  1. 0:01Mindfulness is an incredible and simple practice. But simple and easy aren't the same thing

Cadre family, I want to remind you that mindfulness is an incredible and simple practice. In fact, it's the opposite of overthinking. It's just a matter of observation. Take that with you this week and see what you observe.

What's going on? Cadre family, just coming back to you with a quick pre recorded video. I know it's been a little while, but, you know, this idea is on my mind a lot lately, which is how mindfulness can be really practical and supportive in our lives. And I think mindfulness can be quite confusing. You know, we hear this word in so many different contexts in our life. I know for me, a lot of times, it's like mindfulness. Mindfulness. Right. Mindfulness. What is mindfulness? Ooh, do I know how to do right?

And all of a sudden, I'm not being mindful. And so, really, simply, I want to remind you that mindfulness is an incredible and simple practice. In fact, it's the opposite of overthinking. And so if you find yourself trying to be mindful and overthinking and racing to do it the right way, just know that all it takes is a step back. And just like you're sitting in the park watching the kids play, watching the ducks land on the pond, it's just observing. And it's observing what's out there, and it's observing what's in here without responding, just noticing.

Observing. And as simple as it is to state the practice of mindfulness, the actual ability to do so and learn that and go back to that place can be challenging. But simple and easy aren't the same thing. And so, just a reminder that mindfulness is simple. It's just a matter of observation. Take that with you this week and see what you observe. Bye.
