  1. 0:01Nick the poet gives his daily reminder: Follow the joy

Nick's daily reminder is to have fun, to live from joy as much as possible. Sing your own song. Give yourself permission to be bad at something. Wishing you a lot of peace, positivity, and prosperity.

Hey, folks, how you doing? My name's Nick the poet. Welcome to my live stream. Take a walk with Nick. Maybe you want to take a walk around the block or a walk around your kitchen. Or maybe you just want to stay sitting right where you are. Regardless, thank you so much for joining me. I wrote a little bit of new material this morning and combined it with some old material. Have a couple of poems and ideas for you. So without further ado, here. Here we go. If you don't know which way to go today, follow the way of kindness.

It won't lead you astray. It will not lead you astray. Sorry, my notes are getting a little fumbled here. Okay. We are in the season of joy. So when in doubt, follow the joy. It may not lead to clout, but that's not what life is about. If there's a cloud over your head or maybe many expanding across the horizon, don't let it fill you with dread. Reach out to a friend and tell them about the storm. Life is mysterious, serious, curious. Rumi says, trade your cleverness for bewilderment. Peace is our destiny.

Whether it comes in 2023 or 3033 or 4044. Choose peace now and watch it ripple across the pod. Thank you. Yes. Rocking the beard. Thanks for joining Cadre. Sing your own song. It'll take you along and help you know right from wrong. Sing your own song. It will help you know right from wrong. Gratitude is the mother of all virtues, said GK Chesterton many years ago. And I believe it is still true today. GK Chesterton also said, anything worth doing is worth doing badly. Remind yourself of this next time you were inspired to try something new.

Maybe it's singing a song, writing a poem, baking a cake, or coating. Give yourself permission to be bad at something and soon you may feel rad. I can't sing very well, but it feels good to do so. So your daily reminder is to have fun, to live from joy as much as possible. And also remember that there's no need to hurry or worry. If you're like me, you're probably going to hurry and worry anyways. But try to bring yourself back to the present, back to your breath, and just kind of keep on. Keep on walking.

Keep on walking. This is Nick the poet signing off. Wishing you a lot of peace, positivity, and prosperity. While all remembering that we have a lot of work to do, but we could do it together. Okay. Have an awesome day.
