Three ways to go get what you are worth. Don’t wait for your annual review to prove you deserve more.
Good morning, Cadre family. It's always good to see everybody on a Monday morning, considering my family's circumstances. I'll give it a minute here until I start seeing some recognizable names and faces start popping up on the amazing Cadre live stream.
My amazing dog Layla is no longer with us. She had such a big heart, and she was always there for us. I would encourage you today to think about maybe a different way that you look at your animal. Take those moments in and really cherish it.
In 54321, I want you to breathe in in three. Breathe in and hold and then let go. Let's do that three times. Sometimes you can just take that breathing exercise.
The words you speak, they matter. How you speak to yourself, just like if I'm speaking to myself, there's no way that Cadre is going to get up and going. Here's three tricks to ask for a raise. Have a wonderful week.
Good morning. Good morning, Cadre family. It's Luke Wendland here, just listening to a little bill Withers this morning. I'll give it a minute here until I start seeing some recognizable names and faces start popping up on the amazing Cadre live stream this morning. Oh, there's Jules. Oh, it's always so good to see everybody start popping. There's 1234. I love it. It's always good to see everybody on a Monday morning, considering my family's circumstances. Good morning, good morning, good morning.
Good morning. Oh, my gosh. Edrington. It's always good to see you, bud. Always think of you, Colleen. All right, I'm gonna pause this beast. Hello, hello, hello. Happy Monday. You know, I'm usually not my upbeat, energetic self today, and I'll do the best I can to get out of here without tears, but the last twelve years, my amazing dog Layla, is no longer with us. So it's one of those things where, you know, the family is processing it, and, you know, my goal is to come in here today and bring everybody up and bring up their spirits and talk about some things that you can do from an employee standpoint about asking for raises.
But, you know, we talk about cadres being authentic and being real and being vulnerable. And the reality is, like, I just can't bring that today. I can't. And so. But what I can do is, you know, I can share, you know, that, you know, these four legged animals, they always call them, you know, man's or a. A woman's best friend, you know, boy, oh, boy, they get close with you. And what I found through the course of the weekend was just kind of like reminiscing on all the little things and all the little things that brought me so much joy and all the little things that brought my kids so much joy with that beautiful, beautiful boxer, Layla.
And I'll never forget going to get her. And when I picked her up, the breeder said, this is the runt. This is the runt of the litter. So we'll give you a little discount here, okay? And she turned out to be anything but a runt. She had such a big heart, and she was always there for us, and we were always there for her. But it does not make it any easier. That's for darn sure. You know, she was just a really, really good girl that cared so much about the kids and mom and dad and just the interaction that we had.
And she would always go to our neighbor Tom. Neighbor Tom, he's a firefighter, and she would always come over there, like, literally wait till he gets home and then just be standing there d*** near waiting for him to get out of his truck to, you know, always greet him and say. Say hi. So it was, it was good. It was a good run. It was a really, really good run. And, you know, and I think honoring, you know, a dog like that, like what, what do you think Leo would want? I think Lei would want us to be good to other people.
I think Leia would want us just to be good with other people, no matter what. And so, yeah, it's been a tough few days, and so, you know, I just want to. I just don't have it today. I'm just being frank. You know, I think we all can have those days and have those moments. And so, you know, what I just want to say today is if you have your Layla or if you have, you know, layla of a friend or something like that, and, you know, man, just live it up. You know, do the walks, go spend time, love those dogs up.
That, gosh, they're just. They bring you so much joy, energy, and love. And so I would encourage you today to think about maybe a different way that you look at your animal and take those moments in and really cherish it, because when it's gone, yes, you have the memories, but, boy, there's a big hole in your heart that's missing. So that's what I have today. And I'm sorry if I'm not trying to bring the cadres fear down. Maybe the rest of the crew on Monday is going to bring you up. They will. The rest of the crew will bring me up, but I just wanted to come, you know, just be really and speak my truth.
What, you know, the Wentland family is dealing with today. It's real, it's raw. That's what we are here, and it is very emotional. But you know what? My timberwolves got us a win, and that was awesome last night. But, you know, let's. Let's. Let's take a pause for 1 minute. Let's do five deep breaths, and then I'm gonna end with something here, so. All right, so here we go. Ready? And in 54321, I want you to breathe in in three. Like, hold for one. Breathe out in three. Ready? One, two, three. Breathe in and hold and then let go.
Let's do that three times. Ready? One, two, three. Breathe in. Hold, then let go. And then one last time, hold and let go. Sometimes you can just take that breathing exercise, and you can just find some clarity and just pause. For a minute. All right, so here's my moment of clarity. Today we have an unbelievable lineup for you all. We range from an individual. Who's nick the poet, talking about taking a walk with Nick. He's going to communicate some of his poetry practices, et cetera. I always can't wait to see what he writes for Monday, which is great.
Gene Nichols is going to come in and chit chat with you for a while. The next one is JC. JC is going to come and share. Matt Tappy is going to come in and share. And Derek lays will be here and come in to share. So there's going to be a really, really great fearsome five some today. And I'm excited for that. And I promise I'm not trying to bring the energy down from the Cadre sphere. I'm not. I just. Like. I would be lying to you all if I came in and just said, you know, rainbows and butterflies and all the things.
That's just not life. Life is always, you know, sometimes, too, where, you know, there's loss, there's grief, there's trauma, there's mental health, there's all of it. And, you know, for me today, this was. I would say Friday was, you know, as low as I've been in a long, long, long time. And. But you know what? That cycle can switch. And I will be moving up, and I will be moving up incrementally. It's not saying it's tomorrow, but I will be moving up incrementally, and you can, too. And so let's.
Let's lean into those people we love today. Let's lean in those people we love. Let's lean into those individuals that we care about, whether it's an animal, whether it's friends, whether it's family, you name it. Let's do that. So, Jules, again. It's always good to see you, Beth. You're right. One of the best d*** dogs ever. Speak wonder. I hope everything is always well in your world. You're right. A dog is truly the heartbeat at your feet. So right on the money. Misty says, learning to love myself like I love others.
Talk to myself as kindly as speak to others. I'm so mean to myself. Learning to try to be nicer to me. Number one, misty, I'm sorry that's happening to you. But number two is you can make that change. There's no doubt about it. You can make that change. The words you speak, they matter. And how you speak to yourself, just like if I'm speaking to myself, there's no way that Cadre is going to get up and going. There's no way that Cadre is going to. There's no way we're going to build a community. There's no way that we're going to affect lives and affect change.
To the flip side of the coin, Cadre is going to change a lot of lives. Cadre will be a household name in five years. Cadre is going to be an answer for individuals for their mental health and wellness solutions. Cadre is. Cadre is. So I just encourage you, the words you speak, they matter, and the truths are real. So I want you to start speaking to yourself in a way that's kind of. That's with love, that's gentle. And to be frank, like, you need to normalize the love for yourself and the outward facing actions.
Talks, verbals, nonverbals that we share to the world are just as important as looking in the mirror and what we do for ourselves. I know so many people that can treat the world great, but they can't treat themself great. And so you owe it to yourself to give yourself the best so then you can actually reverb to the world in a really positive, amazing nature. So that is Monday. I will definitely do this title, which is how to ask for a raise. I will. I will do that at some point this week. I owe it to the Cadre sphere to share that, share that practice.
So I will be talking about when's the right time to ask for a raise. Here's three tricks or tools of the trade in order to potentially move forward with a raise. So I will share that, and I will share that message. I look forward to sharing that message with the Cadre sphere. And for everybody that joined me today, I just want to say thanks for having my back. Really. I mean that. Thank you for having my back means a lot. Having my family, talking to my family about all this is amazing. Also, having the Cadre spear here for me, like, I can feel the love, and that feels really, really, really good.
So I love you guys. Have a wonderful, wonderful week. Like I said, be good to one another. And just imagine that there's millions of Layla's out there that are just sharing so much love and joy in the world. So you guys take care. Thanks for your time. Appreciate.
