Welcome to Wealth Wisdom Wednesday. This is your host, Alex of the Mindset podcast. The theme for July is is freedom. Today is all about redefining success on your own terms.
So, like, my dream is to be that Cadre contributor that you guys can't get enough of. I want to provide so much value that you can'tget enough. It's going to take time. It'll take patience.
Talking about freedom this month, talking about success on your terms. What do you define as success? Is it monetary? Or is it passion for what you do. Is it Canadian real estate?
What do you define success as in your terms? Let me know in the comments. Our past is a moment in time that we can use as a catalyst to catapult us into the future. Figure out what success means for you.
Finance has always been a passion of mine. But eventually I want to transition to becoming. I love health and wellness. One's health isn't measured by money, but by your family, friends, and the lives you have touched. That's where your true wealth lies.
And then it'll help you bounce back. And then it will help you have that clearer vision of where you want to go. So thank you all for tuning to this live Cadre. Love you, Cadre Sphere. And stay tuned for Sunday Spark sessions.
And welcome to Wealth Wisdom Wednesday. It's Cadre. And today is all about redefining success on your own terms. So thank you all for tuning into this live. Stay tuned. This is your host, Alex of the Mindset podcast, helping you flex your mind, body and soul. And I did do a little post during again at work letting you all know when I was going live again. I want to get better at doing that just so more and more people know on my, from my YouTube channel. Anwar, welcome. Welcome to the Live. And the theme for July is is freedom.
And because the free, the theme of July for this month on Cadre is freedom. Really trying to focus on that. So that's why, you know, Wealth Wisdom Wednesdays and Sunday Spark sessions is going to be really heavily focused on that because I feel like a lot of us, we're looking for more peace, we're looking for more tranquility. We're looking to be more consistent, more product speak. Wonder, welcome to the Live. Thanks for tuning in. And I think a big part of wealth creation, wealth accumulation, wealth protection, as you get into your older years too, like, maybe like, you know, you're helping parents manage their assets and then that wealth transfer when, when grandparents, parents pass away is redefining wealth and success on your own terms.
Because, you know, when I was younger, I'm 32 now, like when I was in my 20s, I was just obsessed with. Yeah, welcome. Good evening. Speak. Wonder, welcome. Yeah, take, take lots of notes. When I was younger, like, my, my, my version of success, like, mentally was like, I want to be a millionaire. I want to be like all these business owners, entrepreneurs in the books. I'm rich dad, poor dad, junk food junkie. Welcome to the Live. Thanks for tuning in. I want to be like Robert Kiyosaki or I want to be like, who is another like, kind of mentor, like the wealthy barber, David Chilton.
He's like a Canadian real estate mogul. Yeah. Good evening, Junk food junkie. I was like, just upset. I had this obsession about becoming rich. And that's kind of why I got into banking is like, because I love, I love learning about money. I like talking about money. And I think that's a big part of the equation of redefining success on your terms is like, success does not always have to mean monetary. It's a part of the piece of the puzzle. But it's not the only piece of the puzzle because you could have all the money in the world.
And I've heard of stories of people that have all the money in the world. And they're absolutely miserable. They're terrible to be around. They're awful. Their personality stinks. They don't relate with people. They speak down to people through. They have a huge ego. They don't have patience. And like, they say, like, as we age, we're supposed to have more patience. Like, all these virtues, right? Wisdom, patience, perseverance, all persistence, all these different things. Adam. Adam. W. welcome to Live.
Yeah. Yeah. Passion's a big part. I like to live a life of passion. And, and I've become a lot more patient through meditation and stuff like that. But redefining success on our own terms is, is, is something that we have to determine for ourselves. And it's, it's not easy because it can change over time, right? Like, young Alex was like, I want to be a millionaire. I want to be a gazillionaire. I want to have so much money that doesn't matter what I purchase in the store. I don't have to look at the price tag.
I still have that goal. I still have that goal. By the way, that goal hasn't gone away. Some people, it happens earlier for them to hit those kinds of goals. Some people, it takes a lot more time. And there's nothing wrong with that, right? Everyone's. Everyone's time. Yeah. Hey, Nikki, welcome to the Live. Yeah, absolutely. So, like, my dream, like, there's some, like, I'm not going to say who, but there's some, there's some Cadre contributors in the community that have huge, like, member. They have a lot of members, right?
I want, I want to be that Cadre contributor that you guys, like, you show up to my lives. You're like, holy smokes. The value that this guy provides, I love it. Right? I want to get to that level. That's like my goal for, for as a Cadre contributor. I want to provide so much value that you can't get enough. And. Yeah, yeah, and it'll happen. It's going to take time. It's going to take patience. It's going to take showing up live every single time, right? Wealth, Wisdom. Wednesdays, Sunday Spark sessions and, and continuing to, to, to lean into your intuition, right?
Talking about freedom this month, talking about success on your terms. Right? And that takes time to figure that out. But for my, for yourselves, I want to ask you, what do you define as success? Is it monetary? Is it, like, you exude passion for what you do. You love life. You're. You're like happiness, right? Some people's goal is happiness. They want to be they want to be happy. Well what makes you happy? Right? Is it Canadian real estate? Oh you mentioned just like Tony Robbins here in the States is the Canadian real estate guru.
You mentioned just like Tony. Oh yeah. Robert Kiyosaki is actually Hawaiian real estate investor which I learned from so. And rich dad, poor dad and cash flow quadrant. He's actually Hawaiian so he's American. Yeah. So even though our systems are different in Canada for investing and stuff like that. Yeah, totally. Yeah. Finding passion but monetary in my 30s. Yeah. Yeah. Passion past. The thing is like Steve Jobs always said that. I love that quote. He's like you can't connect the dots looking forward.
You can only connect the docks looking backward. And passion is the vital ingredient necessary to withstand all the turbulence, all the ups and downs. This goes in wealth accumulation, wealth protection. Are building the best version of you that you can be. So. But David Chilton is like a. He wasn't as known so he's a Canadian investor as well. But he wasn't as known for his real estate investing. Is more known for his stock investing and like building like a portfolio like I've talked about in previous lives about that but junk food and junkie.
What do you define success as in your terms? Let me know in the comments. Or Nikki as well. Like what do you. What's. What do you define success as in the comments surrounding success. What success is on you. On how you define it in your own terms. Let me know in the comments because yeah for myself like I mentioned earlier, it's building an amazing personal brand. I eventually want to build my own products like digital products, like a course, an audiobook. I already have a draft written of an ebook.
I just got too much going on right now to to like release it because I. And I'm also pursuing like I want to become a Canadian like online personal trainer. Like I want on my online and a full time content creator. Those are like my. That's like my mission. That's like what wakes me up every day and that will. I know that will lead to. Yeah. Success. Not just monetary. Yeah. Feel like business is not for everyone but for me. I don't do. I don't like to do alone. I rather join an organization. Yeah, totally.
Yeah. Like team, like team based approach. Like Cadre. Yep, totally. You can't get better without looking back at your past and drawing from it. Yeah. To move forward to achieve your goals. Yeah, absolutely. Our past is a moment in time that we can use as a catalyst to catapult us into the future and for One big thing that I've been really working on that I. I want every one of you to work on, too. If. If you. Because you might be in the same boat too, with some. Where either. Most people are either thinking the past.
And even Luke, our CEO of Cadre, mentioned this too. And when I want to have him on the podcast, he mentioned most people are thinking about the past or thinking about the future. They're not right here, right now, like I am with you. I'm 100% focused on the Cadre sphere right now. And that's why. That's what I love about this community. Right. Passionate about my legacy. Yeah. Yeah. Like, the hardest part of day to day is being in the here and the now. And when we are in the here and the now and we're not thinking about anything else in the past or the future, that puts us in the best position to, like, prepare.
Prepare for our future. Right. To put in the work, to get up every day and be like, you know, what am I? What am I shooting for? What am I? I want to shoot for the stars. Like, that's always been my thing. I want to. I want to think so big that it's scary, and I end up somewhere among the stars because that's how everyone else did it. They thought so big, and people thought they were nuts, and then all of a sudden, they're like, boom. And then they eventually achieve it, something huge. And then people are like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
How did you do that? And then they. They always say the same thing. They never stop believing. They never stop believing themselves. And I want to encourage all of you in the Cadre sphere, never stop believing yourself. Figure out what success means for you. Oh, when I. Since I was 14, I liked how you describe you liked finance. I would watch video, read Rich dad, poor Dad. I was on the same mode. Oh, yeah, totally. Yeah. Finance has always been a passion of mine. It's not the main passion now, but it's a career.
It's my career. But eventually I want to, like I said, transition to becoming, because I love health. I love health and wellness. And that's like, I've had these two passions, finance and money, and then health and wellness. And health and wellness is my true, true passion. Like, it's like second love, right? Or really, health and wellness was my first love. Finance is my second love. But finance is what built my career and got me to the point that I'm at now. And I. And I am. I have so much gratitude for it and.
And all that But. But at the, at the core, it's health and wellness. It's building a better mind, body and spirit. One's health isn't measured by money, but by your family, friends, and the lives you have touched. That's where you're. Yeah. That's for your true wealth lies. Absolute. Absolutely. Junk food junkie. Totally. Yeah. 100%. It's. It's so important. Like the connections that we have and how we inter. How we interact with people, how we show up when we interact with people. Like, that matters to me more.
A lot. A lot more than anything Monetary, nothing monetary can show you someone's character or like, how gracious they are, how. How. How much they connect with you. Like, those are things that are, like, taught and that are learned. Like respect, chivalry, like how gracious you are, like how passionate you are. Right. Those are all things that money can't buy. You have to build those yourself and they're learned. Or. Yeah, you have to build those yourself. Like, by learning to be the best version of yourself.
You have to constantly learn and then by also, like, learning from your, you know, your upbringing and stuff like that, background, etc. Etc. Just launch. Launching off our failures. Yeah. Speak wonder. Actually, that brings up a great point. So again, defining success on. On. On your terms. Right. Cadre, like the July theme is all about freedom. Failures are not. Failures are never final was another amazing quote that I read because I got, like I said in previous lives, I got a demotion at work in the last year.
Yeah, it was like a year and a half ago. But it really, like, bruised my ego. I was feeling bruised and battered and. And it really bothered me because I felt like, inadequate. I felt insecure. I felt like, like I had failed. And. And although I did fail and. And that that previous role didn't work out, I totally. It was like a springboard for all this, like, becoming a Cadre contributor. Like, really, like, digging deep within myself to be like, what. Who do I want to become? Like, what do I. What do I want?
How do I want to set up my family and like, you know, my, My future kids? Like, although I don't have kids yet, but I know me and my wife are planning on it. And like, I want to. I want to set us up. I want to. I want to have so much opportunity and manufacture so much abundance from within and give that abundance with. To the Cadre community that you guys, you know from everything that I taught you and everything that you. Every time you tune in that you're like, you know what? I know I've learned something from that guy.
And I'm going to manufacture my own abundance from within. Because I was thinking about it the opposite way. I was trying to manipulate my environment from the outside in. I totally flipped the switch. So suggest this to you. If you're if you're too fixated on the outer world, go within. Go within. Through meditation, through reading, through your own personal growth journey, however you choose to do that, that will rebuild you mentally and you help you build more resilience. And then it'll help you bounce back.
And then it will help you have that clearer vision of where you want to go and help you define success on your terms. So thank you all for tuning to this live Cadre. Love you, Cadre Sphere. And stay tuned for Sunday Spark sessions. Thank you all and have an amazing night.
