Luke Wetland: Happy Thursday to you and yours. Hope you're able to touch somebody's life, make an impact in this world. Showing up with this group, it's what I live for.

  2. 0:37Emily Hansen says showing up can help someone struggling with alcohol or mental health

CNN's John D. Sutter shares a story about a family member struggling with alcohol. He says there will be some times in your life where you don't text, youdon't call, you show up. Each one of us regrets a moment that we didn't show up, Sutter says.

  3. 5:30Sometimes a text is all I can do. Sometimes it's about just showing up and being there

Where a text is all I can do. Sometimes it's about just showing up and being there. And then some other times, like, you've got to find a way, you know, maybe it's calling my mom and dad. All right, so Cadre today.

  4. 5:53Sarah Monahan: How was your experience tonight? 1 out of 10

Sarah Monahan: Did my message hit home? We've been working tirelessly round the clock with the most amazing tech team ever. Did everything just work perfectly here tonight? I hope the answer is a 10. Thank you again for joining and being a part of Cadre.

What up, Cadre? My afternoon Cadre today just got pushed back a little bit to the Cadre at night. Happy Thursday to you and yours. Hope you had a wonderful day. Hope you're able to touch somebody's life, make an impact in this world. That's what it's all about. Good to be here. Good to be seen by y' all again. My name is Luke Wetland. Been here since day one. It's one of the greatest places in the world for me to be part of this community. Showing up with this group, it's what I live for. So thank you for showing, thank you for being here, sending love to you all.

But my message today is about showing up. So there's sometimes in your life where I'm going to share a story. So about 48 hours ago, I got a text message from a cousin, and a cousin indicated that. That there's an individual, my other cousin, that she's 52 years old, she's struggling with alcohol. She sold an organization. She sold the business. And it's been kind of like going off the rails over the last year of finding her purpose. She's been kind of going back and forth from Florida and whatnot, and through, you know, Covid has turned a little bit into, you know, rules, routines, and rituals that have went sideways over, like, the last, like, six years.

Right. So here we are today. Excuse me, 48 hours ago. And the family's saying, like, what do we do? We tried to reach out, right? We tried to reach out here. We tried to reach out here. We're not getting answers. Is there anything you can do to help? Support. And so this is exactly what I told them. So where's she located? Said she's west of the metro. So it's like Minneapolis, Minneapolis St. Paul for us here in Minnesota. It's. It's kind of like central part of the state, Central east. And then.

So this would be about like 30 minutes to 45 minutes outside. And, you know, I swear she's located. She said, you know, this is where it is. And I said, I'll be there tomorrow. They're like, what do you. What do you mean you'll. You'll be there tomorrow? I'm like, I'll be there tomorrow. Let her know I'll be there sometime between 9 and 11 o' clock, and I'll show up and we'll chat. And here we are 24 hours later today. It happened where she's going forward to get help. She's going to go into a residential treatment program, and she's going to get the help she needs.

And it's because, like, you show up. So what I'm going to tell you right now is this. It's not saying everybody in your life is going to be substance abuse or mental health. But I will tell you, there will be some times in your life where you don't text, you don't call, you show up. That's it. You get on a plane, you get in a car, you do whatever it takes and you just drive and you get there and you show up, right? So I'll give you an example. A friend of mine was going through a really tumultuous time in a relationship.

I was living up in Duluth at the time, right? This was some years ago, a couple decades ago, but I was living up in the time. And when this was happening and it was going down, he's like. He was living in metro area again, like think two hours away, two and a half hour drive. And he called at nine at night and he said, you know, this is happening. It's a struggle. We're going through a divorce. All these things are happening. And I'm like, I'll be there in 2 hours, 2 hours and 20 minutes, right?

I will be there. I'll be there with you, you know, wherever you're staying, you know, to be there to support and be a helpful cheerleader, to get you through this part of your life. Why do I say this? I guarantee each one of us, each one of us regrets a moment that we didn't show up. I sure do. I sure do regret one. I'll talk about it some other time, but I regret that moment. I regret that moment. I didn't get in the car. I didn't get in the plane. I didn't get somewhere to go, show up when I should have or when I needed to.

So this is your reminder. This is your reminder today that in the event one of your friends, one of your family, somebody close to you is going through something, is going through something, whatever that something is, sometimes you got to put down the phone and you pick out of. Pick up the car keys and. Or you got to get the plane ticket and you just got to go. And you just go, make it happen. It's worth it. You won't regret it. Okay? Also, there's people in your life that. It was really cool. I was on this call the other day, actually, one of the individuals from Cadre was on here as well.

Her name is Emily, Emily Hansen. And we were on that call. They talked about the 330 to Omaha. These are my 3:30 to Omahas. And I'm gonna steal that forever. It was one of the greatest sayings that I think I've ever heard. Like her and her girlfriends call it, this is my 330@omaha crew. Knowing that my 330omahas would be there for me for no matter what. And what I want to be is I want to be a 330 to Omaha for all the people I love and care about, and I want to be that. I want to show up and I want to do the things.

So my encouragement to you all is check those moments that matter. Check those moments that matter. Remind yourself, like, am I really showing up right now? Am I really showing up? And I get it, like, sometimes I got a bunch of stuff going on too. Work, kids, all of it. Where a text is all I can do. Like, literally and, like, figure, like, that's it. And then some other times, like, you've got to find a way, you know, maybe it's calling my mom and dad. Hey, can you guys come in, watch the kids? I got this thing I got to do.

So try to find a way to be there if you can. All right, so Cadre today. Sometimes it's about just showing up and being there. Second thing I want to ask you guys is this. We've been working tirelessly round the clock with the most amazing tech team ever. And they're going through and fixing any and all bugs that are happening on this platform. Live streams, you name it. How was Your experience tonight? 1 out of 10. How was your experience? 1 out of 10. Give it to me real raw. Did my message hit all that's two is separate, but, like, tech wise, one through ten.

Ten being the best, one being the worst. Did everything just work perfectly here tonight? I hope that. I hope the answer is a 10. Let's go. Oh, my gosh. This Sarah Monahan. I love it. Show up. Presences, microdosing, affinity. Beautiful. Triple B says 13. 1% better says 10. Honest says 10. Emily says 10. I love it. I love it. I love it. Thank you all for sharing. The next question I have for you is, did this message hit home? Was this a message that you can take with you tonight and for your future to say, you know what, the h*** with that phone?

And I'm going to go show up and I'm going to go make that drive over and I'm going to be there. So I hope that's something else. So I'll wait till the numbers come in. Not the numbers. But the messages come in for that. But I really hope that this gave you the opportunity to, like, reflect on those moments and speak. Wonder says it hit home. Good. I love that. 1% better says yes. Hundred awesome. What makes me happy, you all. It's always my goal is live my life that I can share and I could continue to share things that I hope matter and continue to matter for you all.

So thank you for joining. This is always my favorite thing in the world to do is be a part of this community. I love you all very, very much. I'm showing up for my friend's kid tonight. Yes, Sarah, Way to go. Way to show up. Dr. Jessica 10, personal board of directors. Boom, baby. That's what I'm talking about. Ms. Shannon Paul says definitely. Well, thank you guys. You made my night. If there's anything I could do for you. All you gotta do is ever reach out. I'll be here for you. Peace be to you and yours.

And thank you again for joining and being a part of Cadre. We love you all. Bye. Bye.
