Luke opens the video with warm greetings, identifies himself, and expresses appreciation for the CADRE community. This brief intro sets a friendly tone for the short motivational message.
Luke describes his daughter's weekend full of activities and explains the three-on-three basketball setup, emphasizing the development he enjoys watching in young athletes. This establishes the anecdote that leads to his main message.
After playing back-to-back games the daughter is exhausted and wants to delay chores, but ultimately puts her laundry away and feels proud. Luke uses this moment to highlight the small win of doing things when you don't feel like it.
Using his daughter's example, Luke encourages leaning in when you lack motivation and relates how he, also tired, completed a 10-mile run. The anecdote shows how a small decision to start can lead to significant progress.
Luke invites viewers to accept whatever they're feeling this week—stressful, hard, easy, or middling—and to still give tasks a try even when motivation is low. This concise pep talk is meant to motivate action and self-compassion.
Luke shows highlights of CADRE's new Minneapolis space, mentioning rooms and future events, then closes with well-wishes for the week and a final farewell. It's a light, community-focused ending to the message.
What's up, everybody? Happy Monday. It's Luke here. Good to see everybody. Thanks for joining in. Again, my name is Luke Wentland. I've been at CADRE since day one. I live for this community. I love what we're doing. It's one of the most beautiful things to see the growth and development of others. So thanks for joining in. Again, my name is Luke Wentland. Alexa, stop. Good to see you all. Hope you all had a dynamic, wonderful weekend. But if you didn't, that's okay too. Just want to share a quick story today about my daughter.
And I think we can all relate to this story. So on Saturday, my daughter had variety of different sports activities, etc. And then on Sunday, she played three on three basketball, and two of her teammates didn't show up, right? So 2 teammates didn't show up, which means so on three on three, it was really like it's like 3 on 3, but you have two other individuals that are like interchangeable. So you're able to always play three people and you're able to get yourself prepared mentally, physically, emotionally, and then get back out there and do all the things right.
So. All right. Only three gals were able to make it. And so when they played three games, so it was back-to-back to back, right? So they played. It was awesome. It was so cool. to see the development of their team. I just love it. I live for it. And my gosh, it's just seeing like my daughter developed from third grade to fourth grade to fifth grade to where they are and the other girls. It's just so, so, so fun to watch. If you have a granddaughter, if you have a daughter, just take note, like watch, watch the development of evolution of these kids.
It's just a beautiful, beautiful thing. But Cole's just walking in right now. Gotta love Mr. Fortman. Well, so we wrapped up and like I said, there was only three girls that were there, so she was very tired. So she was super tired, right? And played game one, game two, game three. We got home and we were home. You know, there's naturally some things that need to be done. And so we have to do our laundry, we have to do the dishes, we have to take care of everything, we have to get everything right.
And she's like, dad, I'm just really tired. Can I do it tomorrow? And I said, honey, I know what's going to end up happening. And the reality is like, you're not going to get to it tomorrow. And she's like, And she was drained, she was tired, she was all of it, but she put all of her laundry away. And when she put all of her laundry away, I said, Honey, how did that feel? And her first response was, I'm tired, I don't wanna do it. And then she goes, I was really proud of myself because I did it when I didn't want to.
And so I think there's a message here for all of us from my beautiful little daughter that's 11 years old, Ada, that sometimes we have to do things we don't want to. Sometimes we have to do the things like we don't have it, whatever it is. It could be the energy, it could be the steam, could be whatever. And when you don't have it, sometimes you're going to be so proud of yourself that you did the thing. So guess what Sweet Luke did? I didn't have it either on Sunday. I didn't have it. And I'm like, I'm going to hop on the treadmill.
I was inspired by her. So I'm like, I'm going to go bang out some miles. I started the movie Gladiator. So I'm 30 minutes in, I'm an hour in. Before you know it, I'm an hour and a half in and I got my 10 miles done in a day I didn't have it at all. Like I didn't have it. So those days that you don't have it, I encourage you to take a step back and say, you know, I'm going to give it a go. I'm going to try. And then you're gonna have this little win and you might put that one shirt away or that one sweatshirt away or those socks away.
And before you know it, you end up and you completely bust through that entire laundry basket. Or you start your first mile on a walk and before you know it, you got one mile down and two miles down and/or a run and you're in your first 5K. So when you don't have it, take a step back and kind of lean in, kind of lean into the opportunity and I think you're going to find that you're going to be so proud of yourself in those moments when you don't have it or are feeling inspired. With that, I leave you with whatever you're feeling, whatever you're feeling today, take it in, live it up, love it up, If it's a stressful week, that's great.
If it's a hard week, that's great. If it's an easy week, that's great. If it's a middle of the road week, that's great. Whatever it is for you, that is totally fine. Enjoy it. Make the most of your week. We will do the same here at CADRE. With that, I'm just going to show you just a little quick view of the new digs. So we just moved downtown Minneapolis and then we moved into our new place here just a little bit ago. So here's officially our home home for the next two years, which feels pretty good.
Hey, what's up, Cole? Good morning, Padre. Alexa, play. So here's the new spot. So there's our little conference room. Alexa, play. And then here's downtown with just some amazing views. Little conference room area. These are the spots that we have touchdowns for our amazing teammates. Here's, you can't go anywhere without the big bean bag. We got a little couch, office one, office two, another little conference room, little sitting area over here. another office, another office, another sitting room, and then we're just kind of figuring out what to ultimately do over here someday.
We'll figure it out. But regardless, it's a great new place. We love it. We're going to have so many cool events here. Maybe sound baths, yoga, you name it. But Yeah, it's a great little spot and we just kind of get the blessing and we're fortunate and lucky enough to call this our home. So you all take care. Have a phenomenal, incredible week. If it doesn't go your way, that's okay. And just remember, if you don't have it, still give it a try. Take care, y'all. Bye bye. Peace.
