  1. 0:00Cadre: Thought of the day is never too late

A thought of the day: It is never too late to start something, to do something. We all have a natural desire to inspire others in some capacity, right? I know that I want to inspire and impact others.

  2. 3:11Up to 94% of Americans are waiting for something big to happen

Up to 94% of Americans are waiting for some big event to happen in their life. You have a purpose, and it is never too late. Take action now. Where there is purpose, there is passion.

Hey, Cadre. Happy Wednesday. Hope everybody's doing great. Keep it still. Alright. It's thoughtful. Oh, I was gonna say thoughtful Thursday. It's not Thursday, it's thoughtful Wednesday. I have a thought of the day, and I know that when you hear it, you might think, like, I've heard this a bazillion times, and I have too, but I heard it a few days ago and it really spoke to me. And then if you were here last week, I talked about how I'm always inspired by things that I'm hearing or reading about, but I'm not always inspired to share those things.

I always want to make sure I'm serving a value or speaking to somebody right. So I wasn't really. Nothing was really coming to me until a few days ago when I heard this never too late message. And it just hit me differently. And of course, then it just started showing up everywhere. Yesterday I was at a big event with over a hundred people, and at the end of the summit, a woman stood up and we were just sharing thoughts. And she shared that she's 54 years old and she just feels. She was very emotional and she just feels like sometimes it's too late.

Like, why did she decide at this stage in her life to try something new? And there was a lady there, also 96 years old, and we were just blown away. We were all touched and inspired by her just being there at all. But she was taking notes. She's got a YouTube show, I gotta find her, and I'm gonna be her biggest fan now. But 96 years old. So the 54 year old lady put it in perspective really quick. She was like, seeing this 96 year old lady here engaged and planning whatever she's planning. Like, she's taking these notes for a reason, not just for the heck of it.

She's doing something with them. She's serving a purpose. Inspires me, because that's 40 years that I could potentially have to do whatever I'm called to do. And so it was just a big shift in perspective. And I also thought that the 96 year old lady who was there is still serving such a purpose in all the things that she's doing. But just by being there in a group of all of us women, inspiring us, and I think for so many of us, I know for me, for sure, one of my. My callings is to. I think we all have a natural desire to inspire others in some capacity, right?

Even if it's just people in our family, our children, or whoever. I know that I want to inspire and impact others. I want to use my gifts and my skills well in that sense. And so if this 96 year old lady was there, and just by her showing up in this space and inspiring as many people as she did, then she is still serving an amazing purpose. And so I just want to nail that thought down, that it is never too late to start something, to do something. And on the episode that I was listening to where I really got inspired by this, the lady mentioned that she had heard some studies done that up to 94% of Americans are waiting for some big event to happen in their life, like maybe a child graduating or, uh, retiring.

Oh, my gosh. Or just something big to happen before they start living their life. And I just. I just refuse to be in that group or be part of that stat. And I know that you guys probably feel the same way, so you don't have to wait for anything big to happen. You're here with breath in your lungs today to do something right now. You have a purpose, and it is never too late. And I've even had conversations with my 20 year old where she feels like she may be missing the boat. She chose not to do college.

She's not going that route, which is totally fine, but sometimes she feels like maybe she's not acting fast enough on the next step or the next move. And I don't want to dismiss it or minimize it in any way, because those are valid feelings for her. But I also want to remind her that, gosh, she still has a lot of time to enjoy life and figure it out, be planning, for sure. But don't stress out over it. Like, there. There's. We're here today. We don't want to take tomorrow for granted because we don't know if we'll be here.

But it's just never too late, right? To start doing things and taking action and fulfilling our purpose and our calling. I think that whenever we have a desire within us, we don't make that up. That doesn't come from us. It comes from a higher power. For me, it's God. He's putting that in me, and so I better act on it and not miss out, right? But I just went, oh, and then here's the last thing. This is just so crazy. So I hear a message that inspires me on the podcast, and then I show up to the summit yesterday, and the example of the lady, 96 year old and the other lady was another reminder of it's never too late.

And then at my desk, I have an organizer that carries about 250 affirmation cards that I just pick from every morning. Today, I didn't want to pick a new one. I like the one that I picked yesterday. And I kind of want to stick with that one for a few days or until I feel ready to choose a new card. But I thought, let me just. I'll keep it there, but let me just choose a new card just to see. It says, it's never too late. And then on the back, it says, no matter what it is or how long it takes, the perfect time is right now.

Hi, guys. Junk food junkie. Hi, Carrie. Hey, Joelle. Hey, Luke. Thank you, guys, for being okay. I have a tool. Take action now. Where there is purpose, there is passion. Amen. Oh, cool. This look. I still can't read with my glasses. I'm so bad. People fear, change and failure for sure. Yes. So that's it. I know it's something you've all heard a million times, but a million and one times won't hurt. And hopefully, it's meant for somebody here. And that is it, guys. I will see you again next time.

And I was gonna say, my podcast ending. My podcast is on my brain. I will see you next time. Bye, guys.
