Hello, Cadre team. Hello. Hello, hello. It is your. Your Friday wellness coach here. Bri, if I have not seen you in here before, I am a wellness coach, alignment coach, women's yogi and personal trainer. And I'm so excited to hop on here today to talk about one of. Hi Mathy. To talk about one of my favorite. Hey Andi Mack. Topics regarding like life. Hey, speak wonder is as many of you know. Hey, Cafe Marissa and Michelle. We got everybody here today. Hey Michelle. So good to see you. As you as some of you may know or and if you don't know, health is my area of expertise.

I studied kinesiology. I do all the personal training, yoga, pretty much all the activities at the gym. I'm a swimmer, I'm a triathlete. I love regarding time and before I get into those three things, the biggest preface I want to make is that we're not trying to hack time like we have. There's all these biohacks and health biohack things that we are trying to get the most Spain for our buck. No, I want you to enjoy the time you have here on Earth. This very precious short time we get maybe 80 to 100 years on this planet.

5, I think billion years. Like we are a snapshot in time and a little pebble on the space of Earth. So let's embrace the little time we have. And that is my goal today is for us to reflect on this time that we have and how we're using it so that we can be in harmony with how we're living our. It goes quick. Right? So we, we have to embrace the moments we have. And so the first thing I want to look at is our, our time wasters. It's not fun to waste time. Is there anything in particular you waste your time on that you'd love to maybe start shifting some of that time to something else?

If so, we'd love to hear it in the chat. Mine is like I've definitely been on my phone a lot more since all this stuff happening in. Yes. Scrolling. Yep, I hear you. Rachel. Oh, hey, Rachel. I didn't see you pop in. So good to see you. Yeah. Scrolling. This past three weeks, I feel like I've been on my phone more than I possibly should just because of all this. You know, you kind of. You kind of get sucked into it. But yay, tell your granddaughter I give her hearts back. So that's definitely mine.

But there's also just overthinking complaining, when we should be, like, embracing the conversations with people we love. There could be. I wrote some things down here, but I can't remember, like, but not allowing ourselves to be bored. That's a big one. Because being bored actually isn't a time waster. It helps us become more creative. It helps us become more aligned with the present moment. It helps us to kind of settle down in this, like, go, go, go. Hey, Luke. So good to. In this. Go, go, go.

Like, vibe and energy we have. And like, yeah, it's great to be ambitious. Let's. Let's roll. Let's do it. But being bored is like this reset that. It's. To me, it's not a time waster. And I, a great mentor, told me that, like, allow yourself to be bored. Just like at the gym. When you're at the gym, you hit it hard for a. But you gotta rest. You gotta add recovery into your routine. You have to take even a week off sometimes. And you know what happens every time? An athlete or a client of mine has taken a whole week off.

And then they come back, they're. They're performing higher weights, they're getting better times because they actually let their tissues, like, rest and they let their nervous system chill and like, absorb. And so recovery is, Is. Is crucial. So being bored is. Is never, never a bad thing. So I would not consider that a time waster. But yes, Rachel, I agree. Scrolling is the time waster. I have. I even purchased the brick to help me, like, be more better about scrolling because the apps just weren't cutting it for me.

So that's. That's Time Wasters then Time Savers. Sometimes I feel like we don't talk about. Oh, here we go. Whoa, A bunch of comments just came in. I'm sorry I missed them. Here we go. Cadre Community helps me avoid going into downwards. Yes. I love the Cadre feed. I always go to that when I'm like, okay, I've been on. On the gram too much. Rachel says this topic is, my niece turned four last week and that that leap hit me hard. I can't imagine what it did to her mom. Actually. Yeah, I want to talk about that in Time Savers.

That is one of my examples of time Savers is embracing our kids and how we. Well, we'll get to that in a second. Luke J. Keeps telling me, 30 minutes on the couch, no TV, no phone, just you. Your thoughts. It's glorious. Yes, I. I couldn't agree more. I love, like, when we were kids, don't you remember just like laying on your bed and just looking at the ceiling and like thinking and wondering and dreaming and daydreaming. It was just something that was very peaceful. We are in the moment really, but we are in the moment with ourselves.

And I feel like as adults, because we have so many responsibilities, it's like we just don't take that time, you know, And I. So I love that. Just sitting on the couch, doing nothing. Like, to me, that is a time saver. No, Rachel, you're not throwing people off. No, I want. I'm gonna back to that. You know, you. You all know I like to do things in threes. It's just a marketing thing. People remember thing in threes more often. So that's coming up. I'm gonna go back to your comment. I promise. So, time savers.

Yeah, let your. Let yourself be bored and disciplined. Like, there's the meal prepping, preparing your outfit for day or looking at your schedule for the next day so you can see kind of where you can cut and fit things in. Like Julie Andrews says, like, discipline is this. This ritual that allows me to be free and fly. And I just love that because we think it's this hard thing we have to do, but it really is just this way to set ourselves up for success and have like, a smoother living day. Cloud gazing.

I love that Cl Couple years ago was such a great way to notice Kio gazing. I'm unfamiliar with that. Please tell me. I'm very curious. So, yeah, time. Time savers. Do you guys have any other time savers that I'm probably missing? Would love to hear more options and that way everybody is aware of them. But yeah, for me, it's a lot of, like, meal prepping. My philosophy is what can my future self do to make or what can my now self do to make my future self happy? So if something takes five minutes, I try to just do it right then and there because I.

I don't want to add it to a list and then burden my future self. So I try to keep that in mind so that I am saving myself time in. In my next day or my next week so that I can be, I hate to say productive, but yeah, I. We all work like we have to. We. We have obligations and things we have to do. So it's something we have to do then. Final time wasters, Time savers. The last one is our aha moments, our time standing still moments, and arguably the best one as to what makes life worth living. And Rachel, now I'll Go back to your comment of seeing your kid age.

Seeing your kid do like walk for the first time or go to graduate high school or get a goal or make a really good play or be in the spelling bee, whatever. It is like those moments, you're just like, oh my God, my kid and I don't have kids, but like my dogs give me some of that. So. And I someday hope too. But they, those moments are just like, they fill you up and it doesn't always have to be related to some somebody else. It could just be nature. Like driving into the most beautiful sunset and you have amazing song on and it just like strikes this, this soul feeling that you're like, oh my goodness, this life is so beautiful.

So I. Those are obviously not as hard to come by when we live in a busy, kind of stressful chaot world. However, we can seek that out more and when we realize what drains us and what fuels us. Like forest bathing. Yes. Speak wonder. We've talked about this before. Forest bathing fills my soul. I love it. I always come inside after feeling like a million bucks or at least like 20% better. And when we can work on those like energy givers and time givers versus time drainers and energy drainers, we can like do what I'm doing right now.

We can exhale. So let's all just take a big, big breath in. But more importantly, more importantly, let's focus on the exhale. Like that is those aha. Moments that are just beautiful and allow us to see that like, wow, time does go by fast. It really does. Like, that's all we have. And again, we're not hacking time. We're not trying to like hack time or try to like stay young forever or like what have you. Just trying to be in touch with reality and with life as it is. And like the. The more that I calm and work on meditating and being present in the moment, the more that life reveals itself and it shows you this duality of it's really hard, it's really terrible.

Life can't always be a perfect sunset that is beautiful and gorgeous, but you can see the dance and honor the dance and play with it and show up more authentically when you are living in the moment in this clear, beautiful way. And honoring your timeline, your journey on this timeline is the best way to reach more of that state. Right? Focusing on the 20% better is extremely helpful. It's easy to expect huge changes, but not always likely or possible. Total. Yeah, totally. Like, life is hard. Life is really tough.

But Rachel, to your point, we can take that energy and work on ourselves to be 20% better. So that way if somebody is having like a terrible day or they're tragedy happening in the world, we are well enough to show up for people. And that is why I'm so into being healthy and working on myself so that I can be there for my family, be there for my community and be there like, be an open heart and open ear for friends who need it, you know, and yeah, even 1% better. And Chad had a post, I think it was yesterday or today, about how time goes by so fast.

He. He is a parent with dementia. And so it's just you never know when you're gonna get hit with something tragic like that or something just really hard and murky to navigate. And that's why where we put our time and energy matters so, so much, not only for us, but to the people that we love and want to surround ourselves with. And I hope that you take some inventory on your energy savers, your energy takers and aha. Moments of wow, okay, where can I shift some of my time so that I can be living this beautiful life I am entitled to rather than taking, you know, more of easy approach and just kind of scrolling through or wasting or being negative or whatever.

It's. It's a conundrum we'll have till the end of time. But as long as we're working on that 1% to 5% better, I. I think, I think we'll all get. Get there together and we can help each other in that process. So I appreciate you all hopping on today. We had a great group and there are so many hearts and love. So thank you for that. Will be excited to see you all next week, but if you. Everyone's cold right now. I think that the whole nation is very cold. So I hope you're staying warm. I personally leave a blanket on.

It is. It is freezing here in, in Minneapolis. So send some love to your community and thank you so much, Cadre and the community. We really hope to continue to build this and so always open to feed, feedback or questions or comments. We're all in this together, so hope you enjoy the time you have on this beautiful Friday. And I am excited to see you again. So have a lovely day, drink some water, maybe some tea, stay hydrated, give a note to a friend. Love y'. All.
