion is overlooking an offense, and compassion is caring. Having compassion is taking action. Action. If you see someone in need, and this could be at work, it can be at home, it can be in your community. And I wonder, like, why are people hesitant to be compassionate? Like, we pause, we find ourselves reserved, or we find ourselves telling ourselves, oh, that's not my problem. Or, you know, in our world today, we overlook things when we see people.

You know, it could be a co worker, family member, a friend, a neighbor, and we kind of just tell ourselves, like, that's not our business, or, I'm staying out of that problem. Or I wonder why. Why do we find ourselves reserved instead of taking action as a. As a people? I'm curious. Do you guys have an answer? I think sometimes people are afraid. Speak Wonder says compassion is often given with no words. Simple. It's simply a look or a gentle touch. Yeah. I think people. People are afraid to be compassionate because as a culture or as a body of people, I feel like we train ourselves to, like, not get involved.

Right. I think that's just my opinion. I'm curious to know. Right. And so this practice of being compassionate, it has to be intentional. We. We. It's like following that gut instinct of, like, you say, a smile rub. It could be, you know, if you know someone who has surgery, just calling to check in on them. If you know someone's lost someone or is a caregiver. Right. And so we know that caregiving for anyone can be challenging at times. So if we know that, let's just automatically practice compassion towards that person, because we already know with our perception and empathy that they might need support and love today.

So my charge to all of us today is to be compassionate. The world needs more compassion. Our neighbors, our community, our jobs, our family, our spouses, even in your own home, need more compassion. Overlooking offenses, not taking into heart. Right? It's not many words. It's just simply, I see you, I hear you, or hug, or a touch, a card. It could be a text, a phone call. And so I'm charging you, all those who are on the line, those who watch the replay, practice compassion today. So when I get off this call, I'm calling my aunt.

I am checking on my cousin. Listen, I'm going to. When I leave, I'm going to the gym. I'm going to intentionally smile and say hi to the person at the desk, right? Not just walk by like I don't see him. I think just the practice of acknowledging that people are people, people are human. And when we think about that, and we think about everyone is really trying to do their best. When we think about considering the world and what people may be going through, we can practice compassion. And so I'm charging you today and every day from this day forward, practice compassion.

Caring for another person and doing something about it. When you feel the inkling to call, to pray, to send a text, do it. When you have that random fleeting thought that says, go make dinner for your neighbor, do it. Go buy some coffee for your friend, do it. The world needs more compassion. The world needs more compassion. The world needs you. The world needs more compassion. That is my topic today. Compassion. Go practice it and receive it with a smile. All right, everyone, have an amazing day.

Be blessed, you are loved, you are cared for, you are covered. And I will see you next week. Take care. Bye. Bye.
