Simple practical exercise to be present. I use this a lot to start coaching sessions. To create change and live intentionally, we must first be present! ✌️

  1. 0:003 part 30 second exercise to ground and bring yourself into the present

When we're in the present, we can handle the day to day a lot easier. In the past and the future, everything becomes overwhelming. Here's a 30 second exercise to ground and bring yourself into the present.

All right, everybody, we live in a noisy world. I'm going to give you a 3 part 30 second exercise to ground and bring yourself into the present, out of the past and the future. When we're in the present, we can handle the day to day a lot easier. When we're in the past and the future, everything becomes overwhelming. We're playing defense, everything's fight or flight. This resonates with you. This is what I do at the beginning of a lot of my coaching sessions, even sometimes my conversations. 3, 2, 1.

Method, quick. Name three things that you see in the room. Go say them out loud. After that, what are two things that you can feel or touch? What's the temperature? What's the texture? And the last thing is what's one thing that you hear? Don't move on until you fully hear that sound land in your body. And so quick. 3, 2, 1. After that, you're in the present, you're in the moment. We're here, now we can go. Hopefully that helps. Guys, let's get out of the past, in the future into the present where we can make intentional conscious decisions.

Where life feels a lot more manageable and even fun. Dare I say.
