Have participants list: • 3 small wins from the week • 1 small action they can take tomorrow that aligns with who they want to become
Luke, Anya, welcome to Live. Our monthly theme for December, reflection, renewal. How's your fast going? I want us to try and tag team that and try out that zero app. Renewal and reflection. How things go, things we can change.
Lukewarm: The theme of this live is tiny changes, big shifts. Let us know three small wins from the week that really stuck with you. One thing you want to change for 2026 is sometimes I overthink things.
Honor: To communicate clearly and honestly with myself and others what you're talking about, I think it needs to be a part of mine before I communicate. Meditating helps you figure out how you want to communicate to others before maybe some events occur. That was the thing I want to change for 2026.
It's a potential opportunity. I could get back in the bank. Higher pay, maybe more flexibility being in a managerial role. Letting things flow, not forcing things as much. Third win of the week. All the amazing trips that me and my wife have planned.
CNN's Jarrett Bellini shares three things he's proud of this week. Planning the week ahead is always a good strategy. His sister and he have been doing yoga at the local studio every other day. Happy holidays to you.
Alex Meer of the Mindset helps you flex your mind, body and soul. Check out his YouTube channel as well at mind m I n d CEP mindset. Started doing two weekly lives on there today. Have an awesome rest your Sunday.
And we're live Cadre. I'm back. I know I'm a little bit late for this live 6:30pm Pacific versus 6:00pm Pacific, but me and my wife were actually just getting back from checking out the Xmas lights around the block. Around the block and in our city and super cool, getting festive for the holidays. We were plugged into our Spotify playlist for Xmas music and just going around the blocks, checking out all the Christmas lights. People are doing an amazing job and we're not even in mid December yet getting up their lights.
They've got like lights hooked up to the phone or something like that. Anya, welcome to Live. Thanks for tuning in. And tonight's live is all about because our monthly theme for December, reflection, renewal. Luke, welcome to Live. Thanks for tuning in. How's your fast going? I know you mentioned you broke your fast, but next time you do a fast, I want us to try and tag team that and try out that zero app. I love that app. Dr. Peter Attia, he's big onto fasting and it's a fasting timer on your phone.
You just plug it in and you can. Hey, Anya, that's awesome. Renewal and reflection. A lot of people are thinking about a lot of people who are thinking about in the next year. A lot of things are, A lot of people are thinking about just like January till now till December 2025. So how things go, things we can change. So let's start off with. So the theme of this live is tiny changes, big shifts. The reason I love this is because a lot of the times we, when we look back at the course of our year, we're like, oh, I didn't really have any big things happen.
Well, big things happen from small things. And I love just Jeff Bezos's quote. He's always like, says this quote and it always resonated with me really well. And he's like, big things start small. In order to get to the big things, we have to do the small things really, really well. And if we're continually doing the small things throughout the year, really, really well, like Luke said in his last post. And I want to reiterate for this, for this Live tonight, talking about three small wins from the week that really stuck with you.
Let me know in the chat if you're still tuned into this live. Three small wins from your week that you did well at, that you're proud of. Could be anything, could be helping someone, could be showing up. You're at a hundred percent. Mentally, you're 100 present for your spouse, your partner, your friend you were there for someone in a time of need. Let me know in the chat what those three things were for you. I'll start off if you have. I'll give you guys a minute to write in the chat. If you're tuned in for those three things from the week that you're proud of and then the last piece.
One thing you want to change going into 2026. Now, I'll do mine in reverse, but I'll give you guys the opportunity to. To chime into the chat if you want first, But we'll give it another second. Anyone that wants to chime into three things that they're proud of, one thing they want to change for the new year, do one more minute and I'll kind of tell you guys my. My thought for myself. I can. I can volunteer myself first. Okay, I'll go first. One thing I want to. Want to change is sometimes I overthink things.
So one thing I want to change for 2026 is sometimes I overthink things before they've happened. So if you're. If you're that person that, like, I was talking to my wife about it today because there was an amazing opportunity. Well, it could be an opportunity. I don't know if it's an opportunity yet, but there's an opportunity for me to become a. Basically not an assistant branch manager for a bank that I used to work for, but it's called a manager of financial advice. And because of my background in finance, like, I have enough.
Yeah. Overthinker. Yeah. Because I'm in. A lot of us have that challenge on, and it's nothing to be ashamed of. It means you're thinking things through. It means you're. You're maybe a little obsessive, maybe a little fixated on things, but for good reason, because you want to do well. It stems from fear, maybe, of looking bad or not being prepared. But, yeah, totally exciting news. So I may have an opportunity to become a manager of financial advice for a bank I used to work for. And the pay is a lot better, and I'd be managing people.
And I love. I love people. I love figuring out what people like, what people don't like. Get to know people, build relationships. That's my favorite part of any work environment that I've ever been in. Building relationships, number one. So I might have that opportunity. Who knows? It's an old connection I used to work with when I was at this bank. And he's. He's really high up he, he manages six, six offices, six branches. And he wants me to be this kind of the, the manager of financial advice.
I'd be kind of managing the financial service reps or financial advisors, like I don't know how many they have in the branch. But because I used to do that role, I understand that role. So I'd be able to relate to them pretty well. And it'd be in a. It'd definitely be better than the role that I'm in now. Just because the way things have gone, I don't see future growth prospects with the role that I'm in now. So great opportunity. So. But going back to the overthinking, I was overthinking this. I don't even have an interview or anything like that.
It was just a conversation with my old colleague who's high up in this bank. And I was like, I was like spinning mentally. I was like, oh my God, like we have all this vacation already pre planned and if I get an interview and I get the job, like, you know it's not gonna work because if they say no, that they won't honor my, my pre planned vacation with me and my wife and then family, blah, blah, blah. So I was like going in this mental rabbit hole, right? So that's something I want to change for 2026.
Nothing's even happened. I don't even have an interview yet. And I, and I went in, in my head thinking that, oh, what if, what if, what if, what if? Well, not very helpful, right? Because nothing's occurred yet, nothing's happened yet, don't have the job, don't even have an interview yet. But it did fall phone back my colleague, I was like, hey, totally interested in the role, would love to do it. Let's end up in an interview. Let me know your email and send my resume to click because he's a busy guy, he's got three kids.
So left him messages today, so that's done. And then I just to get out of that mental. Anytime we're in a mental funk or we're getting into that monkey mind or head spinning, overthinking exercise, me and my wife. I was like, okay, I need to get out of my head because I've literally been. I talked to him last on the phone on last Thursday, this past Thursday. So what is that Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday? I've been thinking about it, just been kind of percolating on it for four days. Not good.
I've been obsessing about it too much and nothing's occurred Yet. So my recommendation, when you're getting into that mental funk, step away or leave your phone at home, do some meditation, do some exercise, read a book, do another activity that is totally unrelated to work or whatever it is that you're fixated on or obsessing about. Second that we went in the garage and we did a workout, I totally stopped thinking about it. So very, very helpful when you're in that headspace or another trick. Lucas talked about it a lot in previous post.
Utilize AI. I've actually been using AI as another like now don't get me wrong, I'm off. I am like 100% human to human therapy. Super important. But I also as another tool to your tool chest. I've been using the AI as therapy too. Just talking my mental if I, if you're stuck, you're in this mental loop, you use the AI. Say hey, I'm in this mental loop. How can I get out of this? Is there anything else I can do differently? This is what I'm doing to, to, to navigate this. This is what I'm doing to mitigate this.
What can I do differently? Super helpful. So I'm going to do that tonight actually I've stopped kind of thinking about, you know, those outcomes and, and overthinking things. But to communicate clearly and honestly with myself and others what you're talking about, I think it needs to be a part of mine before I communicate. Meditating to gather and compose myself and get clear on what I need. Ah, very good Honor. Really good. Really good. Yeah. And meditating helps you figure out how you want to communicate to others before maybe some events occur or meetings or it's.
I find that delay right meditations like here's your thought, here's your reaction, bridges the gap. Help slow down that reaction when, when you're feeling that way now. So that was the thing I want to change for 2026. Thanks for sharing that with us Anna about communicating more clearly and honestly and you use meditation to help do that. That's awesome. You've got a tool to do that. That's awesome. Now let's talk about three wins from the week. So I'd say that was the win. Getting the opportunity.
It's a potential opportunity. We don't know yet if it's a full on opportunity but I know it's potential opportunity. I could get back in the bank. Higher pay, maybe more flexibility being in a managerial role. I mean it's still going to be stressful but it'll be a little bit different stress because it won't be me getting. I still have to get like hit sales goals. It'll be for my team. I'll be helping my team hit sales goals. So a little bit different. So again, that's if I get the role and if it, if it all flows.
So that's the first one of the week. Second win of the week. I would say. Letting things flow, not forcing things as much. Getting better at that. Used to try and control the situation a lot and yeah, absolutely, Anna. Let's see how it goes. But getting better, I'd say second win of the week. First one's the opportunity. Opportunity, second win is not, not contracting control of situation. Letting the situation unfold the way it's meant to because then you're less in your head and you're not overthinking things.
So I've really been trying to work on that because we, at the end of the day, we really don't have control. At the end of the day, we have control over us. How prepared we are and how we think and react to the situation. That's it. Everything else secondary then third win of the week. Third one of the week. What would that be? All third win of the week. All the amazing trips that me and my wife have planned. It's already in the calendar. We're already going Canuck skin in February, Tofino, February and a so Canucks game in February to Fino.
So west coast trip in February with my wife and our friends and then in April going to another province, Canada, which I've never been in other province in Canada. Winnipeg. Winnipeg or winter Peg. Because it's very cold there. Yeah, let's go. Let's go. Anna and anyone else, let me know in the chat things that you're. That you're. Three things that you're proud of that happened this week could be anything. It. And I forgot to mention YouTube. I'm growing the crap out of my YouTube right now and that's why I'm.
My time stretch a little thin because full time work. Then it's literally full time YouTube and I've been doing this daily treadmill challenge and that's been helping immensely with the mental health. Like so good because it's starting off the day with the win. A huge win. I'm doing that. Jen Aniston 12 incline 3 speed, 30 minutes. So 31230 I think they call it or 12330 however you say it every morning. Sometimes I'll skip more and if I'm, if I'm tired, I'll do in the evening, but I'm sticking with it.
And on day 25 today, I have 30, so that's freaking sweet. And then YouTube subscribers at 248, so people are like resonating with the content they're liking. The mind, body and soul optimization content. Nice. Yep. Planning your week for tonight, number one. Yeah. Planning the week ahead. Always a good strategy, like meal prepping. I did some meal prep earlier today. I love it. That's a win. Prepping the food. Like made breakfast already. Me and my wife have a protein smoothie every morning and gives us the energy to start the day, start the week with a win.
But yeah, I got ready to go. That's all the time I got tonight. But may you be happy, may you be healthy, and may you be at peace and happy holidays to you. I know we're getting close to the holidays and some people might already be on their holidays already. Number two, my sister and I have been doing yoga at the local studio every other day and that's been lovely. Something good to rely on. Yeah. And keep you grounded. Yep. Yoga's so good for that. That's awesome. Working on planning my week tonight.
Yeah, planning your week. Do you plan your week on like in a planner or digital planner? Notes app, Google calendar, Whiteboard. Notes app. Nice. Yep, super handy. Me and my wife, look, we do meal plan for the week from the notes app too. All this stuff on my phone that's weird. Like pixelated or something. Oh, I see. Nice angle calendar. Nice. Awesome. All right, that's it. Cadre Sphere. This is Alex Meer of the Mindset, helping you flex your mind, body and soul. If you haven't already, you can check out my YouTube channel as well at mind m I n d CEP mindset.
And I help and I talk about fitness content. Started doing two weekly lives on there today. I did Sunday meal prep. So I do Sunday meal prep on Sundays. Try and do it 12 or 12:30pm Pacific and then 6pm on Tuesdays is no equipment. Body weight training. I just show myself training and it's like a workout with me, kind of a live. So if you're into that, if you want some inspiration, you want something, you want to see someone else, like put in the hard work. I'll show you. So have an awesome rest your Sunday and maybe happy, maybe healthy, maybe at peace.
Ciao.
