Cadre: A morning mindfulness to get your weekend started today. Focus on the type of balance that we don't have control over. A balance that can give us a sense of trust, that we can let go and let be.
Good morning, Cadre, here again with a morning mindfulness to get your weekend started today. As we get started, you know, I want to think about something that often we forget and can be quite, quite a place of, you know, an anchor to all the ways in which we get caught up in this world around us and thrown out of our place of wellness throughout the week. And this idea that really comes to mind this morning is the idea of balance. Imbalances is something that I think is frequently spoken of in a lot of different ways, and there's a lot of different ways of understanding or bringing balance into your life.
But the type of balance I want to focus on here this morning is the type of balance that we don't have control over. A type of balance that can give us a sense of trust, that we can let go and let be. And so, you know, I come from this perspective that everything in life, that our universe is made of, this every action has an equal and opposite reaction. And sometimes those actions are so big and large that the reaction time takes a long time. But this to highlight that, you know, a lot of times we are disappointed in the fact that we don't have control over a lot of the circumstances and people and things in our lives.
And that can be a source of great stress, because quickly our mind can go to all the ways in which we can fix and respond to and manipulate and take over the situation so that everything turns out in the way that I've deemed as okay. But balance, balance says, you know, a necessary part of the things I love in this life are the times that I don't quite understand, the times where everything seems like chaos and everything seems like it's not going my way, the way I envision it to be. And so balance this, this trust that there's a balance to the way in which we engage our world opens up a space for us to be here and now, observing whatever we want to deem as good or bad, as all a necessary part of good and bad, that they create a wholeness to our lives.
And so, as we do that, we can take a minute here this morning and maybe take a deep breath, slow ourselves down, and just notice the different directions we're being pulled, the ways in which we're telling ourselves that things aren't going to be okay, that I need to scramble, and are the ways in which I'm really holding on to things having to be a certain way, feel a certain way, and just notice those things. Notice how tightly we hold on to whatever is there, or how much we resist what might be coming our way and then take this posture, this approach to life of willingness, willingness to encounter the balance that's going to be there either way, the balance that exists no matter what we do to control it.
And like an embrace from what we can't understand, come back to here and now with where we exist, trusting that it's going to be okay. And so that's my encouragement for you here this weekend is rather than force a balance, trust the balance. I'll see you all again next week as we continue this journey of.
