Hi everybody. Happy Thursday to you and yours. Hope it's a phenomenal day. I'm here at one of my favorite places in all of Minnesota. It is the Hyderabad Indian food joint. As you can see, it's literally just me and sometimes that's good. And So what what makes me happy? There's the obvious ones in my family and my kids. watching individuals that I know and love and trust and all the things be successful in their lives or whatever that might look like. But what also makes me happy is really little things.
Like I love to come here and get myself my mango lassi. My mango lassi and some specific buttered chicken Indian food with naan. It is so good. and is my favorite. It's one of those things where I actually crave when I don't have it for a while. And what I find is these micro moments, so there's two different types of people in the world, I believe. There's individuals who need these extravagant, huge things to be happy. Like I gotta get a new vehicle. I have to go on that trip. I have to get a new job.
I gotta get a new promotion. I have to make more money. I have to, I have to, I have to. Like if I have this, then I'll be happy. And then there's other people in this world that are so happy and they do it by finding these little moments of joy every day. One of the things that I love to do and what makes me happy is filling my water up before bed at night. One thing that I know that makes me happy is at least one or two times, I'm gonna go eat at this Indian food joint downtown Minneapolis. It makes me happy.
One thing I'm gonna do is I'm gonna see at Caffeine, which is a coffee joint that's really close by here, I'm gonna go have a cup of coffee there. and it's gonna make me so happy. I'm going to text a friend, it's going to make me happy. I'm going to follow up with my wife on a date this weekend, that's going to make me happy. So it's like, how can you accelerate all of these moments of joy and happiness? I'm gonna wear something that makes me comfortable, which is gonna make me happy. How can you find all of these moments in a day, a week, a month that make you happy?
that make you happy consistently? What does that look like for you? And what's more is like, how can you find joy when things just maybe aren't going well, that you're happy anyhow? And I know that term happy is relative, but I think you know what I mean. And seeing my son with friends last night made me really happy. Seeing my daughter and catch basketballs with her made me happy. Looking at the smile on my daughter's face when she went through and she went to the orthodontist yesterday and figuring out braces and what it looks like.
Bringing my son to the orthodontist this morning and telling and having them say to us like he only has two more months of braces and he's done. Like these things should make us happy. They should make us fulfilled. They should make us want to wake up in the morning and feel good. Micro moments. Do you have them? Are you listening to them? Are you feeding them? Or are you just waiting for that big, big vacation coming up on spring break? And that's the only way you're going to be happy. Think about it.
Have an amazing day, everybody.
