Hello, Cadre. I'm here. Finally, I've been trying to log in. I am actually standing by my window just to get some connection here. I don't know what's going on with the Wi-Fi, but I'm here and I'm like between curtains. So if you see me like moving stuff away, I'm standing right by the window. So I got to move these curtains out the way. Let's try to fix that. All right, I do have my coffee, but it's in the other room because I just ran over here real quick. But let's get into our conversation. So it is fall, y'all.
Happy fall, y'all. Today is the first day of fall. I love it. I couldn't wait for it. And the temperature is it's really interesting how it's like the season changes and the weather just knows to cooperate, right? I love it. So this is one of my favorite times of year. I don't like it to be too hot or too cold. And this is just like the perfect blend. So I welcome the change of the season. And so that's what we're going to talk about today is when seasons change in our relationships. And do you go with the flow or do you try to resist it?
So I'll give you an example how this might look for you. Now sometimes when seasons change in our relationships, whether it's romantic or friendship, you know, you can see it coming, right? You can feel that there's even a change in the temperature in the relationship. Maybe you feel a little disconnected. Maybe you notice like the communication isn't as frequent or the communication just doesn't feel right sometimes. And you may try to tell yourself, well, you know, try to have understanding of why that's happening instead of just recognizing the season is changing.
And so what happens when we resist the change? Well, what happens is We stay stuck in operating in the old way of doing things, the old way of connecting with each other. And if you have changed or the other person has changed and you're trying to, I won't say get on the same page, but when you're trying to connect in the old way of doing things, it's never going to work and it's going to feel awkward. It's going to feel out of place. But I want you to question yourself and consider why do you keep operating from that old space when the season has changed?
And so what do we do when seasons change? Well, in reality, so for example, today, the season has changed. It's gotten colder here. And so I had to be prepared with a sweater in case it got cold, like too cold for me. it's not terrible right now, but I wanted to be prepared. And I'm glad I brought my sweater because it did get a little bit cold and I needed to wear it. But what happens in relationships when the seasons change and we're not prepared and we're not ready to adjust to it? Well, what happens is we stay stuck, we lose connection, and eventually that discomfort is all we can pay attention to.
So I want you to consider the relationships you're in right now, friendship, with the romantic partner? And are you in a space where the season is changing? And are you resisting it? But what happens if you lean into it, if you acknowledge seasons are changing here and accepting the change and going with the flow? What adjustments do you need to make in your relationship? What adjustments do you need to make in the way you're communicating with the person? What adjustments do you need to make in noticing that there's space between you.
Do you need to get closer or do you just need to learn to let it go? It's okay to let go. I know we don't like doing that, but it is okay to let go of a connection that is no longer serving you or serving that person because we do have seasons in each other's lives. All right. So I hope next week that the live will go a little smoother and we'll start on time. I apologize for coming in late, but I hope you're able to watch the replay. And if you do, drop that coffee emoji in there for me. Let me know you were here.
All right. Have a wonderful week guys. Bye.
