Dempsey has gotten bigger. Happy January. I love January. It's like such a fresh start. Love you have the best day and weekend.

Good morning. I'm going to wait till this thing kicks in and says, I'm officially live. Rockin my enjoy Oregon vintage sweatshirt that's supposed to look like Coca Cola. Love this sweatshirt. Did you know that red is one of the colors of the winter of the season? So I'm finding little ways to bring it in because red is not usually my color, but here we are. Good morning, Chris. How are you? Long time no talk. Thank you for always tuning in. You're the best. All right, you guys, so today I am gonna talk to you.

Obviously, always. The theme of my week with Cadre here is going back to making your big dreams come true. And I like to tie that into anecdotes and things that are happening in my life and share them with you in hopes that one thing might help you in your day, in your month, in your year. And as I was thinking about what I wanted to talk to you about, here we are, like, the first live stream of the new year. I was thinking about what I'm taking into the new year and, like, what I'm changing. And I don't know what it is about turning the page on a new year that gives everybody this fresh, clean slate, but it does.

We're conditioned that way to just, like, want to make change. And one thing I'm definitely carrying through is my sobriety journey. It's been clarifying and amazing, and I even felt guilty opening up a 0% alcohol bottle of champagne. I had to ask the guy at the store multiple times. Hey, Luke. Good morning. Like, you're sure that this doesn't have alcohol? Cause I just felt, like, this overwhelming feeling that I didn't want to give up all the hard work that I had put in, and I want to just keep it going.

So that is one thing I'm for sure bringing into the new year. But we're seeing a lot on social media, this theme of, like, ins and outs, like, what's in for 2024, what's out? Like, what are we leaving in the past? I'm not going to talk about that today because it's so trendy. I like to be different. But I'm going to talk to you about actionable steps that I am already taking that I hope to carry through into the new year. And there are four of them, so bear with me while we get through four of my personal actionable steps that I think will help me have the best year yet.

And these are just a few, but they're ones that I've already started. So I'm sharing them with you guys. So the first one is, I've been manifesting, having my own show. I know that sounds totally insane, but it's something that I've wanted for a long time, and I've been writing it down and writing it down and manifesting it and manifesting it and journaling it and all the things. And what I realized in 2024 is that I'm just gonna make it happen. So, good morning, junk food junkie, and happy new year.

Thanks for joining. Talking about my four actionable steps that I am doing to have myself a great year and that I'm doing to, like, put myself into full blown action instead of just thinking about it, which I did a lot of in 2023. And I should have started with that. You guys, 2023 was a year of just sitting for me and, like, disengaging and holding strong to my boundaries, getting quiet, sitting with myself and just chilling out and not forcing all of this, like, go, go, go. And I was still obviously doing things to work toward bettering my life, but I didn't really go out that much.

I just sort of, like, stayed in this, like, place of, like, just, like, watching things happen around me and getting really, really clear so I could come out with a bangin 24. So, anyway, back to number one. I'm going to create my own show. That's right, you heard it here first. I'm creating an Instagram show. This sounds wild, but I'm gonna do it. And I don't care if there's two viewers or 20 viewers or maybe there'll be 2,000,001 day, but on Sunday nights, I'm going to just create my own Instagram show because I'm sick of talking about it and I'm just going to do it.

So I am taking action on something really big that I've been wanting to do for a really long time, which is create this show, have this show. I don't need somebody else to produce it for me. Instagram and social media are there for the taking, so I am putting that into action. Number two, I'm getting super clear on my goals, and I did this by writing it on a whiteboard that I'm keeping up for the whole year. Usually I'll, like, write it on a whiteboard and then I'll erase it and I'll use my whiteboard for other things, but I.

We have a bone fight over here. Sorry, guys. I'm writing it on a whiteboard, and I'm keeping it on the whiteboard, and I'm going to stare at it every single day. I'm keeping it in my living room where I can see it, where I look at it every day and start to visualize it. I've got my word of the year on there, which is abundance. And then I've got my 13 goals for the year. Lucky number 13. So I am getting super clear. I'm speaking it into existence and then I'm telling the people closest to me so I have some accountability.

So, number three, this is kind of all over the place, but this is like, already taking action. So ata I went to a gym, I already had a zoom with a podcast I want to be on. And I've already pitched two resorts for rescue kit. So it. This one is less thinking, more doing. And I don't even know if these are like, should be numbered, but, like, this is what I'm. What I'm doing is like, instead of just talking about it, I'm actually doing it and I'm sending out pitches. I'm telling people where I want to be, what I want to do.

I'm sharing my product with them, I'm sharing any ideas. I have to be on their platform because I want to be. I want to be bigger this year. I want people to know who I am. I want to help more people. I want to be in the face of everybody that I want to work with. So I am pitching myself like crazy and putting myself out there. And number four, this one, I think is going to be hugely important for me. I scheduled a co working partner to come work with me at my house every Monday at 730. In the morning, we're gonna start our day, we're gonna go for a walk with the dogs.

We're gonna talk about what we want to accomplish while we're moving our bodies. We're gonna come back to my house, we're gonna drink coffee and we're gonna work on our to do list, and we're gonna inspire each other and we're gonna hold each other accountable for half the day. Every Monday. No negotiations. It's happening. And I think this is gonna be a huge game changer for me because I lack accountability. I sit here in my house all alone, I cater to my barking dogs, my bone eating barking dogs, and I don't really stay focused.

So this year I have accountability. I have an accountability buddy. We're doing it. And I feel like it's something that I've been lacking for a really long time. I've been just talking about it. And a lot of this, a lot of this, and I think it's time to just and do okay, so less of this, more of this and do. And I'm really excited about that. So I encourage you to think about the ways that you want to take action this year. What are the things that you've been talking about that you know it's time to do?

Because what happens is, in the blink of an eye, a year goes by. 2023 is over. I swear I blinked, and it happened. And when I read my letter to myself, I write a letter to myself every year on New Year's Eve, I open up last year's letter, and I write a new one. And when I read my letter to myself this year, I was, like, a little bit underwhelmed, and I realized, like, a couple of things happened, but not really anything else. And I really also wasn't super clear on what I wanted. I just wrote the letter.

To write it and talk about clarity. I realized that and recognized that. And this year, when I wrote my letter, I was very specific on what I wanted to happen in this next year. And I'm going into this next year with fire underneath me. Fire. But I know that that fire gets extinguished really soon if I don't have accountability and if I don't take real action. So figure out what it is that you're taking action on. Get super clear on it. Write it down. Speak it into existence. Tell your closest people if you feel comfortable with that.

And don't wait until the end of January because you're still sitting around in holiday mode, and you haven't taken your Christmas decorations down, and you haven't cleaned your house, and you haven't purged your closets, and you haven't done any of these actionable steps that bring clarity and clearness for a new, fresh start. So figure it out. Let me know what you think you want to do. I'm gonna catch up on these. Marissa, good morning. You're taking on my challenge yourself to do things you haven't done but want to or thought about doing.

Yes. Okay. How did I miss that in the community feed? Oh, my gosh. I need to catch up. Yes. We are on the same wavelength. Junk food junkie and Marissa. I know. m. Walk days. Marissa and I used to work out in my backyard all the time. She was my next door neighbor. Now she lives in New York. But we had accountability. And when you have a buddy and you have somebody holding you accountable for something, even if it's just this community here, like, I know that I can always check in with you guys here and catch you up on what's going on.

And I have this whole, like, network of accountability. And I know that we're not meant to do life or business or anything alone, but sometimes you're just in that situation. If you're like me, I'm alone, and it's okay. I'm sitting here alone in my house. I work from home. I don't see clients that much anymore. My life is taken a different direction. I don't have a partner in my life. I don't have any kids. I'm alone, and I've got two dogs that can't talk and can't use their thumbs and do the dishes.

So everything falls on me, and that can feel really, really overwhelming. But also, I really like my peace, and I really like being alone. I'm introvert, extrovert. But I do know that I need accountability. So in the places that I know I need it, I'm gonna go out and take it. Accountability buddies are the best. Yes, they are. Marissa. It's our mutual friend Jen, who's gonna be my buddy on Mondays. So I'm so excited, and we both need it. And my recommendation about finding somebody that is your accountability buddy, is either to find somebody who's in the same place as you, both mentally and business wise, and maybe financially, or somebody who struggles with the same things as you so you can help each other out and not feel shame or guilt around talking about those things.

Like, if you both have a goal to make more money in the new year, you don't feel bad talking about the fact that you don't have it in your bank account. If you both have a goal to, you know, reach x amount of clients, clients this year, make a list and check in with each other and say, okay, I'm at one. What are you at? So you have a little bit of, like, healthy competition or, I guess, healthy accountability. And, you know, there's no comparison syndrome, right? Like, you're not actually competing with them, but you have this, like, level of accountability where you know that somebody's gonna hold your feet to the fire or find somebody that's in a little bit further along, places you that doesn't mind mentoring you a little bit and maybe still struggles with some things that you might be able to help with, somebody that you can counterbalance.

You know, we always want to have that person who might be a couple of steps ahead that can mentor us, but it has to, you know, work for you. So what works for me is finding somebody who's in the same place as me. And all the doggies say, hi, you guys. All the dogs say, hi. This is Dempsey. So anyway, I love you guys so much. Thank you for tuning in. Thanks for letting me show the dog content as well. And I really hope that these few things that I'm doing encourage you to go out, take action, take care of yourself.

You owe it to yourself to get to the next level, whatever that may be. I am never stopping. I'm never stopping this train. And I feel like my journey sometimes is a lot slower than other people's around me. But I know it's part of the bigger plan. And I know that as long as I continue to put 1ft in front of the other and I continue to keep working, that it's okay. I don't have to compare the pace of my journey to somebody else's. Don't compare your chapter two to somebody else's. Chapter 24 is a phrase that we often hear people say, and it's so true, it couldn't be more true.

Don't worry about what other people are doing. Just keep doing. Keep taking action. Yes. Dempsey has gotten bigger. Let me show you. Let me show you this boy. See, I'm just the nicest dog in this flopsy mopsy hair. You waving? Yeah, he's very busy. He's very busy. But he is so big. I think he's close to. Okay, I think he's close to being full size now. He's my little lover bug. Anyway, I love you guys so much. Thank you for tuning in. Happy January. I love January. It's like such a fresh start. Clean slate.

Like, I love. Just, like, getting set up for the whole year. I don't love taxes, though, so that's happening. So I gotta really think about that. But anyway, let's not worry yet. Okay? You guys. Love you have the best day and weekend, and I'm gonna go check out the community feed junk food junkie and see what you talked about on there so I can engage and just celebrate you. Okay, I love you guys. Have a great day.
