  1. 0:00Today I want to talk to you about the power of hope

Today I want to talk to you about the power of hope. Most recently, I have a best friend whose only daughter was in a terrible car accident. I kept it alive by praying and visualizing her in a healthy well state. When we walk in the spirit of hope, it spreads naturally to others.

  2. 2:46Anne Frank says where there is hope, there's life

I want to share a quote by Anne Frank. It says, where there is hope, there's life. Hope is powerful. And we all have the spirit of hope deep within us. It's up to us to dig deep, to find it, and to practice walking in it every day.

Today I want to talk to you about the power of hope. And over the last several years, I have many lessons that have taught me more about this, and I just want to dig in a little deeper about the power that hope has in our lives. So, like you, I have had struggles. I have had crisis in my marriage. I have had personal worry over the well being of my siblings and close family members. Most recently, I have a best friend whose only daughter was in a terrible car accident and was in a vegetative state for six weeks.

And it was easy to lose hope during that time. But I mustered it with everything that I had and I kept it alive by praying and visualizing her in a healthy well state. And I can say, and can just share with you, thankfully, that she is recovering several months later still. But she survived. And I felt the power of hope. And I even took some of the hope that my best friend had because she refused to see her daughter anything but restored and recovered. And so I saw the power of it just recently and is still strong on my spirit.

And that's what I do when I have these times of almost giving up or almost feeling hopeless, I turn to what works for me. For me, it's prayer. For me, it's visualizing, getting that image and picture in my mind and holding on to that. I can't tell you how many times I've gone to church and heard a message a certain way, or read something in a book or heard something in a conversation, and it just instantly seemed to make everything better, put things in perspective, and just feel my hope tank and get me refreshed again in that hope.

And I think that's what we all have to do, is constantly be on the lookout for refreshing and restoring and renewing our hope. Because there is power in hope. When we do these things, we're resisting any negative or pessimistic attitudes, and we're adopting a spirit of trust and optimism and positivity and hope. And this is how we walk. And the thing about walking in the spirit of hope is that it radiates. It's never just for ourselves. So if you are a parent or not, it doesn't matter, because we're always around others.

When we walk in the spirit of hope, it spreads naturally without any effort on our part to others. And that's a beautiful, powerful thing that the world just needs more of. I want to share a quote by Anne Frank. It says, where there is hope, there's life. It fills us with courage and makes us strong again. And that's what? I just want to leave you with that. Hope is powerful. And we all have the spirit of hope deep within us, even if it's a little harder to access or pull out. It is there. And it's up to us to dig deep, to find it, and to practice walking in it every day.
