Hi, Cadre sphere. Good afternoon. Welcome. Come on in, get settled. If you have your lunch, that's great. I just finished mine. Good to be here with you all. Welcome, welcome. Christy Larson here. For those of you that have been with me before, I appreciate you stopping back in and saying hi. I have nothing but the best things to say about this community and the people inside of it. So. Hello. Speak, Wonder. Good to see you. How are things in Erie? We've got a blast of cold here in Minnesota. Hi, Shannon.

It just. It hit us hard today. We've had some really lovely, almost spring like weather. And now here in Minnesota, we've got cold wind and cold air, and so that's okay, right? It's winter where we expected here in Minnesota. It's just always a shock when it. When you've got a couple days of 40 plus, and then all of a sudden it's, you know, in the negatives with the wind chills. So. Welcome, everybody. Thanks for coming. It's 12:30 on a Wednesday. Here we are again. It's amazing how fast the weeks go, and all of a sudden we're right back to a Wednesday.

So I'm excited to be here, excited to see all of you. Last week, I actually, towards the end of my live livestream, asked people to just pause, take over the next week, which was the last week, to pause and reflect on some things that were happening. And there's been a lot going on here in Minnesota, and there's a lot of emotion and there's a lot of anger and fear and, I mean, name the emotion. We likely have had it over the past week. But I always encourage people in times that are hard, in times that are great, to really pause and think about not only the things you're grateful for, but your emotions, what you're experiencing, where you feel it.

Right. Because it's different for all of us. And it's okay to feel the way that you feel. So I. Yeah, okay. It's raining and eerie. Yes. Lake effects. Snow. Yeah, we're gonna get a little snow, too. It sounds like. So we're in the same boat. Speak, Wonder. But if you took some time to pause and reflect, what did you discover? Right. What are some of the things that you found in that moment? Whether it was a minute, whether it was a second, whether it was five minutes, whatever it might have been.

But I have been practicing that frequently of trying to take moments throughout my day where I really pause and think about what I'm experiencing, think about my emotions, look around, think about the things that I'm grateful for. Think about the things that are happening in the world. Maybe throw prayers up to folks or whatever it is that you do. But I have been really trying to practice that more and more. And so let's just take a moment right now and let's just kind of ground ourself in that.

And one of the things that many of you may have experienced before is kind of this 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Where you. Where you think about some things that are. That you see, that you smell, that you hear, that you taste. We're going to shorten that today just a little bit. But what are some of the things? What are three things? If you look around, what are three things that you. That you see right now? I see some really colorful posters. I see some seashells that I have sitting here. I see a great big hug heart sitting here.

What do you see present right now in this moment? What are two things that you can touch? Right. I can touch this pen. I can touch this business card holder. And then what's one thing you smell? For me, it's this lavender and pine candle. Even though it's not lit, I can still smell it. So now that we're here. Rainfall out the window. Yes. Now that we're here and we're grounded and we're present in this moment, we're all here together. Right? Let's think about some of the things we're grateful for right now.

I'm grateful for the bright sun coming through my window. I'm grateful for the cold water in my water bottle. I'm grateful for my chapstick. I'm grateful to hear the wind. I can hear the wind whipping outside. Grateful not to be out in it. I'm grateful for the color, the bright on my posters. What are some things you're grateful for right now? And it could be around you. It could be something you experienced today. I got to water a plant and watch it pop right back up today. I'm grateful for that.

Yes. Fake wonder. The smell of a baby. Just a baby in general, but yes. Depending on what's happening with that baby. But yeah, you can smell the top of a baby's head with those grandbabies running around. Yeah. The color yellow. I love that. I love that. Yeah. I mean, I got a nice cozy sweatshirt on that I'm grateful for. Right. I'm grateful for the heat that's coming out of my furnace right on my feet. I'm grateful that I get to wear socks. Right. There's lots of just little things we can be grateful for every single day.

And no matter what's happening in our worlds, if we just pause and take a moment and think about those things, that maybe in that one moment, that one second, that five seconds, that one minute and pause and look around and think, what am I thankful for in my surroundings right now? And that can make all the difference. If you're a journaler, write it down, right? They have those great gratitude journals. Take it, write it on a piece of paper. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, but think about the things that you're grateful for in the moments that you have.

I encourage you to do that as much as you can. I know it's not always easy. I am practicing every single day. I'm practicing being more present in conversations that I have, right? Really thinking about the distractions that you have, whether it's a ping from a co worker coming through or it's a text message or the dogs are barking next door or the UPS man is dropping a package off or the garbage trucks are going by, but really trying to be actively engaged in that conversation. That's something I'm practicing every single time I have a conversation and really thinking about, am I actively engaged?

Am I actively listening to this person? And if I am, I can ask wonderful open ended questions back. And then we both feel valued, we both feel respected. So think about some of those things as you're going through. I know I talk a lot about pausing, I talk a lot about reflecting, I talk a lot about gratitude. I think it's so important to have those things in our lives and I encourage you to find them in every nook and cranny that you can throughout your day. So take care, Cadre sphere. Be well and thank you for being you.

Have a great Wednesday everybody. See ya.
