A strategist plans but a joyful one plans for joy. When did you last feel rested? What are you good at that comes so easy you assume it doesn’t count? Who’s in your corner? Whose rules are you still following? What made you smile today? We’ll tackle these questions with heart and extend an invitation to experiment trying something new and joyful.
Caitlin opens her first live stream, shares her nervous excitement, briefly states the stream name, and invites viewers to drop one word in the chat to describe how they're feeling. This orients the audience and creates immediate engagement.
Caitlin gives a quick personal bio—where she's from, where she lives now, her family, and favorite activities like yoga and outdoor time. This builds rapport and helps viewers get to know who is hosting the stream.
Caitlin summarizes nearly two decades in corporate and agency roles and shares candidly about work-induced anxiety, stigma around mental health, and taking a leave. She explains how those experiences led her to start her own coaching business focused on wellbeing.
Caitlin articulates her mission to help leaders 'reignite the light within' and emphasizes values of joy and freedom. She explains the weekly Joyful Strategist Live will provide inspiration, midweek boosts, and conversations about thriving while pursuing ambition.
Caitlin invites viewers to comment on what resonated or suggest topics, thanks everyone for joining her first stream, notes her regular Wednesday 9:15 a.m. time, and closes the session. This wraps up with clear next steps for audience engagement.
Hello, this is my first live stream and I'm feeling a little nervous, but I'm here showing up. I'm super, super excited to join y'all for my very first live stream. I just joined as a contributor on Cadre. My name is Caitlin and I wanted to put together a space weekly called the Joyful Strategist Live, which I'll go into a little bit more context of like why the name in a little bit. But as you all are hopping on, I want you to drop in the chat one word describing where you're at right now. No judgment, just where you are today.
And as people are jumping in, I'll kind of remind of the prompt. But First, since this is my first live stream, I wanted to take a couple minutes just to introduce myself, say who I am, what I'm here to talk about, what type of conversations you can expect within here. And I'm just really, really excited that you're all here for this journey. So I was hi. Yay. Okay, this is good. I can see the comments. Hi. Perfect. Keep them coming. So a quick intro for me. I am from Kansas City originally, so I'm really excited about the upcoming season.
Big Patrick Mahomes fan and excited for the first Chiefs game on Monday. But I have been in the Twin Cities since 2007, and I live in the South Minneapolis neighborhood around Lake Tacomas. If you're familiar, I love to be outside, especially fall, and spend time with my husband and my two young kiddos. My other hobbies, I love yoga and staying active, being with friends, sauna. You can catch me at Embrace North if you're local here. And I would say in my career, I've spent close to two decades in Fortune 50 corporations and high growth marketing agencies really focused on business and retail.
And a lot of things I want to talk about are related to how do you maintain your wellness, your well-being, thriving while you are in the midst of maybe early in your career, mid-career, or sunsetting your career on top of caregiving, maybe your kids or maybe your parents or maybe both. And the work that I do is really informed by my experience. I'm gonna just share, but also the last year I struck out and created my own business where I am a holistic executive coach and facilitator and speaker talking about these really, really important things.
And when I was a corporate leader, I suffered from a work-induced kind of anxiety, depression, insomnia. And at that time, nobody was really talking about it. If you did not have a broken bone or a new baby, you didn't really take medical leaves. And so I remember so much stigma. Hi, Dr. Cherise. Good afternoon. I'm just sharing a little bit about myself and my background and why I'm so passionate about this. But I took a leave in an environment where I didn't know anybody who had done this before.
And so there was a lot of shame and there was a lot of stigma around. taking a leave and focusing on my mental health. And because that was important, but so was my job and my career. And there was a lot of fear around being open about that. And so last year I created my own business and platforms and spaces to be able to talk about that. bringing in the conversations around wellness, wellbeing, thriving, as well as your ambition and your goals. And I created the support that I wish I would have had when I was earlier in my career.
And so That's what you can expect. And my mission really is simple, and that is to reignite the light within leaders to live and lead from their strengths with courage, joy and authenticity so that you can make an impact from a place of wholeness. I'm gonna let that sink in a little bit. I'm gonna actually, I'm actually gonna say that again. My mission is to reignite the light within you, to live and lead from your strengths with courage, joy, and authenticity, so that you can make an impact from a place of wholeness.
because that is where we make our impact is when we are grounded in who we are and our strengths and focus less on what other people have told is wrong with us. And so that's what this weekly live stream is gonna be about. I've titled it, The Joyful Strategist Live Weekly. And if you haven't And that's me. My top two values are joy and freedom. And I so wholeheartedly believe in that. And so you can expect some inspiration, just a check in, a midweek little boost. and a reminder that you are not broken, you are whole, and a little boost from your joyful strategist here.
So thank you so much for joining my first live stream. Drop in the comments on what resonated and if there's any specific topics or any questions that you have from my brief bio or topics that you'd like me to dive into more. I'd love that. Okay, thank you, Dr. Shreese. Yes, thank you. I did take some time to kind of really think through what that mission and each word is really intentional and from a place of wholeness is, I think, critical. Thank you for the encouragement and for making my first live stream.
15 on Wednesday mornings. Okay, have a great day. Bye.
