Sombra Hour, and I'm here today with James Gannino, a dear friend of mine in the sobriety space, and we do a lot of networking and business in the sauna. So we thought it would be fun to come at you from Portal today and share a little bit on the topic of community and what community means. Are you ready? Sure. Yeah. Let's go. Okay. Yeah. So community in the Cadre app, we talk a lot about belonging and a lot of people are logging in, finding community through our conversations, but we love in real life stuff.

So yeah, I'd love to hear from you as to what you think about belonging and the community that we've created through Sauna Socials, which we do at Portal. Well, Sauna Social has been a great way to one, get the health benefits of doing sauna cold plunge. It also, what we learned through doing sauna social was putting you in a state of mind where you're kind of getting the best version of yourself to the people around you. And just really making that connection of surrounding yourself with people that want the same things as you, is health and wellness, a relaxing environment, opposed to being in a busy bar.

Yeah, a busy bar. A busy bar. Yeah, our busy bar is the sauna. And we love bringing community here. And I think that's part of what we've grown by inviting people in. There's a lot of sober people that really embrace the sauna culture in Minneapolis. So wherever you're at, comment in the chat where you're logging in from. We'd love to hear it. And I think that I surprisingly found sauna and cold immersion about seven years ago. When did you discover sauna? Probably about three or four years ago.

Okay. Yeah, and it's become a daily regimen for me, but The social aspect is really within the last few years of going to places, not just going to your local gym, but finding a place like Portal or a place like Embrace North where you can go and find community as well. And even setting up your own, inviting friends and making an actual event. I do for sure. Yeah. And James is here in part today because I'm celebrating 12 years. I so Today, and I always call in friends, I'm like, Come on, celebrate, and James is always one of the first to show up, so pretty cool to see the community that we've built here at Portal.

We've been, how long have we been doing these? About 4 months, four months. And we're going to be taking a little break on those. But if you live in the Twin Cities area, hopefully we'll be ramping those up again this fall. And the event in August. And the event in August. August 9th. Yeah. You want to talk about that a little bit? Yeah. So it's a really, really cool event, August 9th at North Loop Park, right? Yep. And they'll have outdoor sauna cold plunge. They're going to have breath work. They're going to have Sound Bath, I think, by Jean.

Yeah, Jean Mitchell, another Cadre contributor, yeah. Contributor, but that would also be a really great way to kind of come and meet a lot of people in the community that are looking to do. That's a great segue, yeah, because we do, through in real life events, through the Cadre contributors, we want to share that and invite you in. So that one is hosted by Josh Leddy. Yeah. What do we know about, yeah, what do we know about Josh? Have you seen his pain management talks? They're great. They are great.

They are great. You've been on his, have you been on his podcast yet? I haven't been on, I haven't been on Getting Sweaty with Leddy, but I'm sure I will be in the future. I'm sure you will be. And we will be pouring Even at the event as well. So that'll be cool if you're looking to try some new. Tell them about Even, what your role is and what you've been up to. So I'm the founder, one of the founders of Even NA Cocktails. We're a local Minnesota non-alcoholic cocktail company. are always pouring at events at Portal.

We'll be pouring at the event on August 9th. And we're also in most liquor stores and grocery stores and now just getting into restaurants in the Minnesota area. But we are the same way. We're kind of trying to meet you where you're at and just give you other options outside of alcohol to kind of enjoy these occasions. For sure. It's one of my absolute favorite non-alcoholic beds. So I'm excited to see that continue and it's so fun to serve it. So we're going to be serving it tomorrow night, actually.

We're going to be at Portal for the last sauna social of the season. 5 to 7. Yeah, join us. We will. All right, check it out. We're going to hop in the sauna now. Okay, bye.
