There are five elements to your recovery: physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual. You need to heal your body and heal your brain. Emotionally, you want to reconnect to a wide range of emotions. spiritually, we need to find some sense of centeredness.

When it comes to your recovery, there are five elements that you need to be thinking about your physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual capacities. Physically, you need to be taking care of your health, especially if there are things that you neglected in your active use. You need to heal your body and heal your brain. You need to be developing your ability to think clearly and have organized thoughts. Again. Emotionally, you want to be able to reconnect to a wide range of emotions, both positive and negative, and learn to truly experience them again.

Socially, we need to build bonds with people in sobriety and also repair some of the damaged relationships that we might have left over from active use. And finally, spiritually, we need to find some sense of centeredness, some set of core values that we can live our life by, and some sense of open mindedness to things that we might not understand and accept right now.
