Hey, good morning, cadre. How are we doing on this, uh, Thursday? I hope you are swell. I'm gonna lean on this wall here. I'm in a convention center. So hallways are long and I'm. I'm taking the opportunity to get some, um, some walking in some meandering in. Before, uh, before I give a little good morning keynote at the brighter. Days, um, grief centers. Um, all things, grief conference. Uh, so this is a conference for people who help support people with grief. If there's any St. Croix, hospice peeps out there today.

Uh, good morning. I just walked past your table. Um, good reminder that we're always in the same space, right? If you open up your phone, we're all right here in the cadre sphere. Um, I'm gonna be talking about something. I call the connection formula. Today, um, the connection formula is X times X minus one, divided by two. That's how many one-on-one connections exist in a room. So let's say there is. Four people in a room. Uh, four X times. X minus one, four minus one, three. 12 divided by two six there's six potential one-on-one.

Connections conversations, um, relationships that exist in a room of four people. There's gonna be 225 people in the room. I'm speaking to in a little bit. Um, which means that there are 25,200 potential one on. One-on-one connections in that room. I love that number. Why? Because that number, uh, represents. Um, the potential for people to find, um, themselves to be a little. Less alone or a little less listened to. Um, uh, and those are really, really great things. Um, so my invitation for you today is when you walk into a room, get out your.

Calculator and figure out how many connections exist. There's 20 people in the room. That'd be 20 times 19 divided by two. There's 4,000 people in the room. That'd be 4,000. Times 3,999 divided by two. Um, if you're riding in your car with your kid. That'd be two. Um, times one. Divided by two. Um, that'd be one. Find those opportunities to connect with people today. Because while I sit in a room of people who. Work in grief. Um, grief can feel lonely. And all of a sudden we acknowledge that there's a collectivity.

Just like there is a cadre. A special group of people that special intention. That brings us into a space that doesn't make us all the same. But for provides us the space where we can all be incredibly different. I'm glad I'm here. I'm glad you are here. I know the things I know, and I care about. You have a good one. Bye.
