  3. 3:30Joseph Campbell says to follow your bliss within the constraints of your day

Joseph Campbell recommends to follow your bliss. Next up is wake up earlier. Text three people, reach out to them, see how they're doing. Next one is think of yourself as generous. It doesn't necessarily have to be with finances.

  4. 5:14What are your heroic characteristics? Try asking some other people this week

Remember that everybody has a song to sing. Write a one page story of what the hero of your story will do this week and ask some other people. And lastly, is to try easy. Wishing you a lot of peace, positivity and prosperity while remembering.

Hi, folks. How you doing? I'm Nick the poet. Thanks for taking a walk with me today. Maybe you're at home and you want to take a walk around the block. Maybe you want to just stay seated right where you are. Maybe you want to do some jumping jacks. I know when I get some movement in, it always helps me a little bit. You'll notice my voice today is not doing the greatest. I've had a pretty bad cold. Feeling a little bit better. So I've got a pretty quick one for you today. I'm going to start off with a very short poem.

No need to understand so much. The mystery is the answer most of the time. The mystery is the answer most of the time. Excuse my Christopher Walken voice there. So, yeah, I'm always seeking to, you know, try to figure things out, but a lot of times we need to just be comfortable with living within that mystery. You know, we don't need all the answers all the time. Okay, so that's one for you. And I just thought today it'd be fun to throw a bunch of different ideas out at you that you can try out.

If you try out any of these this week, please comment in the chat here in the comment section. So the first one is to just be useful. I think Arnold Schwarzenegger wrote a book about this recently. That's one thing. Be useful in any way that you can. Good job walking. Good job walking. Nothing like a good walk break. And then secondly is to be grateful. Be grateful. Gratitude always changes things around. So just take those few moments to think what you're grateful for. My next one is go for a walk.

So go for a walk always helps reset things. Five connected to that is exercise. Get some exercise in, whether it's that walking, maybe a little bit of weightlifting, a little bit of yoga, you know, I always think it's better even if you only have five minutes, you know, get five minutes exercise, because that's better than nothing. Right. And we just want to keep making that, that forward momentum as much as we can. So the next one is to journal, you know, and same thing. Maybe you only have a few minutes in the morning, just do a little bit of writing, a little bit of journaling is better than nothing.

Absolutely. Spend five minutes of morning doing that and that stacks up over the week. By the end of the week, you're going to have about, I'm not a great mathematician, but seven times seven, you're gonna have almost 50 minutes of writing it. Or wait five times. 735 minutes of direct that as quickly as possible. And if I find myself really in that fearful thinking, I could take a step back, I could do the things above. I can go for a walk. I could do any of these types of things, you know, that could really recentralize me and get me back on track.

And so these are all kind of connected in a way. So the next one is reach for a better thought. Reach for a better thought. Maybe if you're feeling really down, your thought can't be something really happy, but maybe you could reach for one that's a little bit better. And this is really difficult to do, but for me, it helps to take these other actions to kind of help with that reaching for a better thought. So the next one is to have fun. You know, I can tend to get really serious and, oh, my goodness, I need to make this happen.

I need to make that happen. Oh, gosh, how am I going to figure this out, you know? But if I can bring some kind of fun into my day, you know, even if it's for a little bit, that's going to really, really shift things around. And so connected to this is to follow your bliss. So this is from Joseph Campbell, the great author who talks about being the hero of our own stories and that kind of thing. And he really recommends to follow our bliss. Now, maybe you have a job that doesn't feel very blissful, but maybe you're, you know, filling a bunch of spreadsheets out or something you don't like.

But maybe a way to bring some bliss to that is to listen to some awesome music, you know, while you're doing that, while you're, while you're filling out the spreadsheets, turn on some great tunes, you know, and see if you can follow your bliss within the constraints of your day. Next up is wake up earlier. Wake up, you know, ten minutes earlier. Or maybe if you've been waking up super early, you know, sleep in a little bit and give yourself a little bit of a break. I have more than I that I thought I had.

Here next is text three people you haven't talked to in a while. Text three people, reach out to them, see how they're doing. Go outward. You know, going inward is great. We want to do the meditation. We want to do all that. We want to go inward. But sometimes we've got to go outward, you know, we've got to connect, and that could be super helpful. Next one is think of yourself as generous think of yourself as a generous person, you know, and it doesn't necessarily have to be with finances. You could be generous with your time, with your energy.

You could be complimentary, complimentative, one of those. There's a lot of different ways that we can be generous, so give some of that a try. Here's an affirmation for you. This is a wonderful day. I've never seen this one before. And that's the truth. We've never seen, you know, the next moment we're in before. It's a new day. It's a new moment. Remember that everybody has a song to sing. And here's something for you to try this week is to write a one page story of what the hero of your story will do this week and ask some other people.

This is kind of into the art of asking, what are my heroic characteristics? You know, a lot of times people see things in us that we don't see in ourselves. And so it could be good to ask these questions. It's tough. And you can also ask for feedback, too, and sometimes critiques. And that could be difficult but can lead to a lot of growth. And all these things that I'm throwing out to you are just tips. You know, these are certainly not things I do great. They're just ideas for you to try. Hey, welcome.

Speak wonder. Just throwing out some good, some good tips, some actions that you can take in the day. I just mentioned that you could try writing a one page story of what the hero of your own story would do in the next week and then to ask some friends, you know, what your heroic characteristics are. And then I saw this affirmation on social media that I really liked, and it's connected to a lot of what we're talking about. And it says, I am constant creation of who I am. I am constant creation of who I am.

So every moment, right? We're creating who we are. And like I said, I can tend to go a lot into that fear and worry, but I can also create better things in the moment. You know, I have that option, that choice. And lastly, is to try easy, right? We can try hard, which is, which is a great thing to do. But what if you tried and you just took a little bit of an easier approach, you got things done, but you didn't stress out so much. So I'm just going to close with this. Keep on walking, brave soldiers of the night.

Your dream shall loft into flight as you become one with the light. Yes, try easy. Wishing you a lot of peace, positivity and prosperity while remembering. We all have a lot of work to do, but we're going to do it together. Have an awesome day. Bye.
