Risa: Every day should be Black Friday. Your dreams are always on sale. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise. May the force be with you.
So happy Thanksgiving, Luke. I hope you had a great thanksgiving, everyone. And I hope that you can take this message and apply it to making your big dreams come true. Only a few of these left in 2023.
Speaking of Chris, my sobriety journey here, I planned to go a whole year without alcohol. I felt 0% pressure to even have a non alcoholic. And I'm waking up super clear today, which I've loved doing over the past eleven months. I hope that you have an amazing holiday weekend.
Good morning, everybody. I'm gonna give it a second and let a couple people hop on if they're going to. It is the Friday after Thanksgiving, so if you're sleeping, I love that journey for you. And if you're awake and you're going to join me for my amazing message today, welcome, welcome, welcome. Welcome to the Cadre app. Welcome to my live stream. For those of you who don't know me, I am Risa, and I am a wardrobe stylist, confidence coach, bridal stylist, and mental health advocate. Welcome to my live stream.
I love jumping on here on Fridays and starting my day with my own mindful message. I feel like this entire journey of speaking to you guys on Friday. What's up, Luke? Has been my own method of journaling and therapy for the whole year, and I can't believe this year is coming to a close. Anyway, my message to you is, of course, about Black Friday. Okay, your dreams are on sale today, you guys. Your dreams are on sale. You want to quit your job? 40% off. You want to start a business? 60% off. Everything is on sale.
And for the taking today. Okay, not really, obviously, but I wanted to equate making your big dreams happen to Black Friday, this elusive day that we wait all year for, that people save their money for, save their big ideas for, save all of their Christmas gifting for, maybe wait to put something in their home like a tv or an outdoor patio set. If you live in Arizona this time of year and you wait and you wait and you wait for this big day where everyone is scrambling and fighting, and we watch parodies on SNL about people beating each other to the front of the line at target or whatever it is, and we wait and we dream and we, like, scheme and plot for this huge day, okay?
I mean, I have people that are messaging me, scrambling, like, what should I be shopping for on Black Friday? I'm like, what we should be doing, in my opinion, is treating every day like Black Friday. Like, your dreams are always available for you. They're there for the taking. What are you missing out on? If you're waiting for this one day of the year to go ham in the stores, what is society telling you that you should wait for? Why are we listening to that cue? Listen, I get it. People are running sales all at the same time.
But it's like I watch my bank account go from here to here in a matter of minutes on stuff that I don't even know if I really needed, things that I might possibly return, which returning is such a pain. Who wants to deal with that? And I think about this, like, mad scramble when throughout the year, where have you missed an opportunity? Where have you not put the time in? And I'm equating Black Friday to your big dreams, okay? I'm saying your dreams are there for the taking every single day throughout the year.
And think about the people who have been chipping away at their big dreams from the beginning of the year and working towards something at this time of year. They probably have a lot more in the savings to spend on Black Friday. What I'm saying is that every day should be treated like a Black Friday, and everything is right there for the taking. So don't let anyone else. Maybe it's society telling you your body doesn't look a certain way, so you shouldn't do that photo shoot for that business that you've been dreaming about in your heart.
Do it. Maybe society says it's a bad market to launch a business. Do it on the side, have no overhead. Work on your business plan. Go to a conference, learn something. Watch YouTube. Start chipping away. Maybe society says your market is too saturated. Don't launch that business. There's something for everyone out there, and everyone needs the unique gifts that you have to offer. Every day should be Black Friday. Your dreams are always on sale. They're always available to you. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise.
So, anyway, if you are shopping on Black Friday, happy Black Friday. Shopping. May the force be with you. I actually don't do any shopping on Black Friday. Sometimes my clients force me. I don't touch it with a ten foot pole. Number one, because there's always more sales to come right after. So I don't touch this day. I keep it to myself. And number two, I just feel like it's society telling us exactly what we should be doing. When I know I've been thinking about how to spend my money throughout the whole year.
I've already got a plan. I know what's going on. I don't need somebody else to tell me when to buy and when to support my friends businesses, my small business friends. Like I already know I do it throughout the year. I definitely try to do it at the holidays as well, but I don't go crazy on this day. And I work on my dreams, my big dreams, throughout the whole year. So I encourage you to do the same thing. So happy Thanksgiving, Luke. Looks like it's just you and me on here. I hope you had a great thanksgiving, everyone.
And I hope that you can take this message and apply it to making your big dreams come true. I can't believe there's only a few of these left in 2023. Happy Thanksgiving, Chris. I hope it was a lovely one. I do have to say, I am eleven months into my. Speaking of Chris, my sobriety journey here, I planned to go a whole year without alcohol, and it's almost been a year, and like, I felt 0% pressure to even have a non alcoholic. I picked up some hop waters by laganitis, picked him up and thought, oh, I'll just, like, enjoy, like, the festivities with everybody.
And I was like, I didn't even touch one of them. I didn't even want, like, the non alcoholic. Non alcohol. Anyway, you always think that those, you know, events are gonna be, like, so pressureful, and sometimes they are for people. And I feel that deeply, and it wasn't for me, and I felt really good about it. And I'm waking up super clear today, which I've loved doing over the past eleven months. So, anyway, I love you guys. I hope that you have an amazing holiday weekend. If you're off and if you're working, so am I.
So you are not alone. Love you guys. Happy Thanksgiving weekend and I will see you here same time, same place, next week.
