  1. 0:02Eric: It's okay that your life is hard right now

Cadre family, it's okay that you don't feel happy right now. Here, now, today, this very second, acknowledge the things you cannot control. Take a step into the unknown, open to what might come without judgment, letting ourselves be human.

What's going on? Cadre family, this is Eric, practicing clinical psychotherapist, here to give you some news. And that news is, it's okay that you don't feel happy. It's okay that your life is hard right now. It's okay that you've been rejected, that others don't see what you see in yourself. It's okay that the future is uncertain. It's okay that the past bears scars. It's okay that there's things in this life purely out of your control. And it's okay that you've tried to control them. It's okay that you've made a wrong turn here and there.

It's okay that there was a time in your life that felt right. It's okay that you wish that would come back. All of these things are okay, because all of these things are human. Here, now, today, this very second, acknowledging the things you cannot control, the things you cannot change or give a simple answer to. Like, what happens after I die? What's gonna happen next week? Or how is this person gonna respond to me, setting a boundary in my life without needing to be happy? Can we look around and see what's important?

And from there, take a step into the unknown, open to what might come without judgment, letting ourselves be human. Talk to you next week.
