The speaker gives everyday examples—going for a walk for health, preparing for a difficult conversation—and names specific intentions such as communication, openness, and acting from love. This section helps viewers identify intentions they can use in common situations.
Danielle emphasizes returning to your intention during unexpected moments and explains that life often reflects conscious or unconscious intentions. She highlights that you can choose or change your intention at any moment.
Using the example of daily walks, the presenter shows how a simple intention (health) can evolve into adventure or community through repeated practice. She encourages setting daily intentions like peace or joy and journaling to notice their effects.
Danielle repeats her name, invites viewers to try intentions, and offers a friendly goodbye to conclude the video.
Hello, everyone. My name is Danielle. I'm talking today about intention and how to set one and sure, why, how do they work? So intention is an aim or a goal of what you intend to have happen. Again, speaking into his isn't what you want to have happen. It could be even just having a job. My intent is to provide for myself and my family. Intention could be for going for a walk outside could be for health. My intention is health going for a walk. It could be having a conversation with somebody that seems a little like a hard conversation that you're going into, though you know you want to have it and you're kind of a little worried about it.
And you could also think of patterns that may come up in you that you don't want, like frustration, anger, or shutting down, right? So your intention could be communication. Your intention could be open. Your intention could be from a place of love. So again, it's going back to what you intend to have happen, especially in the moments where you feel like you may show up in a way you don't want to, or even the situation is going down a path that you weren't expecting. And then again, it's going back to your intention.
What do you want to have happen for? this experience, for this thing, for yourself, for the people around you. Like you can have an intention for yourself, number one, and then just watch things start to happen for you. I like to say life is going as intended. So your life is actually going as your intended consciously or unconsciously. So a lot of times we don't even intend things. or more unconscious living life versus like, we get to choose. We get to be conscious about what we want to have happen.
You do. And at any moment you can choose again. That's the really cool thing. You can shift your intention. You can go for a walk and I like to use simple ones because it's like sometimes if we think in a tough situation or experience, it's hard to get grounded in what our intention is, but say going for a walk outside, my intention is health. And then you're going for your walk and you do maybe 30 walks, right? Every day for 30 days. And then you see, wow, there's so much adventure that can happen on these walks.
I can go to a new place. I can bring people with me or whatever. It starts to evolve and your intention for walking could be adventure. and community building, bringing people with you or having fun with that so they can play off of each other. So have fun with intention, even set one for the day. Wake up in the morning, my intention for today is peace. And then watch peaceful things happen or watch opportunities for you to live in peace happen for you to act out. All right, the power of intention, my friends, enjoy it, even just journal on it, my intention for the day is joy.
See what happens. My name is Danielle. Have a great rest of your day.
