Luke greets the audience, shares excitement about attending a play featuring JC, and describes having free time before dinner while introducing the setting of his run around the lakes.
During his run, Luke describes passing a runner and overhearing the runner tell his coach he hopes to run like Luke someday, prompting the host's instant imposter syndrome and reflection.
Luke expands the observation into a broader message that everyone is someone else's dream, listing everyday things people might envy and urging listeners to recognize often-overlooked blessings.
Luke invites viewers to reframe gratitude toward small, foundational blessings, wishes everyone a great week, expresses appreciation for the community, and closes the session.
Well, good morning cadre. It's Luke Wentland. Happy Monday to you and yours. What a fantastic day. What a phenomenal start to our week. Hope everything is going well for you. I had an amazing opportunity yesterday to see JC in his play. JC was running the play the right thing to do. The Joe Mauer story exceptional JC man, you are a gift. I was so great, so great to watch you. It's phenomenal. He was Joe's dad in the play. So it was great to support our fellow Cadre teammates. So thanks everybody for joining.
It's always the best to see all the faces, all the people here in Cadre. I love the time. Me too. Me too speak wonder. Yeah, it's just so always so great to see. This is what I live for on Mondays is to see you all and share and share a story. But so yesterday I got done with the play. The play was wrapped up and I had a little bit of time. I had two and a half hours until we had a dinner with my brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and then my other brother and sister-in-law. We went as a six out to eat to a fancy dinner last night and it was fantastic.
It was fantastic. It was so good. So but one thing that just hit me like a ton of bricks. So when I was running around the lakes, so there's a lake that 3 miles around and another lake that's 3 miles around and another lake that's 3 miles around. You kind of go through all of them and it ends up being like 10 point some miles because there's a little distance between each one of the lakes. Okay? And so he's going through, going through, going through, having a fantastic, fantastic run. And I was at about the second, how about halfway through, and there was an individual who was running and their personal trainer was kind of next to him and he could kind of tell like he was propelling.
And it was really interesting because he looked over when I was running by him and I overheard him and I overheard him say to the individual, like his coach, and he said to her, he goes, someday I hope to be able to go like that. like meaning me, okay? And just so we're all on the same page, my imposter syndrome immediately jumped in because I look at individuals that are running around this lake going like Uber fast and flying fast. I'm like, oh my gosh, like maybe someday I could go like that.
So what I'm trying to tell you is like, think about it like this. You already are the dream of somebody else in any capacity. It could be that you have an apartment. You already are the dream of somebody else that somebody doesn't have an apartment. You could be the dream of somebody else that you have a stable job, that you're going to work every single day and you have a job that pays you weekly the amount of every two weeks you get your salary. You are the dream of somebody else, that you have two parents that are still alive.
You are the dream of somebody else. That you have a son that's healthy, a daughter that's healthy, a granddaughter that's healthy. You are the dream of somebody else. I think sometimes, you know, we look at like ourselves and we have these pity party moments for us for whatever reason. And you know, my major takeaway when I heard that was like, I'm this guy's dream. Like take a step back and think about that. Like this guy that I just ran around on the lake, he's like, someday I wish I could run like that.
And I'm like, run like this? But it just made me really deep reflect and think. So I don't know if you guys know this, but I don't run with music. I don't run with anything. I just have my phone in my hand so I can always check time and stuff like that. So I just try to hear everything, take it all in. And it just really just brought me down this rabbit hole of like, We are already somebody else's dream. Like let that just take a step back and let that sink in. for 1% better. 1% better runs a podcast.
Like somebody out there is dreaming to have a podcast. Somebody out there is dreaming to own and operate a business. Somebody out there is dreaming to have clothes. Somebody else is dreaming to be able to have hair because they've gone through cancer treatments. When you take a moment today, I really want you to take this concept in and to think about your life and to say, what are the little things that I'm super, super grateful for that I kind of let go by the wayside because I feel like they're not enough?
Bed to sleep in, roof over my head, able to take a shower. cup of coffee in the morning that I can afford. You can't see it, but my water up there. I can drink water every morning that I can actually drink it. That my health is well. So I really want you to think about this one today. And I want you to think about this live and how sometimes We almost have to have these grandiose goals and grandiose truths in order to feel grateful. We need to bring it back to reality. Oh yeah, I love this one percent better.
If you have 10 minutes to live, what will you? If you have 10 minutes to live, what will you? I like that question, that's a really good one. So with that, here we are. It's Monday. It's going to be a phenomenal week. I know I'm going to live it up and absolutely have a phenomenal week and I know you will too. So this is my level of gratitude today is to say I'm just so lucky to be able to log in here. 5 of them, that I can log into this community and find joy, find love, find gratitude, find my people, find what's important for me.
When I'm feeling stressed, when I'm feeling anxious, when I'm feeling curious, when I'm feeling not my best, that I can come in and find a group of people that are equally searching for the same thing. And I live for that. So with that, have yourself a wonderful week. Take care. Lift somebody else up and really just remind yourself like that gratitude button sometimes only comes in with deeper, richer thoughts and maybe let it come in with baseline ground zero thoughts. And I think you're going to find your life in a different place today.
So with that, Peace. Peace be with you. Take care and thanks for joining. Bye-bye.
